Morelaggan House is a fantastic property in a beautiful location. The property had everything a multi aged family group required - downstairs facilities with extremely comfy beds for older generation and outdoor play areas for dogs and older teenagers. The view from the dining room, bedrooms and cinema room is sublime. A dip in the loch is a must after a days walking in the surrounding hills. Look forward to returning.

Lovely spacious house. Kids loved the garden, toy room, and cinema screen. My daughter taught herself some tunes on the piano, we now may look into lessons for her as she really enjoyed it. Kitchen/dining area was a lovely space for relaxing and having drinks whilst the kids did their own thing. We had a lovely time, was sad to leave even though we got eaten alive by the midges 😬

Very Comfortable house in an amazing location overlooking Loch Long.

I booked Morelaggan House for my family and friends to get away for a few days during the school holidays.
The house has amazing views over Loch Long and set in a quiet area about 5 minutes drive into Arrochar. The kids loved the toy room and running around, while the adults mainly used the kitchen/dining area. There’s a large projector screen and access to Netflix, Apple TV etc. and a piano too. We also got the fire going with yhe log provided. Plenty of parking for several cars too. All round a great property and stay.

A brilliant cottage for friends or family with beautiful views, a great big garden, an amazing kitchen/diner which is fully equipped, and an amazing cinema room with huge projector screen and log burner. Location is great for many nearby days out. We will definitely be back.

From the moment we careened around the final bend and signaled into Morelaggan House, we knew we chose wisely! The cottage itself is quintessentially Scottish and the view of the Loch is to-die-for! Access to the water is a breeze - with just a short walk through the gate, and a few steps, and you’re there. Although the Loch was brisk, we indulged in a daily dip to start our mornings.
The cottage is well-equipped should you want to stay in for the day, cooking/baking on or in the AGA, and lounging by a roaring fire. Should you fancy a day trip, Morelaggan House is conveniently located for quick trips to nearby sea towns for mussels (Sugar Boat) or fish and chips!
Linda was very prompt with a silly question we had and was a gracious host to boot.
Don’t hesitate when booking Morelaggan House for a truly memorable Scottish holiday!

We had a wonderful stay in the house, amazing view, we liked the AGA and the whole place

The house was nice but a few things lacking. The. “Private Beach” was very overgrown and unmaintained, overgrown bushes that need cut back and rubbish on the shore. There is also nowhere to sit at the shore side. The Aga in the kitchen makes it very warm in summer months as it’s on constantly. The kitchen is a lovely room where we spent most of our time but had to have windows and door open constantly to be comfortable which led to an incident with a bat coming in!! The cinema room was great and there is lots of board games etc to keep the family amused! Overall we enjoyed our stay but we were there to enjoy time on the loch with paddle boards etc and the access to the water restricted that for some family members as it was not accessible to them

We had a great time at the house even though the weather was not very good. The kitchen and the cinema room are very cosy. The owner, Linda, is so nice and helped us with everything. We even saw a seal twice at the little beach.
Thank you, Linda!

Very clean, comfortable and very well equipped property in a secluded spot with beautiful views. Local scenery and amenities excellent. went for several trips and visits as well as walks. However would have also been happy just staying at the property and relaxing, play games, reading and watching films!

Lovely house in beautiful location with amazing views.
Took elderly parents for a weekend break and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Comfortable beds, plenty living space, fully equipped facilities and more!!! Loved the aga and the log fire. Would recommend to anyone looking for an escape to the country. Perfect for families of all ages.

We stayed in this property for our family holiday, 6 adults, 2 children and our 2 dogs. Spacious, lovely garden with outside activities, badminton net. Good sized rooms with comfortable beds, nice indoor play area for children, very well equipped living kitchen area with Aga. The cinema room was fantastic and the baby grand piano was a great asset.
The cottage is about 2 miles out of Arrochar, need to take care turning into the property and joining the narrow road when leaving. Definitely would stay again here.

A couple of small problems, which didn't deter from the overall experience. Fantastic family time.

Just home from a fantastic few days . The house was amazing . We were blown away with how perfect it was. The view was beautiful, the house had everything we needed and more. Beds were all really comfortable. The log burner kept us so cosy. Kitchen is well stocked. A lovely place to stay with friends or family . Couldn’t fault anything about it. Great communication with host too. Would definitely love to come back .

Incredible from start to finish
Our grooms party thoroughly enjoyed their stay here the night before the wedding.
The house had everything they could have needed and more (all very big fans of the cinema room!)
The views and location are incredible and they enjoyed taking our best boy, Thor, out to enjoy the scenes and private beach.
One of our groomsmen is a professional chef so to say he was excited to mak3 use of the aga and equipment would be an understatement! They had a fantastic dinner and breakfast and one groomsman was like a kid at Christmas.
Linda was in constant contact and the directions left over the house were easy to follow and made the stay even more comfortable.
I was lucky enough to enjoy a night myself after the wedding and can say that I was blown away! We are all already making plans to return and looking forward to seeing more of the sights and having more cosy movie nights!
Thank you so much again, Linda! For the welcome sign, hamper and the use of a beautiful home before our wedding!

Relaxing week with Family
We had a lovely time staying at Linda’s place for my 40th. We were a group of 8 and there was plenty of space for us to not get in each other’s way when we wanted our own time. The log fire and cinema room were amazing! And the kitchen/dinner a great social space.
The location was a little further away from Arrochar than we thought so you definitely need to drive everywhere but we were ok with that.
Linda was also very responsive and helpful, providing good recommendations.
All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

A fantastic getaway
Morelaggan was just what we needed for a family get together - a nice space to be together (as well as apart) and in a lovely location. Great views of the loch and beyond were a treat to wake up to every day.
The cinema room was a bit hit with the family, but equally the open plan kitchen and dining room was a such a great place to all come together throughout the day.
We had 6 people and 2 dogs and lots of space to spare - perfect!

Brilliant stay at Morelaggan House
What a wonderful week staying in this lovely home with my daughters and their families. We all loved the location. Hills, access to Loch Long, big garden enjoyed by humans and dogs! Lots of space in the house although we tended to spend ages in the kitchen/dining area both before and after meals.

Very nice house in beautiful surroundings, close enough to shops, pubs and other attractions but far enough away to enjoy some privacy. Would recommend.

Lovely place
The house is stunning inside and absolutely massive. The views from all the bedrooms are amazing as they look over loch long. Will definitely be returning at one point or another. The private beach is beautiful as well as it’s just sits by the loch. Only thing is the bigger supermarkets are a bit further away but not too far to be a massive issue.

Heaven on earth
We spent a fantastic week at this well equipped, comfortable, beautifully furnished home from home. We found ourselves sitting outside every evening with a glass of wine and fabulous views of the Loch whist the children played on the trampoline and rope swings. The moody teenagers loved the cinema room and the one day it rained we lit a fire and had a film night . There’s a fantastic walk to the local pub and it’s very accessible to the beaches on Loch Lomond. This house really makes you dream of a second home in Scotland..

Thank you very much for the rental of your property it’s been a lovely stay, even when the weather didn’t hold out, the cinema room was such a great addition - think we’re all trying to work out how to fit one in at home now! Also the upstairs for the kids was brilliant, mum could rest in peace they couldn’t escape down the stairs whilst getting herself ready.

Beautiful spacious property with gorgeous view over Loch Long
We really enjoyed the space, which was suitable for our extended family. The cinema room was great, as were the outdoor toys and indoor games. The kitchen diner is well equipped, and very cosy, with the AGA stove.

The house was lovely. There was not a lot open locally so we were very grateful for the cinema room. The views from the bedrooms and kitchen were beautiful and I miss them already.
