Our family traveled to Hood River for a wedding. We loved our house and enjoyed hanging out there in between events! We loved the outdoor deck!!! Clean, well stocked, everything we needed was there - even a cooler for our picnic!!!
4.8
Bright, airy and comfortable home within a nice neighborhood and a short distance to all amenities in the area.

The house is great size
Multiple bathrooms
Functional kitchen with good appliances
Suggestion attention to detail in cleanliness and less clutter
Not enough space in closets
Downstairs fans did not work- very hot in the afternoons and evenings
A/c in bedrooms very good
Outside area had not been cleaned- furniture was dusty and bbq was very dirty- not appealing to cook
Trash bins outside and recycling were full- prior guests trash had not been removed making it inconvenient for checkout

Plenty of room for our whole family! Kitchen well stocked, plenty of games and toiletries, wonderful quiet location but 5 minutes to the action of Hood River. Great view of Mt Adams too!

We came from out of town, looking to show family some nice fall colors, hike, see some waterfalls and taste some wine. This lovely home was a great home bass for all of that. The house was spacious, clean and inviting and had everything we needed. The only thing that came up for us was that the washing machine was not working but this was a minor inconvenience we easily overlooked. Overall we had a good time.

Group of 3 couples used this as home base for a wedding weekend in HR. It was a nice, bright space to hang. A 6 minute drive into downtown. Overall we were happy with the space and would recommend to others.

Nice place

Nice house in a quiet location and a great central spot from which to explore all things the gorge has to offer. Listing was as advertised and the bedroom AC units and fans kept us cool. Place was well stocked and clean enough but would benefit from a real good deep clean.

We couldn't have had a better place to relax and recharge than the Oak Tree Oasis. I particularly loved the clean and bright look , the bare floors and gorgeous local wall art. We all appreciated the clean and well stocked kitchen with new appliances, the comfy living space and of course the lovely patio dining area with views and lights. We were there for a wedding but the evenings at home were just as nice! Amy responded immediately to our questions and provided us with a thoughtful notebook of instructions and recommendations. We were all adults, but it was nice to see kids toys and books. The AC in bedrooms was appreciated and it was OK with us that there wasn't AC downstairs. Evenings are cool even in a heat wave! The bunk bed room is small- fine for us. The other beds were very comfortable and excellent storage space. Bathrooms great. All in all a fabulous place to stay . We will be back!

This house was very clean and well equipped. We had 5 adults and it suited our needs well. It's very comfortable and had much more to offer than we needed or used. It's in a good location for town, the river and the fruit loop. I lost the house key the night before our early morning flight home and the property manager responded very quickly and was understanding of our situation. The only downside is that mentioned in previous reviews; why not put shades on the bathroom windows?

Reviewer Comments:
Disappointed that there were no window coverings on both upstairs bathrooms and that the neighbor who smoked his cigarettes on his porch could see in. Disappointed with all of the cobwebs, especially around all the windows. Disappointed that the coffee filters were not the correct filters for the coffee pot provided, there was food on the cookie sheet that was in the oven. Beautiful home, just felt like as a paying guest , the home would have been freshened up. Felt like it may have been cleaned after the last guests and no one cared to check or clean prior to re ent guests staying.

We really liked the location and layout of the property. Worked well for our needs. The only thing we didn't pick up from the listing was that it didn't have central A/C. The upstairs bedrooms were fine with window units, but the main living area downstairs was really hot during the day and evening.

Cool property w nice big windows! Host was great and the property worked very well for us. Thank you for letting us stay .

This was a beautiful property with gorgeous windows looking over the Columbia Gorge and Hood River - would love to stay again! It was convenient to drive to most things in Hood River, not ideal if you're looking for walking distance as it's in a quiet neighborhood away from the city center. The layout was perfect, small but felt spacious. I wasn't thrilled with having to strip linens, start laundry and clean the kitchen, but a minor inconvenience.

super comfortable!
We really enjoyed staying at Amy's house. It was super comfortable. The beds, sheets, etc. were great. Would definitely stay here again.

Staying in Hood River is a nice alternative to staying in Government Camp - for those who wish to ski at Mt. Hood Meadows, and avoid the traffic, suburbanization, and strip malls on the long drive up the west side. The quiet drive up to the mountain from Hood River is reminiscent of what the drive up the west side used to be like 40 years ago, and helps set the mood for a day of sublime skiing.
For those needing to fill their tanks, there is gas station on the east side of Highway 35 between Hood River and Parkdale with gas that costs 50 cents a gallon less than most other stations.
As for the property itself, coffee addicts are advised to bring thier own espresso machine. Because bedrooms are on the upper floor, but the main source of heat in the house emanates from the lower floor, be sure to leave bedroom doors open at night in the winter to ensure adequate warmth. In any case, warmth in the beds is definitely not a problem, as long as you use the wonderful, thick comforters provided by the owner. The beds are also very comfortable. But the upper floor can be chilly once you step out of bed.
Last but not least, the daily rate for renting this property represents a good value - for Hood River.

The owner is pleasant and the home is convenient. My family really didn’t appreciate the toilet & shower being in full view of the neighbor’s windows with no shades. Creepy!
The home was said to be well-stocked, but this wasn’t the case when we stayed. For almost $500 a night, it would’ve been nice to have a box of Kleenex, some 99 cent shampoo, etc! We had to go back to the store the next day to buy oil for the doors upstairs. They were so loud they were waking everyone up. Also, there was something large, brown, & crusty on our blanket.
On their own, these are not huge complaints, but together they certainly put a damper on our special family memorial weekend. If these things aren’t an issue for you, you’ll probably like staying there.

This is an excellent place to stay in Hood River. Spacious with everything we needed for a 5 night stay. The house was clean, comfortable with 3 bedrooms on the second floor, great deck, quiet neighborhood, and toys for the kids to play with. I would stay here again.

Oak Tree Oasis
Clean and comfortable house, located in convenient and quiet neighborhood outside of Hood River. Easy access to freeway, downtown, and event site. Kitchen fully stocked with cooking and dining ware. Lots of toys and movies for kids. Plenty of space to relax. Nice deck with table and lounging chairs. Bedrooms have AC units, which was critical given 100+ degree days and wildfire smoke. Property manager responsive and accommodating. Would highly recommend this rental.

The house is fairly clean but did have a cat smell and I felt my allergies flare up a bit, probably because of all the carpet. It's a cute house but could really use AC downstairs--it was super hot. Amy was a great communicator and quick with responses.

This house was clean, comfortable, well stocked, and conveniently located in a residential area on the west side of Hood River. Hood River was great - cute downtown area, good food/coffee, and lots of fun things to do (riding e-bikes on the Columbia River Gorge scenic highway, rafting on the White Salmon River, hiking, etc.)

This was the perfect property for a couples retreat. Great location, clean and comfortable

We had a very nice stay at this property in mid-June. The property description is very accurate, and the unit is clean and nicely appointed. We especially enjoyed its very open and light layout. There were large windows everywhere, which could be used to create a wonderful cross-breeze on a warm summer evening. And the views were good.
The neighborhood was well maintained and quiet as a mouse (which we appreciated with all our open windows). One detail to be aware of, the property is on the west side of Hood River, and appx. 1.5 miles from downtown. This is a short, easy drive, but don’t expect to be walking there.
Hood River is a great place to visit, and this unit made a perfect base camp. We were 5 adults staying for 3 nights.

Great location and super clean house
My family of 4 spent 5 nights in Hood River. The house was super clean and quiet with an amazing view if Mt Ranier from the deck and house. The drive to town was only a few minutes. Overall it was an awesome stay.
