Location is excellent. Allowance of pets was a factor in our choice.
The lack of a small refrigerator in the room was a disappointment. The halls and the fitness room were too cold; it felt as though the air conditioning was on; this is uncomfortable and a terrible waste of energy. We had hoped to use the fitness center, but did not because of this - the thermostats were locked and set at 63 degrees!

Stylish, clean, calm rooms which are well-equipped for academic work.
Love the newspapers and the morning coffee in the lobby.
We always park off site now -- we prefer that to the valet parking.
We wish you would bring back glass cups for drinking water in the rooms, or at least provide more cups.
We wish the cleaning staff wouldn't knock on the door three hours before check-out time.

Classy, stylish boutique hotel in the heart of downtown New Haven, close to center of Yale campus, shops and restaurants. Walkable to everything. Loved the design, decor and vibe. Room was spacious, light and well-appointed. Excellent beds with high-quality linens, roomy bathroom with walk-in shower. Morning coffee in the lobby was excellent (although there is no breakfast provided -- it's available to purchase via room service or at the restaurant in the lobby). Free copies of the New York Times. Valet parking is available with in and out privileges for $32/day.
At this price point, it would have been nice to have had some breakfast selections provided with the complimentary coffee — at least some pastries or something. Also, parking is pricey--we would have preferred to be without a car, but we drove out to New Haven and needed to be here a couple nights before my daughter could move into a campus apartment, so we had to use the valet parking. But it's convenient, and you can come and go.

Rooms were not equipped with coffeemaker and microwave (we got micro upon request super quick)
Breakfast not included - in house restaurant is quite foody place in New Haven but we did not try à la carte breakfast.
Hotel Staff was a bit dry - unused to families?
But in the neighborhood we met great people!

It is an amazing location which creates a very pleasant and motivational mood. We loved the proximity to the main buildings of Yale. Also the people in the neighborhood were amazing. A shoutout goes to the staff which is very friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure.

The hotel is modern and the rooms are very comfortable. The beds are excellent and the bathroom has a great shower. Breakfast is delicious, with great pancakes. The location is also excellent, making it possible to explore most of the city on foot.
The only point to be improved is the workout room.

Location and breakfast were excellent. Breakfast well prepared. Service consistently excellent. Lobby and public rooms were comfortable, inviting and decorated in lovely understated way. Size of the room was comfortable. Service was excellent - we had to ask to have a refrigerator put in because I needed a medicine chilled. We also had an extra lamp brought in because the room was so dark with only table and floor lamps. Architecture on the cheap because no recessed lighting built in.
The bathroom had no place to put toiletries being used - just a sink standing alone. The decor of the room was sterile - one picture, white walls, black lamps. We had to ask to have a refrigerator put in because I needed a medicine chilled. We also had an extra lamp brought in because the room was dark with only bedside and one floor lamp. Architecture seemed to be on the cheap because no recessed lighting is built in. The safe did not work. Engineer tried to fix it but was unable to. The service to accommodate these needs were helpful and gracious.

Location was great. Rooms was very nice with great view of campus. They have two Tesla charges and the valet made sure our car was charge up by the time we hit the road. Nice touch.
Cleaning staff woke us up at 8:30 on a Saturday morning to check what time we were going to check out. I have a hard time understanding this approach to managing room cleaning and it soured an otherwise very nice stay.
