Perfect location right on the harbour. We loved being able to sit outside with our drinks enjoying the view.
3.0
It was clean and comfortable
Needs maintenance, door handle coming off, broken but otherwise was good

The location was perfect for the most amazing sunsets! Close to the Lookout loop walk overlooking the entrance of the Harbour and a short drive to visit the awe inspiring Tane Mahuta - an absolute must see! The Restaurant food was excellent and we ended up eating there both nights, highly recommended. The staff were all amazing, especially the young local girl waitressing on our first night (so sorry I didn't get your name!)

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff! Villa is very comfortable and the spa was a great addition

everything went well no problems
we had a very high window which went from floor to ceiling was wonderful for the garden view but there was no blind at top of window only on the bottom half so the morning sun woke us up

The view was amazing and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Our room looked and felt like it was mid-renovation. Just had basic furniture and that was it. The curtain in the main bedroom was damaged and it just felt run down and not very welcoming. The bathroom was cold, no heater and very outdated.
The place was full with a group so maybe we got unlucky. I'd like to see what the other rooms are like, more modern and clean?

The swimming pool was great and was the view
The dinner was unacceptable, the room was in need of an update, no 'welcome' folder, no wall sockets near mirror, the towels were not white. The TV was very difficult to use and no signal most of the time.

Närheten till stranden, utsikten var fantastisk. Restaurangen var enastående, snabb service, mycket god och riklig mat, mums!

The staff, the beds, the kitty visits/cuddles, breakfast, spacious room and bathroom, the view was awesome, and I did not want to leave!!!
Getting lost/road closures and arriving late.
Bathroom needs a little TLC but still works.

Beautiful veiw of the Hokiqnga Harbour, easy communications with Staff, quick and easy check in and out.
No cook top facility in and 2 bdrm apartment? Uncomfortable lounge suite for 4 Adults, needs some updating! I guess for the very reasonable price I shouldn't have been surprised.

Wonderful location. Beautiful views from our room. Comfortable bed.
TV kept cutting out. No soap provided.

Location.
TV wouldn’t work. And wifi didn’t work.

The view from the room was incredible. The fact we could walk onto a lawn and then onto the beach was amazing. Perfect for our honeymoon, we felt so lucky.
The room was a little dated I guess, but it didn't matter as we just watched the view.

The location is exceptional. It’s stunning being right on the beach and the views are amazing
The property is very tired. It’s need a good tidy up inside the units. The ashtray outside hadn’t been emptied, nor the bathroom rubbish bin. There were 4 of us and one half roll of toilet paper. The tv channels 1 and 2 didn’t work and the quality of the other channels was so disappointing it was hard to watch the all blacks and the netball. It was the middle of winter and no extra blankets offered in the rooms. Just disappointed for the price they charge.

Location, view - a beautiful part of NZ. Barman on the night we arrived was amazing, even made us a special cocktail which was delish and located small bottles of bubbles for us - that is brilliant service, and all done with a smile. The young barista at breakfast was awesome, he missed the oat milk and wanted to remake it, but I said no it was all good and it truly was, he makes a great coffee 🙂 All staff were friendly and welcoming.
It's not that we didn't like it, but the decor is getting a bit dated. This didn't detract from comfort of the rooms or our stay, we really enjoyed our time there.

Dated Furniture & Decor. End room is dark gets no sun.

The view from my villa. Location of Hotel The staff were attentive and very friendly.
Bigger choice on the menu. The shutters in the room were broken. Water from the shower went everywhere. No internet.
I have tried to arrange a history tour of the Hokianga, staying at The Heads Hotel for 3 nights. I have sent a detailed brief to the Hotel . I have rung the hotel and talked to the manager and subsequently met with the manager face to face. In total 30 days have gone by and no response So, I am assuming the potential business from possibly 20 or so guests from Auckland is not worth the trouble. A shame as the staff deserve better and the Hokianga has much to offer.

Good room Layout, great patio and spectacular views. The bed was very comfortable
Poor cleanliness. Light shades were full of dead flies and moths. Used shampoo bottles left in the bathroom above the shower. Very poor/non existent wifi connection. Such a shame as it could easily have been so much better.
Time for a do up as it looks tired.

Room was spacious and dinner pretty good. beautiful location right on the beach
beds were incredibly soft, and while the room was spacious the bathroom was tiny and you could hardly fit in the shower (also had a bit of mould). the TV in the room hardly manages to get reception too.

This property is in a lovely location and we did enjoy our stay. However the complex is looking pretty tired and could do to have some maintenance done. Disappointingly, the pool was closed during our stay. We were given a discount off our bill because of this. There was no Barrista on staff and it would have been so nice to have been able to get a real coffee. I have to say the meals in the restaurant were very, very good. A buffet breakfast was included in our room rate and this was also very good. Our room was clean and comfy. A very small shower cubicle however. If you dropped the soap there was barely room to be able to bend over and pick it up! The “courtyard” was a tiny deck facing on to a path and a tall hedge. Could only get a couple of channels on the tv.
