absolutely fabulous stay, one of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time - room was small but cosy - it is a wee cosy room after all
great cocktails and attention to detail from staff was noticed

The main hotel looked lovely and we had a delicious breakfast. The staff were lovely.
Wasn’t too enamoured with our room which was opposite the main hotel in a basement next to a rather uninviting common-roomesqe communal sitting area.

Stylish, immaculately clean, great location on all transit routes.
Only trouble we had was the water pressure in the shower. Which was not a big deal.
4.5
Gorgeous hotel with excellent clean rooms. The property is gorgeous inside and out. staff went above and beyond to help in every way possible, be it with luggage or check in. Jamie was most helpful and caring. He even looked after my slightly fussy infant while I finished check in formalities. Couldn’t be happier with the experience

Stunning room, incredibly comfy bed!
Lovely shower and really generous with some beautiful toiletries.
Staff were very welcoming on our arrival.
Brilliant location for our Edinburgh trip.
A little bit confusing with the separate building set up. Was quite excited when arrived at the main building and reception. Although room was lovely felt a little distant being across the road away from restaurant/bar etc.
4.5
Beautiful lounge and bar and very easy to get to. We were most impressed with the service. Zoltan gave us a very warm welcome and helped us with all of our questions, including looking up where we could find music and offering to book last minute dinner reservations. The check-in process was honestly luxurious! We've never felt so well taken care of!

Heel fijn personeel. Ze geven je graag advies over wat je kan doen in Edinbugh. Het ontbijt is voortreffelijk. Je hebt ruime keuze en het is geen buffet. Voor
Mij een pluspunt dat je lekker kan blijven zitten.

supercute place

Really excellent hotel, great location. Staff were lovely, my room was massive and breakfast was excellent.

This is a clean quiet boutique hotel with large rooms. It is located away from the city center in a residential neighborhood. It is a 30 minute walk to the sites. The staff was lovely and the bed was quite comfy.
There are no facilities other than the restaurant and bar. There are stairs, which I did not mind but they might pose challenge to some so book a ground floor room. The menu did not change from day to day.

The property in the photo ( because they have a smaller building across the street) is absolutely beautiful! It’s an old building with grand stairs and the rooms are cozy and comfy.
4.5
Room in the cellar and not in the main building was quite a surprise.
The staff was very chaotic and especially the checkin was far off from what I‘d expect from a 4 or 5 star hotel.
The staff during breakfast was very nice.
Allowing dogs but having no area to have breakfast in and instead having to take breakfast alone in the cold is also far off from a 5 star hotel experience.
All in all I‘d not go there again.

Location
The room is too small .no table or chairs to sit and drink coffee or even eat a small sandwich .no isolations for novices in the room , location of the toilet is bad .
4.5
Character and food
Needing to cross road and no lift to go downstairs and up with luggage (though staff offered to help)

The property was beautiful and our check-in experience was excellent. For the whole duration of our stay, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was expensive but a relaxing experience.
There were a couple of things that disappointed us about the room. Firstly it was way too small, there was nowhere to put our suitcase and the toilet was cramped. Secondly, the room was very stuffy. When we requested a fan we were told fans were unavailable for the room we booked. The window was cracked open which helped a little with airflow but it also let in a lot of noise and light so we were unable to sleep soundly.

great location; close enough to the city center without being caught up in the tourist hustle. The staff, from the moment we walked in were all very friendly and accommodating. Delicious breakfast. We didn’t try the dinner, but maybe should have.
We were there on one of the hottest days the city would get, unusually so. the room, which was otherwise very well appointed and comfortable, was warm, without air-conditioning. But the staff had provided a fan.
4.5
Beautiful property, with a spotlessly clean and comfortable room. The location is perfect for attending an event at Murrayfield. Breakfast was delicious and served by incredibly nice staff. The staff are truly fantastic and made my stay very special.
4.5
Beautiful well maintained property with very helpful and friendly team members. We were going to an event at Murrayfield and it was very convenient for that. A little outside the Royal Mile and New Town but if you like to walk you will be ok. A bus stop is also right our front. We were in Room 203 which was lovely but across the street from the main house which dud not bother us as the weather was beautiful.
The bed was a little softer than we prefer and the tub to take a shower was hard to get into for my 5’1” person.

The staff was professional and friendly. Our food and bar experience was terrific.
Our room size was not exceptional.

Loved everything about this property - the cost bar area and gorgeous beer garden outside. We were upgraded to the Signature suite - it was gorgeous and very spacious. Staff were super friendly and efficient.
4.5
Location, staff and food were all of top quality.
There was nothing to dislike with this accommodation.

One of the best breakfasts I have ever had in a hotel. Staff were very helpful, attentive and friendly. Dinner was great as well.
4.5
Ambience, traditional style, informality
breakfast was expensive for what I had. I was ok but my daughter & son-in-law were across the road and had to come over for breakfast etc
4.5
Five stars is not enough. The service is impeccable and everyone is so friendly and accommodating! We stayed in the suite with a bathtube - amazing! We didn’t want to leave! The dinner was very good, breakfast amazing, same for the bar and the afternoon tea. We will definitely be back, thank you all for a lovely and wonderful experience!
