3.0
The room size was what we expected and the bathroom was adequately comfortable. The breakfast was a typical English one with a minimal continental variation; an actual continental breakfast should be considered. The location was great the hotel is a 5-minute walk away from the sea terminal and from the bus station. At a similar distance or even less, we found excellent restaurants depending on our interests.
The bed was definitely the main problem: the mattress was small for 2 adults more than 5 and 6 feet tall; it was unbalanced and the springs were very noisy. During the weekend, there were many noises coming from the backstreets and the only window was not sufficiently soundproof. The door doesn't shut tightly, so during the night the light from the aisle enters the room and if you don't have or use an eye-mask cover, you might be awake all the time.
3.5
Great location on the sea front. Close to the local shopping area and the bus stop is right outside. Close to many of the attractions. Friendly, helpful staff .
The room was basic and claustrophobic as we couldn't see out of the windows as they had frosted film on them. Though they were facing the alleyway anyway which is probably why they had the film! The bed was small and not so comfortable. You can hear people walking above you loudly!
1.5
Nice room and breakfast
Room was hot, couldn't open window properly to cool the room as when we returned to go to bed at 11.00 pm the noise from the night club below was horrendous and with an 11 year old with us we all struggled to get to sleep until around 2.00am

Staff were friendly, but one not exactly responsive especially the manager/receptionist with the bald head and beard. He promised but did not deliver, explained the poor internet as the island issue and yet when you left the hotel reception was perfect
Wi-Fi, breakfast and a nightclub at the base of the hotel that had loud thumping music until 1:45am . We booked a family room to attend a cycle race for one of my sons and he got little sleep and yet this was a recommended race hotel.

All good for price.

beautiful view of the bay
rooms very tired

The bedroom (and bathroom) were both large and quite clean! The breakfast hall was very clean and spacious and the breakfast itself was very good! The location being on the seafront was ideal for getting straight out on to the promenade! Overall quite good value for money!
We didn't specify a sea view when we purchased, but our room appeared to be out the back and the seagulls were extremely loud in the early hours!

Staff, breakfast and location.
Shower was a bit temperamental.
3.5
The room was lovely and warm
Floorboards were very squeaky
