Lovely old place, very handy for a day at Aqua Sana at Centre Parcs, with my daughter.
Food was good & staff were lovely.

It is an old pub with a few rooms. The room was clean, bed comfy, staff super friendly. We ate on the evening, arriving late but chef stayed on for us. Food was great and a good breakfast too.
Its an old building so you have to accept its character of low ceilings etc.

the staff were friendly considering the circumstances.
That i didn't have any rooms available even with my confirmation and confirmation of what time i'd be checking in.

The property itself is nice and the staff are friendly but for is not worth the money, the room we stayed in was tiny and it was cold. The breakfast was ok, nothing special but not the worst
The value for money is bad

some parts of the room were dirty,
- bogeys
-dust
-hair
the bar was suppose to stay open until 11:30
however at 10:15 we got told last orders have already been called and we couldn’t get any more drinks we thought for the price we paid and considering we were guests staying that this was very strange and we were not happy.

effortless check in & check out.
Although the room was advertised as a "small double", didn't expect it to be so small, overlooking a small unkempt yard containing a large packing crate & looking onto dilapidated buildings. Cold bathroom, lack of hot water in the sink.

everything about the hotel was great very good staff could not have been helpful . the bedrooms very clean ,beds comfortable , bathrooms fantastic . the hotel very welcoming lots of car parking. The breakfast was very good plenty to choose from everything was cooked to order so all food was nice and hot the staff serving very nice nothing was too much trouble. we had a meal in bar on our first night food was really nice again lots of choice could not have been better. the hotel is set a few minutes away from tourist hotspots Sherwood Forest / cumber park.
everything was first class can’t wait to stay again

All of it really!
The staff were all so very friendly and welcoming.
The food was delish, plentiful and 1st class!
It was really a buzzing place!
Initial check in was a wee bit weird, it took ages for us to find anyone around! However, I think they had just finished lunch service, still could have been better though, as they would have been aware of people coming to check in.

Rooms were clean & comfortable. Good location for where we wanted to stay.
Arrived just as restaurant was closing and a family member had told them we were travelling for a family funeral. Really rushed but ordered food which quite frankly wasn't the best. Pie was edible but chips were awful as though they had been reheated a couple of times. Met family whose mum's funeral it was and were rushed out at 10pm even though the room information stated the bar was open until 11pm. We just wanted to catch up before a difficult day the next day. Rooms were SMALL doubles and they certainly were. Very tight for space in room and bathroom. Bed wasn't great but pillows were awful, thin & very cheap. Had a really bad night's sleep and have a sore neck now. Breakfast was ok but lady serving us wasn't the friendliest. She definitely needs a little more customer service skills and could do with being a bit more engaging with people. Not bad service, just not friendly and welcoming. Hotel stay did the job for why we were in the area but wouldn't return again unfortunately.

Really friendly helpful staff. The room was immaculate. The evening meal was really good. There was a great choice on the menu.
The atmosphere in the bar area was really nice and friendly. The breakfast was again very good, and there were plenty of choices on the menu.
I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again without a shadow of a doubt.

The Staff made the stay enjoyable. Breakfast was very nice.
Didn't have a very good night's sleep as mattress was a bit hard, but then that is a personal thing. The room we stayed in, lot of character but really think they could do with a different bathroom door.

Room could do with a refit at some stage but it was clean and comfortable.
