Would highly recommend this property for a couple staying in central York.

Great location, very easy to access, clean and tidy with all of the amenities we needed. We would stay here again.

Short Summer Break

We had a great 2 night city break at this flat. It was well equipped with everything that could be needed and had a homely feel. The bed was very comfy and there was plenty of storage in the bedroom. Yes there were some scuff marks on the walls but everything was very clean. We were well informed about finding the apartment and the key box system worked well. The flat is in a fantastic location central to many of the attractions. Welcome pack was a nice touch as well as the inclusion of tea bags etc. We would definitely stay again.

Pillows are a personal preference but we found them too flat. We ended up using another pillow from the sofa bed as didn't need the bed. Tight parking space for an SUV for the upstairs flat. Again, this can't be helped but may be with mentioning in the advertising.

Lovely relaxing stay

Beautiful property, both inside and outside. Sofa was comfy. Good selection of cookware in the kitchen. The owners were quick to respond and sorted out a minor issue I had on arrival. Sound from the apartment above was minimal, could hear water running but no footsteps etc for the time I was there. Super close to the city walls, and a 20 minute walk from the railway station. Would happily stay here again.

No real issues. A weighing scales in the kitchen would have been convenient, along with accessible electrical sockets in the bedroom (they were hidden behind the headboard, though the lamp had USB sockets so phone charging was easy). Light sleepers might want to bring earplugs due to the pedestrian crossing near the entrance.

Very nice place to stay when visiting York,would recommend to friends.

Good location,close to city walls.but tricky to find,could do with a sign visible from the road.I did notice a bracket on the wall outside which could hold a pub type sign?

Perfectly situated just outside the city walls with gated car parking on site. The apartment was beautifully presented and spotless. Fully equipped with everything you may need. I will now always check for availability of these apartments first when visiting York again. Rating? 12 out of 10!!

Nice stayed for two nights.

It was nice apartment, the main thing it the bed and living room, just be careful with hot water (which is good) they have hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, tea towel. The room was nice and warm. Very easy access. Remember when you come out, you need to press green button to open the gate.

Car park - I was very struggle to park because my car is big and next there is a car and it took me a while to park and finally she came but not looking happy and I though myself I don't want to dent the car and she took out so I reserved which is better. So please beware depend on the size of the car.

Nice short stay - a lovely quiet flat

well located to visit York (old part). Very nice little flat with everthing we needed for our short stay. Quiet and a place to park (which can be quite difficult in the area)

Value for money. Strongly recommended.

The location is perfect. Many scenic places are within walking distance. Living room and bedroom are separated, so the apartment is really spacious for two.

If sponge is provided to clean the plates and pans will be nice.

Comfortable, modern and well-equipped apartment in an ideal part of town.

The location of George Hudson Apartments is absolutely perfect: set back in its own courtyard off a main road just outside the city walls, 2 mins from Monkgate Bar and straight into the old town with its many attractions, pubs, bars and restaurants. The accommodation was very clean, warm comfortable and well-equipped - I particularly appreciated the Nespresso coffee machine!

Can't fault anything about the apartment. There was nothing not to like about George Hudson Apartments. Like Mary Poppins: practically perfect in every way!

Fantastic apartment to stay in for a long weekend in York. The location is ideal.

We liked the location as it was so near to the city centre and the free car parking space was ideal as we couldn't find a place to stay that had one. Very clean inside. Shower had hot water. Bed was comfortable.

On the first night, the bedroom window was noisy. I think it was the rain dripping onto something, which was really loud and we kept on getting woken up from it. Perhaps something has come loose outside?

Overall a pleasant stay

Great location, good wheelchair access unless you need wet room. Clean and comfortable.

The location was fantastic, only 5 mins walk into town. the apartment itself was spotlessly clean. The owner was great with comms.

Lovely new year's stay in York

Location just outside the city walls was great! Parking on site was very helpful. Loved the decor of the apartment and it was very comfortable & clean. Stayed here last new year and would do so again.

Lovely base so close to everything

Great location, with the added benefit of off street parking. Modern and comfortable. So close to the city centre, a great base for getting back to quickly and multiple times a day. The rooms were well laid out, and everything was to hand. The property warms up really quickly and holds the heat really well.

The bathroom had a few issues. Whilst it is lovely to have a deep bath, it was not easy to step out of. As someone who is only 4'9" I struggled to step out safely and couldn't get out without banging my leg. A hand rail and a better, non-slip bath mat would help. The covering on the door is also peeling. Whilst the kitchen was lovely and had everything we needed, an empty cupboard for our food would be appreciated. The instructions for the oven to not match the oven itself - needs updating.

very very good! highly recommended fabulous stay.

I love that they had thought about the little things like condiments. waging up liquid, clothes, detergents, dishwasher tabs etc

couldn’t control the shower head, tv not connected in bedroom so couldn’t lie in bed and watch tv. shower head wouldn’t stay stationary so water went everywhere and all over the bathroom floor.

Great size Appartment. Very comfortable and clean. Tea, coffee and basic cooking supplies very useful. V close to York highlights and easy access.
