Unfortunately because of the protests we could not make it to the hotel but they were super nice handling the situation. Easy communication and prompt service! Would stay next time if I need to!

Excellent location, the room was very comfortable, clean. The staff was very friendly. There was a renovation on the top floor going on but they stopped making noise in the evening. Breakfast was really nice.
Perhaps the renovation going on could be considered bothersome but it was ok since the noise was minimal and they stopped early enough for us to get ready and sleep.

Great service from the staff. Great location. Good value.

Nuestros anfitriones fueron muy amables y preocupados de apoyarnos en lo que necesitáramos, como por ejemplo, las reservas de taxis.

It is nice small property in good location close to the bus station and yet very quiet. Room was new, very clean and water in the bathroom was hot, although the bathroom itself is very small. But thats ok, most people stay only one night for Machu Picchu. The person was waiting for us at the train station which is nice bonus. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Reality check:
They advertise all kinds of amenities included in the room which is mostly false advertising. Breakfast is very simple, although we were ok with it. The main issue is there is NO AC in the rooms. The advertise air conditioning but it doesnt exist. There is a fan in the room instead. That could be sometimes a problem in the tropics where it is humid and warm and you cannot open the windows because of mosquitos. Other amenities also dont exist. So stay aware.
Still overall nice, clean and quiet place to stay...

Location was great - no more than 3 min walk to where you buy the tickets to Machu Picchu, and on the same block where you wait in line for the bus. View from the room was great. Bed super comfy. I loved falling asleep to the sound of the river. Breakfast was more than I was expecting (eggs, fruits, juice, coffee/tea, cold cuts, cheese, veg, cereal, milk/yogurt, various breads). The staff is super friendly and took care of my luggage after checking out. Oh, and water pressure was much better than in Cusco by the way, and didn't smell bad either. I asked for a heater and they provided it. Nice and warm over night!
The cleaning staff came to clean the room while I was in the room sleeping lol Maybe ask the guests if they want the rooms cleaned during their stay or not.

I liked everything, staff was exceptionally helpful. They met me in the train station and helped me with my luggage. And I loved their breakfast :)

Lucienda (hotel manager/owner?) picked us up at the train station. We did not have a ticket to Machu Picchu at that time and she immediately brought us to the ticket office and gave us advice on how to approach it.
On the hotel, the location was FANTASTIC, just 20m away from the gathering point for the bus pickup to Machu Picchu, and 100m to the train station. Basically it was close to where all the action was, yet the hotel lobby was quiet enough.
The rooms were very clean and well maintained. Bed and pillows were good, and shower was strong with hot water.
The breakfast spread was delicious, and they take orders for freshly squeezed juices and eggs.
Most importantly, the hotel owners were attentive to all our needs and did their very best to accommodate to us.
Like all hotels in aguas calientes, you need to climb stairs to your room. Which shouldn’t be an issue if you are thinking of walking in Machu Picchu.

The cleanliness, location and views from our room were amazing. The bed was comfy, the shower had hot water with great pressure and the continental breakfast was good, we loved our 1 night stay here.
Their blow dryer got extremely hot when I was using it and started shooting flames out of it after I turned it off and set it down on the sink. This could have been catastrophic if it were pointed at my head when this happened. I brought it to the front desk and told the female, but she didn't seem phased and put it behind the desk.

The property has recently been remodeled with many updates. The tiled bathrooms were beautiful. The windows blocked all street noise. We chose to sleep with the window open at night to hear the sound of the water in the canal. It was fantastic. The staff went above and beyond. They helped us make spa reservations after our 4 day Inca Trail hike. They escorted us to the train station while helping us carry our luggage. Everything was spotlessly clean. I would definitely stay at this property again.

Nice place, great location and service from hotel staff was excellent
There is not a balcony, that should be corrected, the hotel doesn't have balconies

Cleanliness of sheets were acceptable. Shower was small and no heat. When we woke up in the morning all our clothes felt dampen. Due to limited understanding Spanish, when front desk called night before asked us when we will be checking out and we told them 9 am and turned out that hotel was going make a breakfast at 9 am. Not buffet breakfast as shown on pictures. We went out for breakfast.

Very, very good service. We were met at the train station. The room was very nice with a view, comfortable bed and bed linen, everything looked like completely new. We could have an early breakfast, which was nice and it was very tasty

Staff, don Sebastiano, was waiting us at the train station, good wifi, near the bus station to MP,
A little bit small room, noplace to put clothes, very small bathroom with window to the corridor and you hear everything from the receotion to the neighbours rooms, no soundisolation,

The hotel is along the river. We were pick up from the train station. The bed is so comfy. There was ni heater but the duvet warms you for real. You can hear the sound from the river but with the windows closed, it is more tolerable if you can’t sleep with this type of sound. I prefer this nature sound that’s why I booked it. The place is clean. Haven’t tried the breakfast since we had to leave super early for MP. Aguas Calientes is a small town, wherever you are is walking distance. But the hotel is really close to the bus station.

The location is excellent, a short walking distance to the train station and bus station to Machu Picchu and next to a restaurant with tasty food (we tried the beef lasagna). We got a room with ceiling to wall glass wall and windows providing a nice view of the river, pedestrians and restaurants/cafes across as well as the mountains. The room is clean, beds were comfy with great linens. Lots of lightings and electriciity sockets. Working desks with chairs. They also provided a welcome bottle of wine, 2 bottles mineral water and a few snacks. Tea and coffee are available at the lobby area. The included breakfast was excellent : and in ample amount : fresh juice, lots fruits cut and whole, breads, ham, cheese, eggs, etc, enough to make us energized even until after lunch time when we got back from Machu Picchu. They offered us to make a take away breakfast but we preffered not to. Santiago, one of the staff, picked us at the airport. We were also allowed a late check out after coming back from Machu Picchu for the second day, but we did not get ro use it because the night beore Inca Rail evacuated us back to Cusco due to the spreading protests resulting in temporary closure of train operation. Thank you very much Santiago and Miguel for being very helpful.
None. Would love beter if the lighting uses warm instead of day light/cold light.

Daisy went out of the way to be helpful to our family with two kids. Very friendly staff.

Well located and close to the train Station. The staff was friendly and picked us up at the train station and walked us to the hotel. Beds were comfortable and the rolls had enough room.
We couldn't figure out how to turn of a light on the room and ended up removing the lighting bulb. The water pressure was fine, the temperature fluctuated when other rooms were also taking showers.

The rooms were really comfortable and spacious, just what we needed for our one night stay ahead of hiking Machu Picchu. The staff really go above and beyond to make sure the experience in town is the best possible. From making sure you have everything sorted for the hike the night before to keeping our bags on the day and even allowing us to shower once we came back. Location is also great and breakfast was tasty and arranged around our early start. we are extremely happy we booked this hotel and would highly recommend.

Very central location, really helpful staff, good breakfast, nice view from the window
the bathroom was small, instant coffee for breakfast

Good location, close to the terminals (train and bus). You can see/hear the river from your room (but I may clarify that the windows block outside sound, hence there is no problem to sleep in case you can't sleep hearing the water sound). Good Wi-Fi, hot water in the bathroom and good breakfast (bread, eggs, coffee and juice, yogurt, milk and salad fruit). The best is the staff - Daniel and Santiago were super thoughtful! I really recommend this place if you plan to have a cozy night in Aguas calientes before your trip to Machu Picchu!

Location was perfect, just a few steps from the buses that take you up to Machu Picchu. The hotel is clean, comfortable for the 1 day we stayed.
The best part was the staff, Santiago and Yenny were excellent. From the moment we arrived to the station, Santiago was waiting for us and we walked for 2 minutes to the hotel. provided tips on how to get the best experience about our hike. They catered our breakfast by giving us a bag to-go that was ready by the next morning when we had to start our hike. They allowed us to relax and shower when we returned too. They really went the extra mile with service.

Our stay at Mapiland was great, starting from the pick up at the train station to allowing us to use the room after we came back from Machu Picchu. The rooms were very comfortable, with very big windows, providing a great view of Aguas Calientes. Also the to go breakfast was the best we had in Peru, including two nicely made sandwiches.
The place is a bit up the hill, towards the top of town, but fortunately as Aguas Calientes is very small, this isn't much of an issue, other than your legs feeling the climb up after hiking.
