About this house rental

Relive the glory days of Lake Lure and the cove life! The house is located in a beautiful cove. Our point was developed as a fishing village in the 1950s. Guests have amazing views of Rumbling Bald Mountain from our observation deck over the water. Enjoy swimming (and high diving), kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. If you plan to boat you can bring yours or rent locally. Although the covered slip at the dock is unavailable, the boat can be tethered to our uncovered swim deck.

The house is complete with fully furnished kitchen, washer/dryer, dining room overlooking lake, flat screens in every bedroom, WiFi, 7 person hot tub, gas fireplace, and pool table. The pool table is located in the game room with a mini kitchen. The property is equipped with comfortable patio furniture and gas grill. Plenty of room inside and outside for relaxing and enjoying the cove.

No pets allowed (no exceptions, sorry). No Smoking. Linens (sheets, towels, blankets, pillows) are provided at no cost. Initial supplies will include one roll of paper towels and starter dishwasher tablets in kitchen and one roll of toilet paper for each bathroom. Guests will need to bring or purchase any additional needed items for the duration of their stay. Before you arrive consider getting groceries at Wal-Mart (if coming by I-40 or Ingles (if coming via HWY 9). Ingles is 12 minutes away from the house.

For protection of our guests, their property, and our property, we have installed EXTERIOR ONLY surveillance cameras. The camera by the hot tub cannot view any one in the hot tub.

Bringing a boat? Great! You will need a permit for Lake Lure. They are issued at Town Hall. You can call Town Hall, or visit the town of Lake Lure’s website to get the info. You can also rent a boat at Lake Lure Adventures or Lake Lure Tours.

Parking is provided directly in front of the house for 3 cars.

This is our third summer at this property, a clear indicator of how much we love it! The property managers are amazing communicators and very helpful. The property is even better than in the photos. Location is wonderful in a private cove but with amazing Mountain Views. We brought the 70yo grandparents with us this year and they loved it too. Jumping and fishing off the dock, kayaking, and just lounging. It’s a perfect spot for fun and relaxation. I only have two suggestions to make it even better - add a couple of lounge chairs for napping outside. And perhaps get some plastic dishware or just dishes that are lighter than the nice quality ceramic set supplied. We typically end up getting paper plates to use throughout the week because we love eating outside so much. This is a gem of a spot! Thank you for having us!

This was our first-time visiting Lake Lure and first time using VRBO. Pleasantly surprised all around. The lake was beautiful with plenty of nearby sites to visit and restaurants to choose from. The house was very clean, completely remodeled, and very spacious. Enjoyed the game room area, kayaking, fishing, hot tub, etc. Very peaceful area with friendly neighbors. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our family’s second year at this house…we absolutely love it. Perfect location, plenty of room and beautiful views…we’re super bummed that our week is already booked for next summer but we’ll try again! It’s worth it!

This was our 2nd time staying at this home. It is a home that promotes family fun. Everyone has there own space, but there is plenty of room to gather inside and out. My 2 kids love the property (17 and 19). The adults were able to relax and unwind.

There were 5 adults and 2 children (5, and 12). This was our 3rd year staying here, and we love it! It’s the perfect house. With the downstairs space for the younger ones to hang out late and game, play pool, etc, the older ones can go to bed, and not be disturbed. The house is beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean with plenty of space, and well equipped. We love the dock area, it’s great for jumping, diving, tanning, etc., and the hot tub is an awesome bonus! 10 out of 10 ⭐️ Highly recommend! Loved this property, everything was provided for a stressfree stay and owners were very welcoming. The views from sunroom and upper deck are beautiful in morning! We enjoyed our days on the water and hiking Chimney Rock... followed by nights fishing off dock and swimming. I recommend this to anyone looking to reconnect with family and friends.

This property provided wonderful accommodations for our family. The house and surroundings were clean and well kept. Everything was is good working order. It was great to have plenty of consumables (laundry soap, dish detergent, hand soap…) available. The views of the lake and mountains we spectacular from the wall of windows and the multi level decking. We would definitely consider renting this property again.

The only reason I gave less than 5 stars for the neighborhood is because of the parking situation. Everything else was amazing the place was clean and beautiful. the beds were some of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in in my life. the location was unbelievable. It was awesome. Thank you!

We absolutely loved this beautiful house! There is actually a TON of space and our kids (10 & 8) made great use of all of it! The high-dive was a huge hit and my husband and I loved that we had plenty of comfortable space to hang down on the dock with the kids or to watch them from the covered porch…beds were comfy, everything was very clean, kitchen is spacious & easy to work in and we really just had a blast. Have already booked our week here for next summer! Hosts were lovely and attentive and easy going, making for a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable week.

I took my mother, sister, pseudo sister and our teen children for a week to the lake. This home is great with living spaces on the entry level and on the the lower level for both groups. The dock was great. We used the hot tub every night. The house is just around the corner from the TikTok slide and we loved watching them. The hosts thought of everything: aluminum foil, trash bags, laundry detergent, dish detergent. I highly recommend this home.

We've already booked for two weeks next summer so I think that says it all! We LOVED Lake Lure and this home. The property managers were super responsive and accommodating. The house was even better than in pictures. So comfortable and easy to live in. The views are spectacular. Our 3 young kids loved jumping off the doc, fishing off the doc and spending time in the hot tub. All the bedrooms have TVs but we never turned them on because we were having too much fun on the lake! We rented a boat two days and were able to use the slip, which was great. I can't say enough good things about this property and the owners. Counting down the days until we are back in 2023!

The space was bigger than we expected! Love being right on the lake and our pre-teens and teens LOVED jumping from the high dive! Kim was an excellent host. Contacted her about a hornet issue and she took immediate attention to it, which was greatly appreciated! Loved the use of the canoe, kayaks and pedal boat! Thank you for a wonderful fourth on the lake!!!!

This was our 2nd year staying at the house, we love it! The area downstairs is perfect for our daughter, SIL, and 3yo, and a great place for the younger crowd to stay up late and hang out, play pool, watch tv, etc without disturbing the ones sleeping upstairs. The house is beautiful, comfortable, very clean, and well equipped. The owners checked in to make sure everything was going well, and that we were enjoying our stay, were very responsive to messages, and so pleasant. We enjoyed all the extra seating areas throughout the house, great for reading, visiting, napping, etc. We also enjoyed the hot tub, outside seating area, grilling out, the dock area, kayaks, paddle boat, high dive, and just floating in the lake and hanging out. It was a wonderful week reconnecting and enjoying time with our family! We were not ready to leave…wish we could stay longer. Our 3yo grandson summed it up perfectly, “I’m going to miss the wake house, I want to wive here all the time!” …..Me too, Bud. Me too. We were blown away by the beauty of this setting right on the lake with the mountain views. We had everything we needed and felt that the hosts were wonderfully helpful with any questions. We were a group of sisters and daughters and we felt that there was plenty of space for gathering and plenty of space for a quiet time as well. Even though it rained a little while we were there, the lower deck is covered so we could still be outside and stay dry. The hot tub was an added bonus!

This is the best VRBO I’ve ever had! We’d never been to Lake Lure before, and now we’re ready to spread the word! The area is gorgeous, the home was fully stocked, and the amenities were fantastic! The bed and soft linens were great to refresh us each night after canoeing and soaking in the hot tub. The satellite tv, pool table, and fireplace were perfect when the weather was uncooperative (as was the hot tub). Tami was kind and responsive, just an incredible host.

We were able to stay in an actual winter wonderland. It showed while we were staying. The house was very clean, just ad advertised. Hotter was amazing!! Host were very gracious and worked with us when half our party had to stay an extra two days because of snow. Five stars will absolutely rent again!!
