Entire experience was horrible! Avoid!
No one spoke English to help with anything. Starting at check in it was an awful experience until I left the property. Buffet was absolutely disgusting (cold sliced hot dog weenies as ‘meat’ for breakfast). Orders took forever and were mostly uneatable. Drinks were watered down, low quality and took forever to get. New Year festivities were a joke. ZERO hot water in our villa. Exposed electrical wires in shower. We had to dine offsite while paying for all inclusive. Miserable. AVOID.

Staff was amazing, did not have reservations, needed last minute accommodations, they were able to get us in, and worked with us to get us the best price and room. Food is amazing, staff even better!! Will always be my first choice when traveling to Isla.

Nothing!
I don’t even know where to start , we arrived around 10:30 pm with a group of 11 family members and booked 4 Rooms , we asked if we can order food or even just bread for the kids that were starving and thy had NOTHING to offer us or them , then we received 2 pages of rules and regulations such as don’t stain our towels (makeup was one of the examples) we will be charged 25$ US dollar per each !!!
The entire hotel smells like gutters, we had NO AC at the rooms at 80% of time , we got told thy have problems with the electricity and that it will be fixed so my husband spent almost all night at their mini hotel lobby since thy do have AC! Thy turn on the generators around 2am so we had crazy noise that we couldn’t sleep .
Then we got to the room and saw that the balcony fence is broken, we told them and thy said “watch your kids “
And didn’t change any of the rooms for kid’s safety (18 months twins and 7 years old )
Then every time you order something from the pool menu or restaurant thy will bring extra food that wasn’t order and thy will force you to pay them even though we didn’t ordered it or eat it , the staff member keep using the word I’m not lying, referring we are lying.
At one point we had a 2500$ pesos bill we gave him $3000 then he said we only paid 2000$
After we called the restaurant manager to open the camera at the restaurant the waiter opened his wallet and took the extra 1000$ that he said we never gave him originally.
The pool during the day and all the way to 10 pm is BURNING that you can’t even spend 10 minutes in water .
Not even one guest at hotel was able to use it so the pool is empty at all given time !
We were sure we are coming to Haven and we actually arrived to hell .
Elevators are not working due to the electrical problems thy are having so we had to Cary the twin strollers down the stairs every day !!!!!!
Same as for the light .
Horrible experience ! We are traveling a lot and that hotel was just worse then a cheap motel !

The service was outstanding, the rooms are excellent and the restaurant is excellent!
The location is a bit far from the center and requires a taxi or golf cart rental. The restaurant is a bit expensive even though the food is excellent

Everything is amazing great smell , cleaning is amazing everything is good. Food is good , I found this hotel amazing and staff was super.
The only thing I didn’t like about the property is if you go with family to stay in one room the bathrooms don’t have doors and family will have to go outside to shower
3.5 / 5.0
Spacious room, good shower, comfortable mattress, pool, good food, courteous and helpful staff.
Very small restricted beach, water not favorable for sea bathing, not possible to have a walk on the beach, therefore requiring mode of transportation to go to other beaches; loud music playing continuously morning to evening.

What's not to like... This is a beautiful hotel that ticks all the luxury boxes. The staff is superb: they were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was delicious and accommodating to all food requests. The room was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. The beach is lovely and private to the resort. There is a little channel of water to wash your feet after the beach, it's the small things that make a big difference to this lovely resort. The pool was clean and beautiful with a great ambience. The spas are set up so you can enjoy the privacy and overlook the beach, they were also nice and warm. The gym was world-class with an incredible morning view.
The pool area had music playing from early until late which wasn't peaceful for pool facing rooms, and made the balcony an unused space.

Beautiful hotel room and bathroom. The rooms are very nice and the beds are super comfortable. WiFi and AC worked like a charm. I loved the large pool with swim up pool bar and access to the beach with comfortable loungers. Had a lovely massage right on the beach. Great little hotel gym. Staff was excellent, so helpful and nice. It’s on a quieter part of the island but there are plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distance and everything else is just a short golf cart or taxi ride away.
No hot water if I showered late afternoon.

The rooms were beautiful with comfy beds.the outside pool was great and they had 3 different jacuzzis as well. The restaurant had delicious coffee.
There was a party that took place that night and the teens were so loud and obnoxious. I would of imagine someone would of told them to keep it down but it went on for a while. Barely had any sleep that night. I was in one of the rooms next to the pool. they should definitely let people know if there will be a party taking place to maybe move them to a different part of the hotel.

The waiters and serving people gave to us the excuses of the night of the party that confirmed finished at 12.20 and until 1.30 with drunked people screaming around our room. I think this persons they didn’t sign the rules that manager in a private mail confirm that we couldn't make noise in the room but in common area :D. His employees repudiated his declarations.
After 20 years of travels, never saw an hotel nice and with good service but managed so bad. The clients are treated like stupid, sign a rules for noise after 11 and permit noise until 2. Children are welcome but aren’t really, and not respected, the hotel is not a category adults only. The manager gave excuses not valid and treat bad the clients and like stupid. He doesn’t neither know what’s written in the rules he made. Please to continue to get good holidays and good quality, owner of the hotel need to consider if want keep manager like this, abusing on the client.

Everything was ok but not the breakfast they include in the fee. If you pay for it you spend more than you could spend choosing what do you want a la carte . For the rest everything was perfect.

Property was absolutely beautiful. Private, right on the beach. Pools were awesome. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was very helpful and attentive.
Food menu in restaurant was definitely lacking variety and very expensive. We ate at hotel next door which had better pricing and variety. Beautiful swim up pool bar and beach bar but was rarely open. awesome rooftop pool and bar but bar wasn’t open at all during week we were there in high season. No advertised drink specials or happy hour. Again we went to rooftop bar at hotel next door for happy hour most evenings.

The rooms were excellent with very comfortable beds and a great shower in one of the two rooms that we booked. The staff were friendly and very professional.
The prices for food and water were outrageous! I was charged $7.56 for two bottles of water while sitting in the rooftop hot tub. Also, our friend's room shower leaked water into the bathroom really badly; they needed to keep a towel on the floor to absorb the water.

room was nice and clean
LOUD MUSIC coming from every direction. This is not a place for relaxation unless you find 4 different types of music blaring from all directions relaxing. you cannot read a book on the beach. It is not a 5 star. I would not visit again. when I gave feedback during check out then then asked to charge me for a packet of crisps from the hotel room. icing on the cake.
the hotel next door looked much nicer and didn’t blast music from 11am so you can try and enjoy the beach with a bit of peace
