Freshener in the hallways

It was clean and the bathtub wasn't slippery. The room was large and comfortable.
The elevator was broken, there were no glasses and not enough waste baskets. The door to the bathroom was so huge it was always in the way, and there was no rack to hang one's face towels or hand towels near the sink. For such a large room it only had a queen bed in it.

It was clean. They had us scheduled for a third floor room with a broken elevator. The front desk guy was very nice and found us a first floor room. The room was nothing special but it was clean and we were there for a night to catch a plane the next day.
The facility was kind of dark as was our room. The breakfast was minimal but tasty.

I booked two rooms for five days at the Extended Stay Hotel in Alameda. One for my mother and sister, the other for me and my brother. Late into the night, my mom started knocking on my door. She was complaining about how her room smelled like it had a chemical leak. As I walked back to her room in the hallway, I noticed gas like vapors slowly coating most of the second floor. This wasn’t just my mom’s nostril sensitivity; the hallway was literally covered in what smelled like a fuel leak from a busted pipe. Me and my family decided to check out in order to keep my mom from literally dying as a result of being exposed to the toxic vapors. I only received a refund for the booking fee of the first room I purchased. I’m still trying to get back the rest of my money. Later that week, my sister researched review of the Extended Stay in Alameda CA. It turns out there have been complaints over the same toxic, nausea inducing smell.

It was a comfortable bead and the wifi worked...barely. The location was near where I needed to be, so I guess that was a positive. But, it was super close to the airport noise.
The whole hotel smelled like fish and marijuana, including all of the employees. They refused to provide a "no services needed" tag for the door, so the smell was pervasive. The staff wasn't helpful, the hotel was noisy, and the breakfast offerings were meager.

the staff were very helpful and accommodating, the beds were comfortable.
the towels were dirty, the pull out beds were dirty with stains and crumbs, and rags from the cleaning were left on the counter, some rooms just smelled bad.

It wasn't in aloud area
The staff was stuck up and rude, they never once came to give me towels or check on if we needed anything or try to clean the room even tho I had told them at check-in I would need all that done. It was sorta small and it took forever to even get the dishes and stuff from them. I ended up buying my own. Found a cockroach in my room. They didn't care

Nothing
Staff wasn't all that great kinda really rude, had attitudes for no reason, vending machines barely worked, the room wasn't even that good kinda to small

The room size & configuration is perfect for our needs. Room was clean, with bed & pillows being comfortable. Well located near the Oakland Airport, with quick access to freeway.
On check out, I requested a paid receipt but the front desk person said he couldn’t, because I booked through a 3rd party. This was a first, maybe due to some policy change since the last time we stayed.

The entire 3rd floor smelled like vomit.

Aside from the negatives, for travel and business you’re close to the airport and some food spots this place seems nice.
The pictures exceed the actual stay. The room we stayed in was slightly dirty. The bathroom door handle came off in my hand as I pulled the door closed. Thank god I had someone else in the room because I would have been stuck in the bathroom. Also there was barely any toilet paper on the roll, thank you for leaving an additional on the back of the toilet. There were “spaghetti” stains on the ceiling in the kitchen. The fridge had some left over spilled liquid in the door. There were also dirty hand prints and smudges on the tv and mirror on the wall. The windowsills were pretty dirty, understandable ish. The desk was dusty.
The non-smoking room/floor definitely smelled heavily of smoke in some of the rooms as I walked to my room. I had to go down to pick up my dishes, which is fine but maybe don’t advertise that they will be brought to my room.
I also did not liked being mocked by the 10-point clean standards poster in the elevator when they are definitely not kept up.

Nice big room. Good location
Not enough kitchen utensils so couldn't cook. Limited towels. Only allowed 3 and we needed enough for 4.

I enjoyed the air conditioning. It stayed cool in the room all day long.
The parking area could've been a little bit bigger. Had a hard time getting into my spot.
