About this house rental
Sitting on the Deal seafront, looking out over the English Channel, this imaginatively renovated former 18th-century public house offers you all the intimacy of an authentic Kentish fishing town. Whether you choose to spend your time sampling the delights of super fresh seafood and local ale, or taking in the limitless fresh air walking the coastal paths, or working on your handicap on one of the local championship golf courses, you’ll end every day in the charm and comfort of this beautiful home.
The House
Recently renovated from top to bottom, the property boasts fantastic views across the English Channel. Situated on the edge of the historic old town, it's just two minutes walk from the bustling high street with its quirky shops, dozens of restaurants and bars.
Each and every element of this former public house has been carefully considered: From the state-of-the-art private cinema in the old beer cellar to the repurposing of the saloon bar into a bright, yet cosy entertaining and dining space, a modern fully fitted kitchen, with adjoining breakfast-coffee bar, to the creation of five double en-suite bedrooms featuring contemporary furnishings and designer fittings.
The house makes a perfect base to explore the areas' exceptional mix of golf courses. Three superb championship links courses, Royal Cinque Ports, Royal St Georges and Princes Golf Club, plus two downland courses in nearby Walmer & Kingsdown and North Foreland.
The house is unique for this location given its size, amenities and level of finish. No expense has been spared to create a unique and stylish coastal home set over four floors. All the five en-suite bedrooms have super-king beds, dressed in luxurious White Company bedding and the bathrooms all feature powerful monsoon showers.
The spacious, state-of-the-art kitchen comes fully equipped with every item of kitchenware you could possibly need to rustle up anything from a snack to a gourmet meal.
The main living area was the former pub's saloon bar, and in tribute to the building’s rich history has been fitted with a copper-topped bar, a perfect place to enjoy a cocktail while looking out across the water.
In keeping with the pub theme, there's a second “breakfast and coffee bar” next to the kitchen, an ideal spot for a leisurely morning read.
The former beer cellar has been converted into a cinema and is now a secret haven to unwind and indulge a media fix.
Guests have access to fast, reliable WiFi in every corner of the property and a large washer and dryer for their personal use.
The property has central heating throughout, with underfloor in the en-suites, making it a cosy bolthole even on the chilliest of days.
A house manager will be available to assist you with any needs you may have.
A truly relaxing escape awaits.
The neighbourhood
Deal is a charming and vibrant town with a profusion of unique and individual shops. There's a great selection of restaurants from fine dining to casual fish and chips, a pub or bar on virtually every street offering all sorts of local beers, ales and ciders. And should you need to work off all that indulgence, coastal trails and bike paths run right past the front door.
The area is rich in history and easy to explore on foot, from the mazy smugglers' lanes that run off the photogenic seafront that's home to a sweeping pier and quirky maritime clock, to a brace of Tudor Castles. Take time to prowl the battlements and captain's quarters at Deal Castle, then visit nearby Walmer - this former command post to the Duke of Wellington even features an original pair of his Wellington boots.
Getting around
By Train: The hourly high-speed train service takes approximately one hour and twenty minutes from London, St. Pancras to Deal town centre and the house is a ten-minute walk from the station.
By Car: Deal is twenty-minute drive north Dover and well connected to the motorway network. One parking permit is supplied for guests use, additional pay and display parking is readily available.

Lovely couple of nights at this luxurious house. Thank you for the gift basket and for having a Xmas tree for us.

Such a lovely property to walk into. Spacious, warm and welcoming. This was our first family Christmas in the UK in 30 years so it was a very special occasion. The facilities are truly excellent and the kitchen totally equipped for us to prepare and cook a traditional Christmas meal for 10! The bedrooms are large, comfy and all with their own en-suite bathrooms. We loved the sitting room and the bar and the fact that we could just pop out and walk along the seafront or dive into the little streets. Sally, the manager, couldn't have been more helpful or efficient and despite one incident with the smoke alarm, which between us all, we managed to sort, everything worked perfectly!!
Would absolutely recommend this lovely property for any large group!

Great luxury home for weekend break
Beautifully done property, especially bedrooms and bathrooms. Layout downstairs a bit odd as not enough comfy sitting space for 10 people (excluding basement cinema room which is great). Lovely location and we had a really great stay.

Luxurious sunny weekend in Deal
The property was renovated to an extremely high standard with each bedroom en- suite , big , comfortable beds and luxury bedlinen.
The property was an old pub so has interesting features and very windy narrow stairs!
We felt that for six of us there were not enough comfortable chairs in the lounge , a settee to relax in would have been nice.
A very enjoyable stay thank you .

Stunning Property
The house has been beautifully refurbished to a very high standard, and there is a lot of room. It is also brilliantly located - right on the sea front in Deal with the beach just out of the front door. Will definitely stay again.
