The apartment is beautifully, tastefully furnished. It is private, quiet, there are laundry facilities, the internet was perfect. When there were problems (e.g., the hotplate didn't function), there was immediate response. Bed was fine, there was a heater in the bathroom (!), the lighting was good. For us, the location was perfect.
There was no dresser to store clothes, just a hanging closet. The bed was in an alcove, not a separate room, and there was little room around it. We were there for 12 days and there was no cleaning.

The unit is recently and very well finished. It was neat and clean. We will hopefully stay there again.
It could use a full length mirror. The parking situation in Alameda is terrible, thi neighborhood is no exception.

The house is on the most beautiful street in Alameda! Gorgeous landscaping, and amazing modern and retro decor. We were very comfortable during our stay.
These are very minor things, but since you asked...it would have been nice if there had been a dresser to put our clothes in and more hooks on the walls to hang stuff. but we adjusted and it wasn't a problem.

Beautiful House on a very quiet street in Alameda. Despite being part of Oakland, Alameda looks very tidy and feels absolutely secure. Nice cafes and bistros in close proximity.
The room and garden were fantastic and we would have loved to stay longer.
Highly recommended!
A full size mirror and possibly more storage space for suitcases, clothes and toiletteries

Great location! Everything you need is super close. Beautiful area. The house is amazing! San Francisco is just 20 minutes by ferry, which is a great experience as well. The host is very friendly and provided us with information on what to see in the area and in SF.

Beautifully appointed and maintained apartment. Very comfortable with lots of charm. It had everything we could ask for in our short stay. The bed was so comfortable, it felt like I was at home. The outdoor garden was great for relaxing. It is obvious that Naveen has put a lot of his time into making this a perfect retreat. He is a charming and fun host.
There was nothing to dislike.

The home was like a sanctuary. Beautiful, clean, nice decor, a sense of home away from home. It's very clean. Beautiful little garden and patio area. At night, there are blooming flowers that smell like honey. The house is relatively close to the beach as well. I did not try walking there, but my host loaned me a bike, and took me on a guided tour of part of Alameda, along the waterfront. He's very kind, and clearly loves meeting people. I went for some time away from home (a retreat), but if you were using this as a base to see the Bay Area, or to work in peace, it would be great.
I think the only thing to realize is that this is the lower level 1 BR suite of a 2 story Victorian house. So you might hear footfalls and music from upstairs. That being said, as I mentioned, the host is incredibly nice, respectful, and very responsive, so if you found any noise transmission bothered you, you could drop him a quick text and he'd respond right away.
