Pleasant sitting room and dining area. The garden would have been pleasant had the weather been less rainy.
The basic stocking of the kitchen could have been more comprehensive. A coffee machine or even a cafetiere would have been good. Sliding cupboard/wardrobe in bedroom did not move easily on the rails. Large table at the top of the stairs is far too large.

Parking was an issue but to be expected near the city centre

The location is really good. It's a quiet street but convenient for the quayside, city centre and local shops on Magdalen Road. Also close to main bus routes. Good value by Exeter standards
The property is a bit basic and pretty small. Could do with a few more utensils in the kitchen, ie a bread knife, washing up bowl and drainer. There's no light in the kitchen extension.

Clean and spacious a great little house.
There was quite a lot of noise from one of the neighbours late at night, could be upsetting for solo travellers or sleep disturbing for groups.

The property was fine but my expectations were higher based on the photos and it disappointed in real life.
The property was not very clean and needs some love and attention. Also on first arrival we noticed that the neighbour had some very strange messages facing outwards and covering his whole window. Quite scary and it was clear there was a very paranoid person living there. Then much later at about 23.30 the neighbour started screaming and shouting very aggressively. Using obscene and scary language and this carried on throughout the night. Needless to say we did not sleep very much. We did not do anything that night as it was late and we were worried we would aggravate the situation and make things worse. We were supposed to stay 2 days and nights but left the following morning as quickly as possible and had to book a hotel for our 2nd night. So far I have not received any compensation and the response from the owners has been limited and unhelpful. I am also waiting for a response from the Booking.com customer service.

Very central location and good property, very quiet street and house; patio garden a bonus
The streets around the house are a bit windy - it is central but you need to work things out a bit! A little more info on routes and nearby facilities would have been good

Location was good. House very clean and spacious. Very comfortable and well stocked in all areas.
Nothing really.

The property was spotlessly clean and well equipped. A great location for town centre and the Quay.

Great location, spacious, warm. Excellent communication from hosts. Toiletries and a bottle of Prosecco were a big surprise on arrival.
Parking, although to be fair I thought I'd ticked the parking box filter when booking, but I couldn't have as I've since checked and it isn't listed as a facility for this accommodation.
Also, the host provided a permit for the 'whole' day there during a 2 night stay so cannot complain. Just be warned the free parking at bottom and top of street are likely to be occupied during your stay.

Perfectly sized for us. Close to city centre to be able to walk to. Close to the event we were attending
It would have been nice if the owner had put the heating on for us knowing it was only March. The temperature was 12 degrees!!!! We had to contact the owner to find out how to work the thermostat and even then we had to blag it ourselves

Good location, cosy and well equipped.
If pillows matter, take your own.
Parking can take a bit of juggling. In our case it mattered more because I had my elderly father in tow and the road was closed just outside the house. The house is located on a steep hill.

Great location, 10 minute walk from canal and cathedral.
Lovely terraced house in a quiet area, well decorated and lovely and warm, weather was very cold.
One of the beds sunk in the middle and the sofa bed was extremely hard downstairs, I wouldn't of wanted to sleep on it for more than 2 nigjts.
Also there were 6 of us but only 4 dining table chairs and 4 outside seating chairs.
Only 1 tea towel and the bottle recycling box was overflowing.
All very easily remedied and only mentioned so hosts are aware.

P1/2
We’re four young women who were left locked out of our accommodation, in the middle of the night, in a city we’re not familiar with.
We returned to the property at approximately 2am after a night out. We put the key in the lock, but it wasn’t moving at all. Each of us tried it, with no further results. We attempted to call the owners multiple times with no answer. After trying the lock for over an hour, the key unfortunately snapped in the lock. We attempted to call booking.com, yet they gave us no assistance and couldn’t provide us with the names of any hotels in the area with space. Leaving us sat outside the property shivering.
After another hour of continuous attempted phone calls to the owners, we realised we were getting nowhere, so we walked about 10 minutes to a hotel. They unfortunately had no space, but were kind enough to call around to other hotels in the area. They provided us with hot drinks, as we were visibly shivering from being locked out in the cold for 2 hours, and lent us phone chargers, as we had all wasted our battery trying to get in contact with the owners and booking.com. They managed to find us one room, at a hotel 10 miles away. We arrived at that hotel at around 5am. We then had to pay for that hotel room (unexpected expense) , yet we had no necessities or belongings with us. We attempted to sleep but all struggled due to worrying about the situation.
After bombarding the owners phone to no avail for 8 hours, she arranged a locksmith for 10:30am. We then had to get a taxi from the hotel back to the property (another unexpected expense). The locksmith got the broken key out of the door, then tried the cleaners spare key. But surprise surprise, that didn’t work either. The saga ended in the locksmith drilling into the door to remove the whole lock mechanism, which left us standing out in the cold for around another hour.

Within this time, I received a message from booking.com informing me that ‘the owner wont be giving you a refund, because she’s paying for the locksmith instead’.
The owners are now solely blaming us despite the result being a complete change of lock. The locksmith said that the lock was just knackered, and we had no part to play in its breaking. If it didn't happen to us, it would have just happened to the next guests instead.Since, the owners have disregarded and ignored us. The only correspondence considered us lucky for not having to pay for the locksmith.
We are now an extra £300+ down because of taxis, hotel fees, and the house we paid for but couldn’t even enter. We are struggling to finance what was the inconsiderate and unresponsive owners neglect.
Overall, an unreliable place disguised by a pretty interior. Maybe prioritise a working lock, getting rid of bugs, and toilet roll before M&S coffee and 4 different types of tea.

Hosts provided parking permits and answered our questions helpfully.
The beds were comfortable, and the shower worked well. The location was good and the wifi worked well.
The only other thing I could suggest is a pint of milk in the fridge on arrival.

lovely location, nicely furnished and nice little garden. Easy walk to the quay and to the city centre.
a little snug for 6 - we booked for 6 although there was only 5 of us in the end.

Wish the beds were put together. I understand that this was required to be specified in advance but I do not think it is a hard thing to do quickly. Property also lacked some basic essentials which would have been useful: salt, pepper, olive oil etc.

Location
We were told property would be ready at 2pm as we asked this as a favour. When we got there the friendly cleaner told us we were to early. There was no toilet rolls so we had to use kitchen roll.

Really enjoyed our short stay, house really comfortable and well furnished - perfect for a family.
Hosts really responsive which was most appreciated.

The location and property was excellent.
We were lucky to get the parking slot free for two hours.
This really helped.
I would have appreciated more if the owner issued parking permits included in the charges as they are £5.00 only per day.

Location
Clean house
Fridge only started working on the second day of our stay
We were told to leave at 10.30 on 27th August. When we woke at 8am electricity and gas weren’t working. Couldn’t make coffee or make breakfast or even charge our phones.
Bed bugs( added photo proof below)

Lovely little house we used as a base to explore south devon. Perfect garden to accommodate the dog, the bathroom and kitchen were clean and tidy
The wardrobe doors and chest of drawers on the landing were broken and hard to use and generally the bedrooms and carpets could do with upgrading in the near future
2.5 / 5.0
Good location. Nice little garden. Good hot water for showers.
Ridiculous system of having to accept 8 page terms and conditions and produce evidence of identity by sending passport photo and credit card photo. Host was not helpful when asked to resend link for above. We spent an hour looking through all the many emails sent looking for one word that was the link.
We requested our bed format when asked by the host but very disappointing not to get it. We asked for a double and a twin room as we were a couple and one single but we were given both rooms as twins. The master bedroom only had one single bed made up so we had to change the sheet and push the beds together.
The bedsides lights appeared faulty as they do not turn on and off, only dimmed - a mystery. The fittings in the bedrooms were shoddy, everything you touched was about to fall off the wall. No wardrobes in the second room so if you hung your coat on the hook it pulled the hook out of the plaster!! Only one double socket for the whole room in both upstairs rooms and no shaver point in the bathroom.
The front door is a major security issue as it is extremely difficult to shut, unless you slam it from about a foot! As we arrived at midnight it must have pleased the neighbours. The door needs attention so you can shut it safely.
The photos were not true to reality as they had used a very good wide angle lens making the property and garden look much bigger than it actually is. It would be very crowded with 6 people as only one toilet in the only bathroom.

Fabulous location with everything you would need at the property.
The bathroom needs a blind at the window
