Superb! Would most definitely stay her again! Excellent location for exploring Edinburgh.

What a great experience! The room as clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The bathroom was large & very clean as well. The bath amenities were high quality & very pleasant. Having the Canny Man's Pub downstairs was a great bonus. The food was delicious & the service was superb. We ate there multiple times during our stay.

Amazing run family pub and hotel in the heart of Edinburgh

Wonderful stay at The Lane Hotel. Check in staff were friendly and welcoming. Had a free drink when I arrived :) The breakfast was amazing (The Scottish breakfast) set me up for the long days of exploring. The location was 20 mins up to the centre or hop on one of the many buses which stopped outside the Hotel. The room was clean and well decorated, plenty of snacks in the room) I did love having a few Irn Bru's in the room!!! Bathroom was spacious and modern. Bed was comfortable and great for a good night sleep. Hotel staff were so helpful storing my luggage and calling me a taxi when I was running late. Perfect for a getaway trip to Edinburgh

I wasn't able to have a meal in the Pub except for breakfast :( Nothing bad at all, I was highly satisfied

Great location but not worth the money

The Canny Man’s restaurant was excellent

For £400 for one night, it was extortionate. I was offered 10% off my next visit but even that would make it expensive.

Très bonne adresse en centre ville, j’y retournerai vraiment volontiers!

À 3/4 h à pied du château, un peu moins en bus, chambre très spacieuse, décoration moderne et très design, et lit confortable, très grande salle de bain. Très bons Petit déjeuner et dîner pris au restaurant attenant qui est un pub très typique. Accueil chaleureux.

Un peu de bruit dans la rue le matin, mais assez bonne isolation vitree.

Lovely Luxy Lane

Handy location in Morningside a short bus trip or walk from town centre. Bus stop opposite hotel and service regular. (Be sure to ask driver for ‘Daily Saver ticket’ which caps out at £5 per day/ £22 weekly for all journeys… otherwise you’ll be caught out!) Fabulous spacious en-suite room in Blue Suite with the bonus of easily openable sash windows to street. Bath and shower and twin sinks. Super bed and so comfortable with mattress topper! Tea, coffee, milk and water provided. Let’s of lovely shops and cafes nearby on street. Great pub downstairs- Canny Man’s with lovely staff and wonderful food.

Very little to improve here! Rain shower means water spilled out on bathroom floor so extra towel/ mat would be helpful. No safe in room for passports etc. Breakfast not included for €250/ night rate which seemed unusual?! Extremely enjoyable trip overall / could highly recommend the Lane to any discerning travellers, and we will surely return! Thank you to all the Kerr Family 😀😃

Last minute find.

Lovely comfortable room. Everything there that we needed for a last-minute trip away. On the bus route into the city, so didn't have to drive, which was a huge plus. And some delicious little cafés close by.

Very comfortable room, good location and very friendly and helpful staff

Both room and bathroom were to a very high standard, however I was there on business and found the lighting a bit dim for working in.

Excellent stay with lots of snacks provided.

Excellent location. Room was spacious and comfortable. Love array of snacks, tea and coffee which was topped up by the staff. Bathroom was clean and shower was easy to use and worked perfectly.

Only thing was the pillows being a little too soft and not firm enough.

A real experience of hospitality at its finest!

The premises was spotlessly clean! The staff were lovely. The location was perfect, a 30 min walk from Edinburgh castle and there was parking. The beds were so comfy and the room was bright airy and well proportioned! Shower was lovely too. If I could give it 12 I would!!

Nothing to say here! Liked everything! Really nice touch of a complimentary drink in the very quirky and authentic pub next door! I know this space is for negative comments but don’t have any!

Exceptional stay, can't wait to return

The room was fab! Lovely that everything got topped up everyday, inluding the water, thought that was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable, good pillows and duvet. The bathroom was fab! Always got hot water with good pressure!

Nothing we didn't like! The walk into town was lovely and easy. Easy enough to get the bus back if feet were tired.

Great location but the room was a huge disappointment.

Great location

The bed squeaked with the smallest amount of movement and the mattress was lumpy. Also there was a extremely strong smell of lemon which we discovered was the bedding, obviously they used to much scented fabric softener There was also no coffee machine with only tetly tea bags provided. Boutique hotel/B&B this is not. Also the shower didn’t work, with only a few jets of water coming from the shower head.

If you need a dark room for sleeping the fire exit light in the bedroom might disturb

Great stay would recommend it to anyone coming to Edinburgh.

Very good location, close to some great local cafes and restaurants. Buses into the city center are regular and take about 15 minutes. The room was very clean, a good size with a fantastic shower. The Wi-Fi was faultless and speedy during our whole stay.

The bed was very soft which wasn't our personal preference but if you like that kind of bed I'm sure you'll love it. Thermostat controls were very clunky and not responsive maybe some instructions in the welcome pack would be welcome. There was a series of beeps that happened every night at around midnight, which would be enough to wake you from your sleep we were awake normally so didn't affect us but hopefully they can sort that out.

Fun, cute boutique hotel for a unique experience

The staff went out of their way to make sure the stay was a great experience. The room was well stocked, and there were explanations on how to get around town as well as recommendations. Highly enjoyed my stay and recommend this place to anyone.

Exceptional

Everything. After 2 weeks driving around in Scotland, I can say this was the best hotel we experienced. You can walk to the city centre or take a bus. The bed is super comfortable (best one we had). The room is well decorated and big enough. And the staff is very friendly and professional. Go the pub next door, you won't be disappointed :) In short: we loved it.

A delightful stay

The best shower I had on this trip. Nice pub on site. One free welcome drink, alcoholic if you want, from the pub. Excellent Haggis in the pub. Parking on site.

Amazing

The room was very stylish and comfortable, the bathroom had underfloor heating, a bathtub and a shower. Amazing! There were free tea, coffee and water. Everything was very clean. The soundproofing is not the best, but the other guests were very quiet, so it was not disturbing.
