Exceptional
The cottage was very comfortable, clean and nice. The owners were so kind and helpful. They provided us all the information and suggestions about the area. They were very thoughtful, they welcome us with a hamper basket and there were games and toys for our son.

Superb
Charming historic building, wood burning stove (great for a cold winter's day), loads of great food options in the surrounding area (Bridge Arms especially good, and just 30 seconds walk away). The welcome basket was a nice touch.
No toiletries provided, so don't forget to bring your own

staying for a wedding locally so not in the cottage much. comfortable and met our needs while we were there.
character property, lovely decorative touches
no guest toiletries though these were in the listing; quite drafty and cold downstairs till we worked out one of the radiators had been turned off.

Excellent
Warm welcome from a genuinely nice pair of hosts. Spotlessly clean. Abundant and generous welcome hamper. Warm and cosy. Well equipped kitchen. Stuffed full of character. Light, airy bedroom. Lots of games etc. for a wet day.
Little not to like. The only problem we encountered was car parking, which was a bit of a pain when returning after commuting hours had ended. Caution would be needed if an infirm person were to be using the property, as the stairs are narrow and winding. But then it is a five hundred year old cottage.

Lovely cottage, we had a fabulous little break. We particularly liked the wood burning stove and welcome package when we arrived. Thank you Lexie and Jon.
