The room was clean and super comfy ! We were scared to be cold at night but the blankets were heavy and really warm. Our host proposed us a dinner which was delicious as well as the breakfast. Giselle also organised for us our way to the rainbow mountain with a private driver who waited for us while we were hiking. Everything was great ! Thanks a lot 😘

We loved the location - the town is small and cute, without too many other options. This property is perfectly located to walk around town and see their beautiful main square church. The food was great too. It was a good option if you don't want to return to Cusco overnight and plan to see more things in the area. The property was well priced and our room was very nice and clean. It's family owned and they put their heart and soul into being good hosts!
We only had cold water to the bathroom sink, didn't try the shower. And the water is cold mountain water - it'll wake you up in the morning for sure! If you let the property know what time you arrive, make sure you're accurate in that estimate or you might run the risk of them not being home. Every time you leave the property, you have to ring a door bell to come back in. The rooms have no heat but they were kind enough to provide us with a gas heater when we asked. These are just "things to keep in mind" and not necessarily bad. It was a really cute property with very nice hosts and very accommodating. With all this said, we'd stay here again!

Central traditional casona with beautiful decoration,, very clean, with free private parking and good breakfast.. The owner is very friendly and gave us a lot of information about the area. We could also enjoy a tasty dinner for 35 soles.
Nothing. Everything was perfect.

I had lower expectations of the place, even after seeing pictures, but Checacupe is so beautiful, close trip to start the Palcoyo mountain climb... scenic views, the hotel takes care of every detail, a town house built over 200 years ago with many antique details. Fantastic location!
nothing to say here!

exceptional service and food.
a heater in the room would have been nice but I’m sure they would have given us one if we asked. they are a lovely family and they take care of you!!

it was private and I loved the Spanish style villa feel. the vintage furniture and decor made the stay feel unique. our host went the extra mile and prepared a dinner for us, that was delicious. Even breakfast was good.
you have to ring the doorbell to enter property when you leave and come back, and I had to ring it a few times to be heard.

We absolutely loved our stay in Casino Checacupe. It is a very authentic little hotel with extremely friendly hosts. We had dinner there with ingredients from their own garden. The hotel is also a great starting point for most of the attractions in the area (like Rainbow Mountain)
4.3
Centrally located fir trekking rainbow mountains Paccoyo and Vinicunca... delicious homemade meals.
Heating is only available by portable gas heater which had to be turned off b4 sleeping

Clean rooms and quiet place.
Good dinner made by the hotel.
Location is better than Cuzco when you want to climb rainbow mountain.
Room did not have private bathroom, which is not very clear when you book (does not say it has or it hasn’t).
Wifi was weak
