It was small and not horrendously busy. The staff were lovely. The food for breakfast was adequate.
There could have been coffe making equipment and water in the room.

Attention to detail. Nothing too much trouble for the friendly staff. Everything was excellent. We are hoping to book again.
Nothing not to like.

Very nice room couldn't fault it a little cold but lovely.
It needed a cooked warm breakfast we had a very long day the day before and we needed a good meal to carry us though the day had we were visiting my very ill farther on life support so couldn't really leave his side.

Staff were very nice but could not resolve any of the issues raised.
My room was poorly maintained, no handle on bathroom door, curtains were missing a number of curtain rings so they drooped and sagged, bottle top with chewing gum in bedside draw, bottle top on floor back of bed side cupboard, bed sheet had been changed but had an old stain. Very small 12inch tv located about 2 metres high on the wall at the far end of the bedroom
Very limited choice of food on the menu

Separate lodge type rooms a good feature
We had to eat in a vast empty restuarant as the bar was full of shouting drinkers ( the staff themselves said we should move to the restaurant. Food was standard pub grub and not bad, but the whole atmosphere was a bit depressing despite the best efforts of the young staff.

The rooms had great access to the car park. The rooms were really clean and fresh. Great selection at breakfast.
The lay out of breakfast. Would have been better to lay out the food away from the drinks section.

Breakfast was adequate and nice
The bar closed at 9.30pm on the evening we stayed and we were not told of this in advance, which would have been helpful as we could have stayed at the place we were eating that evening for a nightcap

If I had to look for a fault, the pillows were too firm for my taste

Nothing...the room was average, there was no food in the evening and no cooked breakfast...
Try having kitchen staff...and food..!!! No one told us before we arrived that there wouldn't be food on site..

Excellent location. Very comfortable bed and had a relaxing shower.
Restaurant was not opened during my stay, but you can order take away.

Location was lovely - really quiet, quaint village. Accessibility of rooms from car park was superb
Breakfast could have been more inspiring. Not a fantastic selection but what was there was pleasant enough.

Lovely, cute room and location. We had a good nights sleep as the location was really peaceful. Staff were really nice and we had a good continental breakfast the next morning. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area :)
The only downside was the doors between each individual room, as this meant it was easy to hear the people next door and their TV.

Booked most expensive rooms x2 both rooms pleasant and good size
No cooked breakfast - poor choice with continental
Staff very limited, only one to deal with reception, bookings, and serving at bar. When chatting with them very defensive - believe they were concerned and worried about constructive criticism.
No water in rooms had to pay for bottled water.
No cooked breakfast - poor choice with continental - NOT NADE CLEAR PRIUR TO BOOKING

I stayed at this venue the evening before my wedding and used it as my base for hair and make up etc the morning of my wedding. The room was a perfect size and everyone commented on the natural light in the room. The night before we stayed in the bar and they were happy with us ordering food to the bar.

The Maypole was a lovely place to stay, our room was clean & comfortable.
The staff were friendly, informative, their restaurant was not open & they directed us to a local pub which was amazing.
The check in & out times were good also.
Sadly there were a couple of things that were not quite right such as the shower, it was difficult to move the temperature & it was quite hot,
The continental breakfast was quite poor, very small slices melon, croissants, a plate of meat & very little else, it was not that enjoyable

Bed comfortable. Clean. Good heating .
No chairs. Tv too small for room size .no shelving in bathroom.
