Helpful staff, good shared facilities, especially the common dining area with it's lovely view over Utoro. The shared kitchen was also well equipped and the vending machine for alcoholic beverages was convenient (wish there was a snack machine too!)
*We stayed in the apartment which is adjacent to the rest of the hotel so this isn't representative of most of the rooms.
- When we were sightseeing, the main areas were not lockable, you could only lock the bedrooms.
- There was no sink in the toilet or shower area so we had to brush our teeth in the kitchen sink.
- Insects got into the apartment easily.
- At the start of our stay the Internet was very slow. The staff made efforts to fix this.

Great view, friendly staff, spacious room
Entrance by side road not easy to find

Room is clean and comfortable. Able to early check in at noon. Friendly staff and a big lounge for relaxation. Highly recommended.
Nothing.

great location and very reasonable pricing - friendly staff and great communal areas. Free tea and coffee also was really appreciated:)
just come prepared as there is no breakfast service - but you can use the communal kitchen to cook - so come with some supplies :)

spacious! and facing the sea
the price 0.o felt like it was too expensive… compared to my other stays
also, their dryer is terrible! wasted so much of my time and money going up and down the stairs to add another 30 mins just to dry my normal clothes. I recommend others to just use the coin laundry thats 3 min drive away. it was really powerful and get the job done

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean, spacious, and bright with a big window that looked right onto the ocean. Everything you need is provided including laundry racks if you prefer to hang dry (coin washer/dryers are available as well). Plenty of parking. Quiet location and well-maintained grounds. One of my favourite stays on this trip.
Would be difficult to access without a car.

Well English speaking, clean, quite, cheap and basic but we'll equipped, just what a traveler needs. Nice view from breakfast room. Perhaps check out a bit early at 10 AM. Was happy to stay there.

The rooms were super clean, looked like brand new tatami mats. Staff was friendly, gave us lots of travel tips as we ate dinner in the common room. Loved using the kitchen instead of going to a restaurant.

Staff was very friendly and the view of the sea and Utoro port was excellent
It is a bit distant from the shops and restaurants of Utoro

The view is fantastic! Able to see the sea and Shiretoko Park (when it wasn’t rainy and cloudy). The location was key, being 5-10 minutes from the park. It was quiet.

Beautiful view of the ocean from the room. Friendly staff. Had everything I needed!
The bed was quite hard. Location was a bit of a walk from the bus station and restaurants. I found several hairs throughout the room (not mine).

great location, clean and good view of water…the hotel needs to change the front picture because it does not do the property justice. much nicer than it looks in the picture.

View was great. Deck was demolished which was disappointing
Need to rebuild deck

2km away from bus terminal.
You can take the bus to the Five lakes or to Memanbutsu Airport from this bus terminal.
Hot springs and resterauts are nearby.
No food service.

The views looking back towards the mountain range, other hotels just don't get the same view. The well equipped kitchen and staff were amazing.
Nothing

We stayed for 3 nights, family of 3 with a small child. It was perfect for us! Enough space for play, close to the National park, and beautiful sunsets in front of your eyes! It became our home away from home for the 3 nights!
Nothing.

Breakfast on the terrace just next to the water on a sunny, warm morning was the best.
Quite pricy for a guesthouse, even during high season.

Great view from the room across the bay to the harbour and town

The room is spacy and comfortable. The location of the hotel is far from the utoro onsen area but they have a shuttle bus to take the guests from and back from the bus station. If you have a car it is convenient as the hotel has a parking area.
The ocean view from the room was so marvelous and the sound of the sea waves were so relaxing.
The staff are friendly and provide the best they can. If I go again to Shiretoko I would definitely consider staying there.
There are no convenient stores or shops around, so consider buying your own food and drinks before heading to the hotel.

The staff were extremely helpful! We had some problems with Booking.com's Go To Travel services, but they went above and beyond to make sure everything got sorted. We also got a room with a view of the sea.
It was a bit difficult to find. Better signposting would have been helpful.

The sound of the waves from the room and spectacular sunsets were fabulous! It was also a nice walk from the hotel to the restaurants in town (and the famous ramen shop is less about 5 min walk away). The staff were immensely friendly and there is a very sweet dog on site who follows the staff around and who you can pet if you ask! :) Thank you for the lovely time!
Nothing much, it wasn't a fancy hotel, but it was clean and comfortable and well located!
