During my recent journey to Istanbul, I had the pleasure of staying at AJWA Sultanahmet. The hotel's exquisite marble ornaments and Ottoman mosaics provided a serene retreat from the city's vibrant energy. My room was a haven of comfort, blending traditional elegance with modern luxury. The central location made it effortless to explore Istanbul's historic sites, enriching my travel experience.
The warmth and helpfulness of the receptionists stood out, offering guidance that made navigating the city a breeze. Their genuine hospitality added a personal touch to my stay, making me feel truly welcome.
AJWA Sultanahmet is more than just a place to rest; it's a gateway to the rich culture and history of Istanbul. I left with cherished memories and a deep appreciation for the city's beauty and the hotel's exceptional service.
No complaints :)

建物、調度品とも重厚で、シーツも高級なもので気持ち良く睡眠できました。3階の部屋に宿泊しましたが、海側はボスポラス海峡を見ることができました。最上階のレストランからの眺めは最高です。

If you are driving, the road around the area is very congested and narrow..

Great staff starting from the bell team all the way to the concierge services. Helped us with transport and storage of our luggage. Made our stay very smooth and easy. Great location for a lot of the main tourist attractions.

Had the spa for myself one afternoon as it is not mixed, in the morning only men and in the afternoon only women.Had hamam which was a nice experience to have !
It was a nice hotel without something extra to talk about. The lobby is rather small, especially compared to the photos.Breakfast was basic but with nice view.

Beautifully decorated hotel ,the staff were attentive, location was not too bad .
The room was nice.
The photo didn't quite match the room , basically we paid too much for what it was ,we travel a bit every year and it didn't meet our expectations, for the money spent especially saying 5 stars in this country . 4 stars a best .

The hotel was pure luxury. The beds were extremely comfortable with a selection of different pillows from the pillow menu. The AC worked well and the amenities are of high quality. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Hamam is superb!
Really not much to dislike

Ajwa is a Boutique hotel right in the middle of everything. The rooms are superbly done and furnished exquisitely as shown in the pics. The food and beverage selection is not much but nice assorted menu. The breakfast menu is not exhaustive and have a mix of turkish/continental keeping it very neutral and well presented always. The chef prepared saffron rice and potato fritters when we asked Miss Kubra for a variation on breakfast menu for the 3rd day. The attempt won our appreciation. The food served was always fresh and the fruits/sweets are one of the best we had in Istanbul. Our room housekeeper Mis Nehmet was always attentive and taking care of our rooms well.
However what Makes Ajwa special is the CONCIERGE TEAM headed by Mr. Vulcan. They take care of you above and beyond. Since i was travelling with my aged parents and whole family consisting 8 members, we had to plan very carefully the 5 days itinerary to ensure that we do not tire my parents during the daily trips. Rest assured that Mr. Vulcan and his team took care of it like a mission. The hotel takes care of dropping guests to all Sultanahmet tourist attractions using hotel transport, however Vulcan and his team took care of our pickup as well so that my parents do not have to tire out while waiting for taxis. We couldn't thank him and his team enough for this gesture. One particular day when the Sultanahmet traffic was at its peak and the hotel cars were unavailable, Mr.Vulcan arranged 2 taxis and rides in one himself to ensure that we are picked promptly from Topkapi palace....we knew we had made the right choice by booking in Ajwa.
The rooms are small but pricey, the swimming pool attendant charges for headcap if you dont have one, the wifi reception inside rooms are unreliable and keeps getting disconnected. The room TV channels are very limited and majority are turkish, the breakfast menu is almost same everyday , strongly suggest a 4 day breakfast menu rotation at least on the main course items.

Room was nice and very clean.
Not at all up to the standard of an international 5 stars. Spa rules are very restrictive: my wife could not take a private massage in the afternoon or evening. Quality of breakfast was poor.

The exceptional staff. The bell captain, concierge, front desk, the lovely people from their art gallery—all helpful, smart and affable. Excellent restaurant with spectacular views. Our suite was perfect. A superb hotel in every way.
not a single complaint!

This is a jewel of a hotel, absolute perfection.
I am a stickler for detail and every detail in this hotel was well thought out.
It is rare that a new hotel has such high quality and expensive fixtures and fittings. Acres of exquisite marble, wood panelling, handmade and extremely expensive furniture.
The staff were all very welcoming and the hotel should be very proud of them.
We have stayed in some of the most exclusive hotels in the world and I would say that this hotel gave us the most memorable experience.
Nothing.

I found the hotel to be very beautiful. the reception staff was lovely. the food was throughly enjoyable and well priced. the location was close to all the major attractions with a sea view to match. everything was luxurious from the date tasting on arrival to our last apple tea in the lobby.
of course it was stated that women and men use the spa separately but I still missed my husband when either of us were at the spa (but this is my own fault)! I did wish that a couple of staff members were friendlier but this is by far a minority. my dislikes are quite subjective and not a reflection of the hotel as a whole

- Amazing interior style of the hotel, beautiful from external architecture to room design in with traditional Turkish details everywhere
- Very kind and helpful personnel, with a best-in-class concierge service (having booked Turk Fatih Tutak 2* restaurant in 2 days before the dinner, arranged transfer service and a local Russian-speaking guide for a half-day long walking tour across the historical city center), concierge even remembered our names even though it only was a 1-night stay
- Great breakfast with a view over Bosphorus
- Nothing major, just the windows of the room faced the opposite roof with a restaurant, so had to close the curtains, but that is what makes Istanbul so special

The location is great 5 min from most popular mosques in the heart of historic centre of the city. The staff is great and helpful. Hotel itself looks in fantastic historic fashioned manner! The breakfast has a stunning breathtaking view all over the city and Bosphorus.
Everything was just perfect so it is really hard to find minuses.

Awesome hotel…. excellent wifi. Staff was the best. Would like to specially mention our guest services host, Maria, who was so gracious, cheerful and helpful to us. Our stay, albeit short, was excellent.
Bedding may have had allergens and was not as soft as we’d like. Harder to control thermostat. Coffee maker did not work. Small sounds in walls on occasion.

Booked this hotel as I wanted to treat my mum. We shared a twin room which was beautiful!! Everything about this place is exacting, high quality and stunning. Super comfy beds with great black out curtains. Great nights sleep. Staff and management are hugely attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The concierge (Beatrice I think) was wonderful, gave great recommendations and arranged our Hamam. Breakfast is first class with stunning views over the old city and Bosferus. Spa is a nice touch free to use and facilities are immaculate. Very central to old city and attractions.
Shame there is no bar...the mezzanine over the lobby would have been delightful for a pre dinner cocktail. Spa times for ladies is 9am-3pm, men 3-10pm. I didn't like this as ladies NEVER get an evening slot. Would be better if say Mon, Wed, Fri ladies get evenings, men get mornings....to make more fair for everyone.

The breakfast is excellent!
The spa is available to women only before 2 pm, after 2 pm until 10 pm only men can use the spa. It's shocking and disappointing at the same time. If women's rights are limited in this hotel then the room should cost less. Never again I will stay in this hotel that discriminates against women's rights.
