location, decor( lobby floor) , bonus sashimi dish for long stay( we stayed for 4 nights)…
the Japanese style room is like servants’ quarter… not just difference in culture, but big difference in amenities…. it’s only when we changed to western style room that the fun began.

food is nice
location and transportation.
to go to hotel u need advance 3 day reservation before check in for shuttle pass pick up..Sometime plan may change so is very inconvenient.
free shuttle bus schedule have very limited choice of time to go to the JR station .
there is no taxi at the nearest train station to go to the hotel, we have to walk more than 1 km to the hotel with our luggage. there are another couple also same like us have to walk to the hotel.

very clean, nicely thought out public space, staff is extremely helpful

Room size
At the check in, the staff told us breakfast is from 7am to 9am, we thought 9am is the last entrance, but what they actually mean is they want us stop eating at 9am and get out of the dining area. However, the second morning we found the staff didnt ask some of the Japanese guests to leave even after 9am as they did to us the day before.

Room we stayed was big and spacious with outdoor private onsen. They even had CD Player with selection of relaxing music and a massage chair. The fireplace at the lounge area was a great place to relax with a glass of wine :) after a nice onsen bath.
It's not only the design and the concept of the hotel that we like, but also the professionalism of the staff. The staff were very friendly and professional. The Restaurant staff, Mr Dragon 原龙 was very helpful ,very professional ,service oriented and attentive. Thank you so much !

Breakfast and Dinner were fabulous and the view over the snowy landscape was beautiful in this very well presented restaurant.
The staff were very friendly , especially Miura in Reception, she couldn't have been more helpful. The amenities in this hotel are great, and the Onsen was exceptional, especially the outdoor one in the snow! What an experience!
Nothing, everything was great!
