Location

Room too small that two people can hardly walk. This is the first time of my 12th visit to Japan that a hotel don't provide drinking water in your room.

Zeer goede ligging, mooie kamer, zeer verzorgd ontbijtbuffet

Prijsevolutie: de oorspronkelijke reservatie voor een kleinere kamer was duurder, heb dit toevallig gezien en herboekt.

Great location

Location was fantastic, right in the heart of all the shopping Kyoto has to offer and a short walk away from Gion district. It was very clean and the rooms felt quite roomy. We also liked the shared eating area on which we had a little picnic one night.

朝食が素晴らしく、京都を満喫できる内容でした。お部屋も清潔で、アメニティが選べるのも良かったです。

少し部屋が狭く感じました。またメールで送られてきたQRコードではチェックインできず、スタッフさんに新しく発行してもらうことになったのが、残念でした。

Do yourself a favor and stay in the kabuki room!

We booked the kabuki room which was AMAZING! Such a cool and unique design. The facilities were great, location was fantastic, and soundproofing was also excellent.

The laundromat was expensive and it took forever to dry, but that’s kind of expected.

Great location and value

LOCATION! Walk out of the hotel and we were on the shopping arcade, next door to a Starbucks! The hotel is clean and clearly popular. Rooms are a good size, WiFi is good, staff is competent and busy. This is a popular hotel! I like that most check in is now automated. You can store bags with the front desk and be off if arriving before check in time. Very clean.

Läget och städningen

Dörren till duschrummet var inte isolerad så det lät högt till delen där man sov. Sen var dörren till toaletten väldigt tung. Små detaljer men när man har med sig en tvååring så spelar detaljerna roll.

Buena ubicación pero servicios insuficientes.

La ubicación es perfecta en una zona rodeada de tiendas y restaurantes muy animada.

Bajamos a desayunar a las 8.30 de la mañana, nos dijeron que ya no se podía desayunar en el hotel que estaba “sold-out”. Si tienen un número mínimo de desayunos para sus huéspedes al día lo mínimo que podrían hacer sería avisar. El personal no ayuda en nada: ni para buscar un taxi, ni para dar información, el trato de los empleados como los servicios son insuficientes. Es un hotel que aloja a muchísimos huéspedes, el check-in y check-out se hace de forma un tanto incómoda.

Excellent location but uncomfortable beds and stained bed linen were a let down.

Really excellent location right in the middle of the covered shopping streets, right by a 7/11, extremely close to everything you could need so very convenient. Staff also very nice and check in/check out easy.

The lobby and public areas are beautiful and clean, but our room whilst a very good size and did have a bath was dated, not very clean, and the bed linen had a lot of stains and was quite old. The old stains and bad quality of the bed linen really surprised us considering the type of hotel and price, but we paid for location we know. Really really uncomfortable rock hard beds and an even harder pillow.

Prima hotel op een goede plek

Mooi hotel in een toplocatie, vlakbij vrijwel alle bussen naar de bezienswaardigheden, winkels en de Nishiki market. De kamer was redelijk ruim.

Het personeel was niet echt vriendelijk en negeerde je soms gewoon als je binnen kwam. Bedden waren erg hard, zelfs voor Japanse standaarden. Je betaalt duidelijk voor de locatie.

Top Lage

Ausgezeichnete Lage mitten in Kyoto. Direkt an eine Shopping-Meile grenzend und umgeben von Restaurants, Bars, Tempel, Shops usw. Öffentlich sehr gut angebunden. Das Zimmer war klein aber ausreichend für 3 Personen. Das typisch japanische Bad war zwar gewöhnungsbedürftig aber absolut in Ordnung.

L’emplacement exceptionnel, tout est à proximité. La chambre d’une propreté impeccable, le personnel tres sympathique, toutes les commodités nécessaires, tout était top. La chambre est tres spacieuse et confortable

A comfortable hotel in an excellent location, right in the middle of several shopping arcades

The location is excellent, near to many of the places we wanted to go to. The rooms are very comfortable with excellent bathroom facilities and good beds. Places to eat, a big variety of shops are all close by.

The wifi was not good. Everything else was excellent.

Highly recommend this hotel. Located right at the heart of Kyoto!

Out of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip, this was the best hotel 'location-wise'. It's right in the middle of a market and only 100m or so away from Nishiki Market. 7-11 store right next door and a plethora of restaurants to choose from downstairs. There are 2 buildings (North and South). Reception is in the South building. Room was very clean. Bathroom is separate to the shower. Staff were polite and efficient.

Loved everything. It took out 2nd place across all the hotels we stayed in. 1st place went to Onsen Ryokan Yuen Shinjuku because it ticked all the boxes and had an amazing onsen with incredible city views from the hotel room and onsen!!!

Clean and convenient

Clean rooms in the heart of a food and shopping area, and a short walk from bus and train transport options. Note the shopping street is not accessible by taxis so there’ll be a short walk to the hotel. It was a good base for travelling to key tourist areas like Fushimi Inari, Kiyomizu dera, and Arashiyama. The train to Osaka was also convenient (on a non-JR line).

It would have been nice to have been informed of the size of the city tax at the start of our stay - 200 yen per person per night.

they change sheets once every 3 days or for an added fee. (only trash and towels are changed daily) I did see some stains in the covers…

Comfortable, economical Hotel ideally placed for major Kyoto attractions.

Great location in walking distance of major attractions like tetsugaku no michi , Ginkakuji and Kiyomizudera. Handy for buses and handy for subway. Also close to the cool eating neighbourhood of Ponto-cho.

There is no down-side to the Hotel Gracery.

I liked that the hotel was right in the middle of Nishiki markets and also very close to public transport. it was a fantastic blend. My room had great amenities which kept me comfortable and clean. I was very happy with my stay!

Excellent location, great housekeeping, friendly and helpful staff. Fully recommended.

The shower head holders are placed in awkward positions so everything gets wet when showering - not very practical.

Ticked all our boxes for reasonably priced stay in KYOTO

Good basic hotel in the city centre. close to lots of eateries both inexpensive and top end. Easy to access transport shops and bars.

There seem to be a few unnecessary rules about things like when you could get complimentary coffee etc but this is Japan! Hotel not on a road so getting a taxi was a flap especially with luggage.
