Clean and comfortable room/bath room. Helpful staff.
Price is a bit high.

The location was good, especially if you’re there for Yale.
The staff was rude, the walls/doors were thin so could hear everything, and, considering the cost, the room was an overall disappointment.

The location was convenient.
The parking. When we arrived we were told that the parking lot usually used was under repair. As a result another lot was used. The issue of course was that neither lot is parking on site. You are asking guests from out of town to wander to and from a parking lot without knowing the area. Not a good idea. Especially with all the one way streets around the alternate lot and the main lot. We quickly got turned around and the map they provided was of no use as it didn’t have any meaningful landmarks. As a result there we were lost late at night. In a town we didn’t know on foot.
Their words were “ya to get back to the hotel after parking just walk through that alley there”. Are you kidding me ? Are you asking your guests to be mugged ? Said alley had numerous homeless people rummaging through garbage bins for bottles and cans for money. A large value target such as a lost tourist at 1am in a dark alley presents themselves. Need I say more ? Like seriously how stupid can management be to think that this is okay. I even had to pay for parking.
I won’t even get into the fact that when I went to park I was turned away being told that the lot was full by other cars as it also doubles as a parking garage. This at well past midnight. So. Dark alley way. Closed garage. When we called to ask reception was annoyed by us even calling. When we finally did get into the garage it was full of students who were drinking and smoking pot as it was a public multi level garage.
Next time folks stay at the courtyard which is where I had stayed the previous time. Parking is on site.
Add to this a noise coming from the hvac system all night. The stay was not pleasant. Had to go out and get ear plugs as they didn’t want to move us to another room.
Now the room we were in … had a huge picture probably five feet by five feet hanging on the wall by the side of the bed. The walkway between the bed and that wall was less than 18 inches.

The overall standard of the hotel was high and the location was good
We booked a king room with a sofabed but only got an accessible kingroom with no sofa bed. When we brought this up with the reception they couldn't change the room as they had no suitable alternative. however, to be fair they did instead give us free parking as compensation

A tidy comfy room with a decent coffee machine, comfy bed, good hot walk in shower with good water pressure, great WiFi. No fuss, just practical, clean and ideal for us. Handy little shop downstairs full of things you'd actually need. Nice lobby to sit in with a chess board which we played having our morning coffee. Friendly staff checked us in and out. Walking distance to Yale, many coffee shops, the cemetery, the bar we wanted to go to, lots of restaurants.

It was nice to have something available to eat that we didn’t expect.
There were no drinking cups for water in the room. There was only one packet of coffee and it was already open. We booked a hotel for 3 people it would be nice if the amenities were available for 3. Coffee, sugar packets, robes, etc.

Our air conditioner wasn’t working the first and second day. Told the front desk several times the room was not getting cooler. They said they would get ann engineer in to look ant it, but again nothing was done. Eventually, we said we needed a new room because no one was helping us and the room was very hot and uncomfortable. We spend a lot of money per night and first night we were sweating/uncomfortable and could not sleep.
The room was very hot and air conditioner did not work.
