Description of ' cottage, not as expected as its photographed from back. If from front would see its in a row of terrace houses.
Steep stairs. Wouldnt be advisable for elderly or person with mobility probs

Like home from home, excellent location, great communication with the host.

Nice lady next door to meet & greet. Everything you need to have a relaxing time. Enclosed back garden for your doggies. Main road at the front and large park opposite. Great chippy not far and try Blue Monkey pub also not far and dog friendly with welcoming landlord and locals. Greene King pub also close, they do carvery. Location was good close to town and all the amenities hence the main road, dont let that put you off though. Only thing I would say is that the stairs are steep, but there is 2 handrails, no problem for us. That's because it is a cottage style house. All in all, was perfect for our needs.

A lovely, quaint cottage with all the amenities you needed.

The property especially the lounge was well and tastefully furnished. The location was opposite a large, scenic park with Civil War earthworks and a Cafe. Nearby shops included a COOP which provided all the provisions we needed. Christina who managed the property was friendly and helpful.
The location is on a road that essentially forms part of the ring road, so can be busy especially at peak times. The bathroom needed a blind at the window. The staircase (as to be expected) in such a cottage was steep and narrow, although not a problem for us it would be difficult to navigate for anyone with mobility issues.

It was very clean and near a park to walk the dog.
The check in was quite late 4pm.
The stairs were very steep, not suitable for elderly people with difficulty with their legs.
Parking spot is not guaranteed, we arrived back at 8pm one evening and had to drive around side streets to find somewhere to park.

It was immaculately clean & very warm & cosy. The dogs were very well catered for & it had all the amenities we needed. We had no issues with parking & could park easily outside the property each day. We loved having the excellent park so close to exercise the dogs.

The house was super and we were lucky enough to have weather decent enough to have breakfast in the lovely garden. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well provided with crockery and pans. The location was great too, with the Co-op just a short walk away, town an easy stroll away, and Kelham Hall (the reason for our visit) just a short drive away. We were attending a 2-day steampunk event, so the ample storage space in the bedrooms was most welcome (steampunks do not travel light!). Chris was extremely welcoming and friendly, and we had a lovely weekend.
Unfortunately we were unable to get the shower to run at a reasonable temperature, but Chris did tell us that a plumber had been called.
