High Rock Haven provided plenty of space for all 10 of us. The furnishings, including the beds and pillows, are very comfortable and attractive. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious, and we enjoyed many meals inside and out. Our favorite things include the rocking chairs and swing, fire pit, long distance view, bunnies on the lawn, games, tire swing and creek, and the copper rain chains.
On nearby day trips we went to Sliding Rock, white water rafting, Biltmore, Folk Art Center, and flyfishing. We browsed and ate our way through Black Mountain and sampled the beer at Old Fort.
The roads into the property were easily passable, even in my little economy rental. We suggest that the driving instructions should be updated to include the High Rock Rentals sign at the entrance.
Our host, Mike, was reliably responsive and hospitable. When a plumbing leak was detected on our check-in day, Mike and staff scrambled to get everything ship shape in no time. When I informed him that an unforeseen new puppy showed up with one family, Mike graciously let me know where the puppy supplies were located. The complimentary bottle of wine was welcome and appreciated!
I would like to return someday in the Fall for the color and Spring for the rhododendrons that surround the property. This cabin would be a marvelous getaway any time of year.

House looks as advertised; beautiful scenery; lots of activities inside and out; worth the bumpy drive up to the property.

Our family enjoyed our visit in the beautiful mountain home with the beautiful views, quiet woodlands and plenty of space.

The location was beautiful as were the grounds and the outside of the home. We were so delighted to see the decorated Christmas tree. It was beautiful. The home suited our needs as there were three floors. So we had plenty of space.
We brought all our food for the week so we could stay home and relax. Unfortunately, this was not a cook's kitchen. There was minimum knives and forks and other utensils and the items to use for cooking were very old and cheap. Even though we bring cleaning supplies, there were not the proper supplies to clean the top of the stove. The kitchen area was very tight and lacking good counter space. The cabinets were greasy.
Also lacking were lamps on more tables in the bedroom areas so, it was a bit dark. The lamp in the master on the bottom floor was broken, so we had to take a lamp from another area to see.
The shower on the bottom floor broke and water shot out all over the top of the shower. This was our last day so we left notices about this in the book.
Since we did bring pets, I always clean the floors by vacuuming and wiping down tile and wood floors. Doing this I found out that the floors (including staircases) had not been cleaned before we arrived. There was so much dust and my swifter pads were very dirty. Luckily, I also wipe down before we leave and left the house much cleaner than when we arrived.
My only suggestion would be that this home needs some updating and cleaning inside to go with the location and price.

Cabin/property was absolutely beautiful, very spacious and the front yard was perfect for kids to run and play ! We spent all of our time outdoors either on the huge porch with rocking chairs or at the fire pit !

What a beautiful place to stay! We were there 5 nights with 2 families and we had plenty of space. The kids loved the downstairs room w/ ping pong, movies, and an arcade game. Adults loved relaxing in the hot tub overlooking the mountains. We also spent time at the SWEET tire swing (follow the directions to find it - it isn't on the immediate property, but is close by and you have access to it anytime). The property manager was GREAT to work with. We enjoyed being at the property as well as exploring the surrounding Blue Ridge Mtns and Asheville. The yard at the property is a lovely rolling hill - I mistakenly thought it was a flat yard (for kicking a ball, etc), but we found many other ways to enjoy the outdoor space. We found it great for our 2 families!

We had two families stay here and we loved every minute of it. We didn’t want to leave. Game room was perfect. Hot tub view was amazing.
Perfect house. Internet photos don’t lie with this listing. You will not be disappointed.

The house and views were amazing. Our car had trouble getting up the long, steep gravel hills but Mike met us and helped us up within minutes. Our family enjoyed the hot tub, property trails and the game room. We would definitely stay again.

The property was perfect for my adult age children and significant others! Easy trip into town! Porch and hot tub was our favorite spot!
Mike’s communication was excellent!

The house overall was nice. The only 2 things that I would like to mention is there was no mop in the house and I know that it is mentioned about needing 4wheel drive in the winter however I would advise to either have 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive all the time. Thank goodness that we had 4 wheel drive however my family did not and due to the rain the day they arrived it was quite challenging for them to make it up to the house. Overall it was a beautiful house and the owner was very attentive to anything we had questions about. The town itself is a quaint town and everyone was very nice. Would stay there again.

My family and I loved our time at High Rock Haven! It was absolutley incredible, the cabin and the entire property exceeded expectations. The mountain view was amazing (from the hot tub!) and our boys loved the trails, stream, and tire swing on the property. The big yard was perfect for our dog. The kids room was fantastic, along with Pacman, ping-pong, and the pool table close by the room. Everything was so well thought through, plenty of firewood was available for our week, inside and out of the cabin was spotless, and kitchen accomodated all our needs. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation, we are already talking about booking again for next summer.

9 family members stayed a week. Thoroughly enjoyed house, grounds, and woods with bold creek, well kept trails, fire pit and pictured amenities inside and out. Only left twice to visit kin. Asheville and black mountain have great attraction but we were too engaged right where we were.

We really enjoyed staying here. The house is beautiful and very relaxing. Tons of fun to be had at the creek for the kids. They played on the tire swing and looked for salamanders. Would highly recommended staying. The little town of Black Mountain is great too. They had a wonderful toy store for the kids and a great brewery for the adults.

My fiancée and I have an improvised honeymoon after our wedding in Asheville after our original honeymoon was ruined by a hurricane. We requested the booking and within an hour had a message and approval from Mike. The cabin was gorgeous, tucked away in a private nook just off of the gravel road that lead to the housing community. The amenities were fantastic and the views were breathtaking. We loved everything about our stay! The gravel road leading to the cabin does have some steep sections that our Front Drive crossover had some slight issues with, but overall it wasn’t bad! Highly recommend!

Amazing cabin and view in the mountians.

Beautiful views, clean and comfortable property! If you’re flying in, a local Asheville ride charge app works better than some of the big companies! We had rain one day but we’re still able to relax and play with the ping pong table, pool table and hit up some local eateries! Great place!

Enjoyed our stay ….property had everything you need for larger family gatherings ! Road is a bit of an issue if not used to curvy, bumpy road but easier to handle longer we stayed ! Highly recommend! Mike was a great host very responsive !

Easy to rent and well worth the price. It had everything on our long list, plus was dog friendly. It was in a beautiful hiking area, but close enough to take day trips to Asheville and the Biltmore. We also hiked Chimney Rock and took a rafting trip down the Broad River.

Wonderful home in the mountains. Great view of mount Mitchell from the great room and the hot tub in the deck. Path on the property to the creek and pond were so fun for our crew. Home was spacious for all 6 of us, comfortable, and fun, stocked with everything from necessities to games. Great place, highly recommend and photos do not do this home justice.

Home is beautiful and had everything we needed. Kids loved the ping pong table and arcade game. Hot tub was wonderful after a long day of hiking. Kitchen is well stocked and house was clean and organized. We enjoyed all of the amenities including the remote location. We did arrive at night when it was dark which was an adventure driving up the first time, but we enjoyed that too! Really liked how close we were still to Black Mountain and Asheville. Highly recommend exploring both if you have the chance.

My family needed a spring break getaway from Florida and wanted to see mountains. This house and location provided everything from beautiful views to comfortable stay in the cabin. I would highly recommend this cabin, or any on the property that Mr Roseman owns. I Brielle there are 9 to choose from. We will be back for more fresh air and mountains again!
