Everything that was advertised.
Smooth instructions for checking in and out ( no need to go to the main reception)
Never actually saw any staff, but didn't need to as it was room only. The instructions for checking in and out are clear and concise
The rain ha ha,
Actually I think I'm part duck so I didn't mind the rain anyway....dress for the weather and all that

Lovely stay with grounds by the lake, where we were able to walk up in the morning for a mini hike and some great photos overlooking lake windermere. A nice tea and coffee lounge also in the main hall with proper coffee ready made up with real milk.
The heating was broken when we came, but within the hour they had given us an electric plug in heater and then fixed the central heating shortly after, excellent service

The room view was excellent and exactly what I wanted for me and my partner when I saw the likeness image on the booking.com photos. It was a perfect start to the day to enjoy a cup of tea with the sun beaming through the window whilst we lay in bed.
