So warm and welcoming, fantastic attention to guests, high quality food and preparation, gratis drinks — really no limit in service!
Baths were nice but a bit smaller than would have been nice.
4.5
The views, food, and service.
The room was a bit dated. Onsen and other facilities were closed late night and early morning.
4.5
Well kept, great location with beautiful views from the ocean view rooms
Feels too big for a ryokan onsen style hotel and breakfast and dinners are gigantic factory like buffets - while the quality is good, compared to other ryokan onsen hotels it lacks charm and intimacy
4.5
The breakfast buffet spread was sumptuous and delicious! I enjoyed the free access to the lounge for drinks (including alcoholic drinks). There was a free outdoor foot onsen next to the lounge with a sea view. Love the luxurious room.
Nothing

There was a lot of kindness and amazing service from the staff. I loved the place and the spa. There was something special about the place.
4.5
The staff, very professional and service oriented. The room we stayed was big and spacious and have a nice seaview. Breakfast and dinner buffet were great with a wide selection.
4.5
the view from rooms was good and the rooms had modern features and comfortable beds. the buffet was varied and tasty
the service wasn’t as expected in Japan. staff were smiling but not helpful e.g. said there were no restaurants in the town when there were plenty, refused to help with baggage and provided no recommendations for tours from the hotel. it was all a little strange really as there were plenty of staff and they seem nice but have either been restricted by some meaningless hotel rules or trained badly but these extra touches make a hotel stay that but special and they had none of those.

Very clean, hot bathtub on balcony overlooking the drift ice. Great scenery.
Main restaurant with only self service/buffet style.

The hotel is located at the gateway to Shiretoko National Park, so is super convenient. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding buffets in both quality and variety. Our room was large and very comfortable with a beautiful view over the harbor and the Sea of Okhotsk. We highly recommend this hotel.

Huge Otskotsk room with outdoor onsen was great fun and added lots of value to our stay. 700 Euro per night was incredibly expensive, but that’s Japan…
Breakfast and Dinner was pretty much the same on 3 consecutive days. Only very minor changes. Although the quality was pretty OK, we would have liked much more variety.
4.5
Fantastic facilities and staff
Dinner was very repetitive for vegetarians/vegans, very few options- basically steamed vegetables/salad/rice only
4.5
Great hospitality with well trained staff. The food served with local seafood was excellent. Well cleaned and sanitized. Great effort during this pandemic.
None.

Food! So much delicious food available.
Price was too high, it is an old building too so should be cheaper.
