The location was a little off the beaten track but still within easy reach of the city.. The breakfast was very good for a budget hotel.
The staff were were helpful and friendly. The room was exceptionally clean.
This was not the hotel's fault, someone caused the fie alarm to go off during the night which was a bit inconvenient, however the staff dealt with it rather swiftly.

Location was perfect.
The restaurant/kitchen was incapable of serving the number of guests wanting breakfast. We experienced a 12-15 person 10 minute queue for a breakfast table, waiting around for bacon, tomatoes, hash browns. No cups or plates, no butters & guests changing the jams & marmalade bottles. The items were brought out a few at a time - immediately taken by waiting guests so that it was impossible to have a complete plate of hot breakfast in one go.

Loved our stay. Ample parking spaces, dog friendly, very hospitable staff, fancy breakfast
When we visited, the main lift in the lobby broke down. Guests had to use a secondary lift in the hallway, adjacent to rooms. We were placed in a room on the ground floor, right opposite the lift and it was a nightmare due to the constant comings and goings of other guests who waited for the lift literally at our doorstep. All evening and morning we had suitcase dragging, chattering and baby tantrums.
I appreciate that the hotel was fully booked that day and the amazing staff did what they could.
That being said I would have preferred to be diverted to an overflow hotel instead
4.1
Good location, easy bus connection to Edinburgh
Room was too small and very overpriced!
4.1
Günstige Lage, kostenloses Parken im Parkhaus gegenüber
Starker Geruch im Zimmer, mangelnde Sauberkeit, schlechtes Frühstück, überfüllter Frühstücksraum, sehr unbequeme Schlafcouch
4.1
Breakfast service was appalling. Apparently the main cooker was broken and there were long delays and small quantities of hot breakfast food items. Staff were not checking that there were sufficient quantities of food to meet demand from guests, there was no signage to explain that the kitchen facilities were compromised and some staff were unaware of the issue. The quality of breakfast most certainly did not meet expectation.

Clean, comfortable and great location. Short stroll to Britannia and public transport.

Handy great value option in a really lovely location. Staff are to be commended - really go the extra mile, and super friendly. Fantastic at the price point. We would stay again.

The location was good for us we think better signs would be better we did not see until we had passed it that is just my opinion
Breakfast was very busy some food a little dry we it was busy staff doing best to clean tables and look after customers it’s the first breakfast we have not enjoyed in a holiday inn
4.1
Very good location, clean and nice room.
Food wasn’t great, and was expensive, too expensive for what it was.
4.1
Bed & Breakfast was OK
With an address including waterfront one might have expected to be near if not overlooking the sea. This was not the case

Good location

Hôtel bien situé dans Leith, joli "quartier" périphérique d'Edinburgh,
Facile d'accès en tramway
Chambre spacieuse, bien équipée et confortable
Portes des chambres qui claquent
4.1
Comfortable bed, size of the room, included breakfast,,
Not enough GF options at breakfast buffet, 411 aircon was not working correctly (it would only blow cold air most of the time) Housekeeping did not restock milk during our stay
4.1
Comfortable. Excellent food. Good service!

Location was excellent. Parking was good and competitively priced.
Service was haphazard
4.1
Very comfortable room and great location. Very comfortable bed also. Good facillities. The staff were friendly and helpful at checkin and checkout
The breakfast layout was a little confusing and chaotic. Items were not placed logically - ie no bin next tot the tea making faciliites for tea bags. Milk not in an obvious place for tea. Cutlery not in an obvious place, same with plates. A sense of flow or logiic with some signage would be good and thus reduce "chaotic`' people bumping into one another
4.1
Fresh, good choice
Warning of a 40minute wait when busy. Go early to avoid queues

The location and the hotel were excellent. The breakfast was superb with so much to choose from. The only thing we didn't have was a mini fridge, as I'm a diabetic I needed to keep my insulin in.

First room we were offered was not cleaned properly, however we were given another clean room

Nice room, good location.
Breakfast could be better eg real porridge and not horrid pots of porridge that tastes like wallpaper paste.

Bed was not great.

My Fiancé & I were visiting Scotland for the very first time from London & we stayed in 3 different places over a duration of almost 2 weeks so that we could explore as many areas as we could. We can honestly say that we actually slept the BEST, here! The bed was the most comfortable bed that we have EVER slept in! The curtains blocked out ALL of the sunlight so that we wasn't woken too early with light shining in. The TV was a great size & the sofa/chair in the room was a little added bonus! We could not fault the cleanliness of the whole room including the bathroom, to
The breakfast was absolutely DELICIOUS! We could not fault the food in any way. It was busy & there was some people cutting in the queue & putting pressure on you while you was trying to make a cup of tea, but that was through no fault of the hotel itself. Maybe some more navigation by staff to other people would be helpful in this sort of situation, but it is not a necessity as the staff are busy already. The only downside to our stay was the fact that when I asked for some vegetarian sausages, a staff member made a big point of 'sighing' & told me that I should have pre-ordered them the evening before. We arrived quite late the night before at around 10pm & I was NOT told this information otherwise I would have done it. I explained this to her, but she rolled her eyes & told me that they will be around 15 minutes. I told her that we were in no rush, but she made me feel like I was 'putting her out' so to speak. There was no eye contact & she just banged the plate down on our table & walked away when they were cooked. It made me feel very uncomfortable & bad for being a vegetarian of almost 24 years. I pre-ordered them again for the following morning with a different lady this time & she was very lovely about the whole situation when I told her what had happened. I came downstairs the following morning & she had 2 ready for me on a plate. This lady was an older lady & could not have been more accommodating. She certainly redeemed the whole negative outlook of breakfast there, as I was initially made to feel that uncomfortable that I was going to go elsewhere for breakfast regardless that I had already paid for it.

Loved the location as it was just far enough away from city centre with great tram connections. Loved that it is dog friendly. Staff were fantastic.
Not much.
4.1
I would like to know number of the room and all information about it when I am booking the room while they let the Coustomers to know the type of the room only. The Coustomer even doesn't know which floor is the booked room.
4.1
Excellent location at the north of Edinburgh- we stayed with our dog and that made a big difference!
It’s a standard holiday inn, while the bar was good, the breakfast was not the best
4.1
Good room
Poor breakfast service. No eggs on Monday, long wait for bacon
