Staff were friendly and the food was good for a pub. The pub was a brewery, with it's own beers on tap. The IPA was very good.
Our room was very cold, with no working way of heating it. The rooms downstairs were also very cold too. We asked for the heating to be put on, which it was for a bit.

Staff were helpful and friendly. The building is historic.
The mattress was very poor quality. The hotel should invest in these.
The food was average and could be greatly improved.

Good food. Wonderful breakfast. Friendly staff. Very comfortable.
As we came on foot we would have liked a boot room.

Atmospheric and friendly pub with good beer, dinner and breakfast. Right in the centre of the village, but quiet. We had large room (Blue room) with big bathroom.
No view from room (minor issue for one night stay).

Need earplugs for rooms above pub but was told this so no issue.

A great range of local ales and a very comfortable, clean bedroom for the end of day, and a fabulous full English breakfast!

Good rooms, nicely furnished, excellent breakfast-ideal location as it’s the only place for an evening meal I think - good beer and food. Very welcoming

The room was as expected - the photographs were accurate. Although facing onto the little square in the centre of Clun, it was quiet. Might be a bit cramped for a long stay but it was great for us as a country pub stopover. It is an independent brewey so the prices on tap are very good, as is the beer! Clun is a very pretty village laden with history and architectural interest. Short walks around the village are easy with parking down by the river. Bell ringing practice is on Thursday evenings 7.30-9pm so if you want to experience a real slice of English rural life and a tradition going back centuries, listen out in the village! We were warmly welcomed in to sit and watch. A real treat.

The pub is located less then 5 min from the old castle making it ideal to go there for walks.

It was great we were able to choose the content as we did not want many of the things available, so we were very satisfied with the content and the look and taste of our cooked breakfast. Pleased to see that all preferences were covered, including vegan.
