Great value for money, for a stop off on my way to Devon from North Notts. Perfect! Staff in the restaurant were friendly, and the food was great - both for my evening meal, and the breakfast (which was included in the booking). I had tea and biscuits in the pod, and the shared bathroom was right next door. there was only one other pod using the bathroom, but it didn't look as though this was booked out. Only thing that was odd, but nice, was waking up to a wedding outside the door! different, but not an unpleasant experience. I'd highly recommend the Old Hall house glamping experience!
Nothing, it was fab!

Location no shops around but I liked the place but no buses around
The staff tell you if you don't have a reserved table you have to go to the outside bar to buy a drink

Clean, quiet, comfortable and quirky. Absolutely loved it.
We had room 6 with 4-poster bed, large wall mounted tv and a huge spa bath.
Cannot think of anything I really didn't like.

Location - we were going to NEC following day.
Price - good value for money especially as full English breakfast was free and very tasty!
The heater in the pod was extremely noisy but it was a very cold night so we kept it on as long as we could.
The lights were very bright.
There could be some hooks up and a shelf by the door so that not everything has to be kept on the floor.
The toilet door wouldn't close.

friendly staff , good location , ample parking
booked a pod for 1 night for a special occasion, got the keys , arrived at a dirty pod , bed made up from last visitor , full bin , dirty used coffee stained cups , contacted reception and the lovely lady apologised and gave us pod keys on the top field , when we got there , no electric , we phoned her up and she spoke to maintenance who said all the electricity was off in that area , we went back to reception and were given keys for a room in the house , this had no coffee cups or milk , linen and towels piled up over night outside of main entrance of the house which def would be classed as an obstruction and fire hazard

I have stayed at the Old Hall House on a semi-regular basis over the summer. The primary reason for travel is business. However, I choose to stay at Old Hall House due to the fact that it is a very relaxing place to stay. It would be more convenient for me to stay in Birmingham City Centre but I would miss out on the tranquility and comfort of Old Hall House. This week, the staff put me in the Old Hall itself, Room 105. The view over the front courtyard was lovely, as were the quirky period features. The bed was comfortable and large. The room and on-suite were spotless, as usual. The Quicken Tree staff delivered my meal to the room and the hall accommodated my service dog. Everything about my stay was wonderful. It allowed me to recover from the stress of the day and I was suitably refreshed to face another stressful day in the office.
It is not a dislike. More a heads up. This is an old building so be mindful that things are not square. If you're unsteady on your legs, you may have difficulty with the stairs, so I'd recommend a room on the ground floor. If you expect air conditioning or ceiling fans, think again. The windows open and you can request a fan when it is warm out. I bring my own fan because I have been a regular guest at the hotel for over 9 weeks. If the temperatures are warm out, request a fan before you check in. Those are my top tips.

This hotel is perfectly situated close to Birmingham, the NEC, and the airport. However, you would never know you were so close to them. Staying here is like staying at a country retreat. The facilities allow for socialisation, relaxation, or working. WiFi allows me to work remotely from the bar, restaurant, The Old Hall, or any of the glamping pods. The restaurant has great food and wonderful staff. The hotel staff are lovely to my service dog and recommend walks around the pond or through the woods. My dog loves her holidays at Old Hall House. I stay here because it's conveniently located but also because it is such a peaceful location. Occasionally, there are events like weddings or proms on site. The noise is managed well. Basically, if you are looking for a place that is close to the city but feels remote, the Old Hall House is perfect. The cooked breakfast is to die for and the staff will make you a bacon or sausage sandwich to go if you need to leave before breakfast is served. I highly recommend staying here!
It's not a dislike. More of a top tip. If it is warm out, request a fan for your room. The rooms and pods are wonderful but there is no AC and no ceiling fans, which during a heat wave can prove uncomfortable. I have been coming to Old Hall House regularly throughout the summer for work. I bring my own travel fan because I arrive late and checkout early. So, top tip: bring a fan or request one before checking in if it is going to be warm out.

I came late and was able to collect my key from the restaurant. So check in was simple, everywhere felt safe especially as I was travelling alone. But because it was next to the showground the area was quiet but not completely dead which was nice
Tiles in the shower room could’ve done with a bit of a scrub.

comfortable and friendly also excellent value
location but know that when I booked

The location was great for Coventry and it’s in a lovely rural setting.
The room was really small and the en-suite looked like it had been squeezed into a large cupboard. There was a folding door on the bathroom, much like you get on a wardrobe which afforded no privacy. One of the light fittings for the reading lamp didn’t work at all. The mattress was beyond firm and my partner ended up with a sore back. The sash and case window was loose in the frame and you could hear it banging all night long

Beautiful setting, cozy glamping pod, excellent bar/restaurant with its own wandering dog, fabulous food, friendly staff, free wifi, and breakfast included. Oh, and they accommodated my service dog nicely. What's not to love?
The only issue I had was difficulty turning down the heating in the glamping pod. But I turned it off and the pod stayed a comfy 20 degrees, rather the the toasty 24 degrees the previous occupant had set it at.

Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful
My dietary needs were well accommodated.
Office staff helped me book a taxi
Arrival out of hours worked as staff described
Staff were friendly and helpful
Bed was quite uncomfortable
Would be good if they had an easily accessible list of taxi firms
(Site - Associated restaurant has vegan mains but none or v limited appropriate starters and desserts)

Quiet location very peaceful, the fact breckfast was included. Great location.bed was comfortable. Heating warmed up the pot very quickly.pods are cute
The blinds on the pod door wasn’t there was woken up before 6am with light coming through, needs lights around the lake area. They need to say how much activities are as it doesn’t say anywhere.could do with just a little light in pods instead of big main light

i have stayed before and loved it since my fist visit
on the Friday night of my stay there was a wedding on and loud with a music and a lot of bass until around 12/1 in the morning so was difficult to sleep but other than that the stay was pleasant

Leaving to drive home. The one redeeming feature of our stay was the breakfast and the staff serving it. They were very pleasant and the breakfast was freshly cooked. There was plenty of well lit parking available.
The overall impression was of a run down holiday park, with bits and pieces everywhere. A couple of shepherds huts and pods placed beside the main house, several barn type buildings which were in fact the reception and restaurant. At 7pm on a Saturday evening there was no reception and we had to collect the keys from the restaurant/bar. We were told by the staff and on the room information that the restaurant was open until 9pm with the bar staying open later. when we returned to the bar at 9.30pm to get a glass of wine, we were told they were closed. 9.30pm on a Saturday night! The staff were quite rude and off hand. Our room was in the main house on the ground floor opposite the main door. This was a major problem as the people in the room above were constantly traipsing down the stairs, (the underside of which were in our room and very noisy) to then stand with the door open smoking. The smoke wafted directly into our room, for non smokers this was extremely unpleasant. The room was cold and the heating was obviously on a timer as it only came on the next morning. The sink in the bathroom was unusable as there was a glass shelf above and the sink was the size of a bird bath. To clean your teeth you had to try and turn your head sideways, squat and spit and hope you found the sink. There was rubbish in the bin in the bathroom from a previous guest. There were washrooms next to our room and guests presumably from the pods were in and out using them which was very noisy. All we needed was a nice comfortable bed, clean useable bathroom and peace in order to get a good nights sleep before continuing an extremely long journey. Unfortunately we didn’t get it.

What an amazing little hidden gem! Cracking breakfast too!

I liked the event I went to.
I was attacked in my room by the (apparent) daughter of the owner and 2 of her friends after she let herself into my room and I attempted to get them out. I had to call the police as I sustained injuries.
I have contacted the hotel asking for a full refund but I am being ignored.
