Location, location, location. You are in the heart of the raucous (on weekends) old quarter with Pinxos bars and everywhere serving delicious food and cheap, delicious wine. During the day it’s kind of touristy but when it comes time to party….
The room I was in had it’s own bathed room, that’s nice for a hostel.
Well, the inhabitants party until three or four in the morning and if your double glaze windows don’t shut properly (and mine’s did not) then it gets hard to sleep.

The strategical location near to both city centre and beach
The bathroom was really dirty and full of sand. The shower head did not have a proper place where to stay, because it was broken and it stayed on the ground.
The sink in the bathroom started floating water outside, thus the bathroom was flooded.
The room is small for all those beds.
In front of the hostel entrance, there are clubs playing loud music until 4 am. Very noisy and could not sleep.
The skirting board of the room was separated from the wall.
The storage closet inside the room needs to be locked inserting 1€, please pay attention otherwise it will not close and you cannot safe your suitcase/bags. And if you lose the locker key, you have to pay 10€.
Towels rental for 5€, late check out 10€/person, lost card of the room 5€.
WiFi password NEVER worked. Almost 4 days and never worked. I told to the staff and he just said "I don't know" and that's all. Unplaisant staff.
Overall, so much money just for a bed in a shared room, with these conditions.

Roommates and drunk people sleeping in the lobby

In the middle of the old town
Room of 4, small but private bathroom
Wifi didn't work, and you can here the bar (not very loud but I wouldn't recommend it to someone who needs their quiet)

front desk was helpful, easy to find location
very minimal facilities. the bare minimum you’d expect for a hostel. Overpriced for its services. No service from the front desk from 11am until 4pm which was frustrating when my room key stopped working so I couldn’t grab my stuff. location is a double-edge sword. didn’t get any sleep until 5am because outside was so loud, no sound-proofing. Bedding was a disappointment, just a sheet and a ‘blanket’. wifi non-existent.

Lovely room, comfy beds, quiet. There was a bar, restaurant and lounge. The staff was very helpful. The location was perfect.

The location in the old city was as much positive as I can say.
The WIFI didn't work, The bathroom had no towels (you have to pay extra) no soap. the beds were minimal . When I returned home I discovered that the Pension had charged me twice and the did nothing to correct it. I shall not be staying there when I return to San Sebastian in the future.

The room was only half occupied ( four of a possible eight).
The bunk beds were far too low to the ground, very hard to manoeuvre in and out of. The bathroom was not suitable for a dormitory, one toilet, shower and wash basin all in one room. Mor adequate!

Amazing location, and for a group of four people, it provides one room to stay together.

Location
The staff was never there. No internet connection in the room, the kitchen or the diner table, only in the lobby (supposedly technicians were going later to fix it but according to other guests it was like that for several days). The sheets weren’t changed at all, new guests in the same dorm had to re-use them. Way to expensive for its conditions.

very good location. all the bars and beach is so near
noisy, no sockets to charge phone by the beds, room was really tight
8.0 / 10.0
the location is good, like 300 meters to the surfers beach or the beach to sit on
Loud at night right in front of the windows since there are plenty of bars
Phone could not connect to the Wifi

The bathroom light was good - that’s about it.
Tiny rooms, nowhere to hang towels, no electric plugs by all beds, so if you are unlucky there is no charging overnight. you must insert your card for electricity in the room, so no charging while you are out. reception hours are ridiculous.

The location
The noise, not bedding sheets and really small for 4 people

This was a last minute booking.
Location is very good.
Double windows. No noise from the street.
Air conditioning working well.
I booked a quadruple room. The room was too small for 4 people. No space for 4 bags. Space for 1 between beds…
No shampoo. No towels. Beds to be made by the guest.

The location, definitely. All the restaurants and pubs are next door.
Too much noise from outside, but let's be real, if you´re in the middle of the nightlife scene, what can you expect? You don't even need to get out of your bed to be in the party.

Clean rooms and comfy beds
For some reason some of the lockers were inside the open shower so the floor was always wet in front of the locker. There weren't many plugs available, so we had to take turns charging our devices which was sometimes annoying. Staff also didn't even tell us about the kitchen and the terrasse so we only stumbled onto it by accident.

Location is excellent! rooms are clean and what you can expect from a hostel. It is nice to have a terrace and kitchen to prepare breakfast etc.
Add some plants to the roof terrace would have made a more welcomming atmosphere.

location is great, roof terrace is really nice for relaxing and breakfast. the rooms and beds are really clean.
the reception was really busy and it took some effort to stay longer.

I could not get Wi-Fi access at the 1st floor, in my room

Location is fantastic.
Rooms are just too small. It becomes a nightmare if you need to stay indoors, e.g. when it is raining outside. The person in the reception is very mechanical with no warmth. For any information asked, there is only one answer - You are in the center of the city, everything is available outside. There is very restricted time to checkin, and very uncomfortable if you need to checkin before /after this time.

Rooms very warm

It was generally clean and the location is fantastic if you want to be close to the pintxos. The man working at the front desk was very nice and helpful when he was around. He was very accommodating when I asked to switch to a lower and more comfortable vacant bed in the room. The kitchen was surprisingly modern. The terrace is nice.
-The person working at the front desk was barely there so if you have any issues you're basically out of luck. For example, if you checked out and accidentally left something in your room you can't just come back an hour after checkout because he probably won't be back until 4pm.
-The key cards stop working exactly at 11am on the day of your checkout including for the lounge so if, for example, you run upstairs to the 4th-floor lounge to grab your leftover food and you get there at 11:01am not only will you be unable to get into the lounge but you will now be locked out of your room.
-Not all beds have electrical outlets next to them.
-Uneven bed quality - I could feel individual springs my first bed.
-Most of the electricity in the room is tied to having a room key in the holster on the wall which is a nice thought for electricity savings but it means that if you're asleep and the owner of the key in the holster leaves the room that your devices will stop charging.
-The internet is basically non-functional. The WiFi signal is fine from all rooms, but the internet connection is so slow and frequently just stops working rendering it basically useless. Don't bother trying even a voice-only WiFi call.
-The temperature in the rooms is fixed at 24C - there were 3 people staying my 8 bed room and the top bunk was basically impossible to sleep on unless both windows were open because it was so hot in there (the bottom bunks were more OK). Even the guy at the front desk cannot adjust the temperature down. I can't imagine what it would be like in there if all of the beds were full and it were August instead of early July.
-The entire lounge+kitchen is closed at 12am which means if you want to have a snack or a glass of water after midnight you will be unable to do so.

Very clean!
Don't expect anything more than the basics, e.g. no soap/hand towel/blowdryer in the bathroom.

Location in the historic district was nice
Wi-Fi did Not work at all in my room although I told staff, they suggested I sit downstairs in the entrance to use Wi-Fi
