The hotel met expectations

We chose the hotel because of its location to the museums in cinquantenaire Park. We weren’t planning to visit the old centre of Brussels. It was perfectly located for our objective, situated in a good area with food shops, restaurants and public transport. The room was on the garden side, which is pretty and quiet. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

The “charm” of the old furnishings is over-rated. It looks dowdy, apart from the foyer, which still has period charm.

Good location

Stuff is nice, they are really helpful with the booking of taxi and where to go for dinner. And the garden is very beautiful, the hotel is next to Jubelpark very handy to go anywhere in Brussels.

Unfortunately, the hotel is quite old itself, the refrigerator makes lots of noise during the night so I didn’t sleep well.

Top prijs-kwaliteit voor een zeer goede centrale ligging.

Last minute boeking en late check in vlot online geregeld en zeer soepel verlopen; zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam onthaal. Top is de centrale ligging en daarvoor prijs-kwaliteit.

Geen negatieve opmerkingen. Door kort en professioneel verblijf helaas geen gebruik kunnen maken van ontbijt en andere faciliteiten dus verder weinig input.

Pas à la hauteur d'un 4 étoiles

Chambre mal isolée du couloir et des bruits extérieurs. Lumière du couloir visible autour de toute la porte. Bruit de ventilation toute la nuit à l'extérieur. Qualité de la nourriture au petit-déjeuner très passable.

Ideal for my overnight stay

Location for the museums was excellent. Hotel a bit dated but comfortable, very near Metro Merode and some decent bars and restaurants.

It was a very lovely stay for a weekend away.

The location in relation to Brussels was possible to walk or take public transportation, the room was spacious for a single, the room looked into the back yard area and there were birds that I could hear singing. I didn't need to interact with the staff much but when I did they were all very polite, kind, and helpful.

Unfortunately one electric outlet seemed to not function, so one lamp wasn't plugged in/didn't work making the room seem dark. Also, it is necessary to unplug things to plug in say a laptop or phone charger.

Situated in a good neighborhood (a concern since we came by car). Moderately centrally located (metro at 5 min. walking distance; roughly 15min metro to city center), warm room, friendly service.

Interior of room and bathroom old, carpets dusty, had to pay surcharge for parking (only 3 spots available!); fridge was off (not working). Elevator functional, but was a jolting, noisy ride, nerve racking for my partner!

Disappointing

The room was clean and the staff was welcoming. The hotel has good facilities and is in a perfect location close to the European Quarter.

Unfortunately, I could hear the elevator every time it was used which was very unpleasant. Additionally, only the desk-bedroom lamp and the bathroom lamp were working. The desk lamp, ceiling lamp and another one didn't work at all. I asked for the staff to fix it but they were surprised about the issue and unexperienced on how the lamps worked so the issue was not solved and the room maintained without much light. Also, the pilow of the bed was not very confortable.
