Nice, clean house in a good, walkable neighborhood.
It's a less than 5-minute walk to Whole Foods, a 10-minute walk to the (slightly less pricey) Giant grocery store, and a 15-minute walk to Union Station to catch the metro.
H Street is a bit sketchy in parts and so we spent no time there except to get groceries.
The three bedrooms, all on the second floor, served us well and had comfortable beds (with comfortable mattresses and nice bedding). The description says "sleeps 8" but "sleeps 6" is more accurate and realistic.
My sole criticism: the property description says there is a "hot tub," which there is not. There are jacuzzi features on the bathroom bathtubs, but that's as close as it gets. For the sake of being truthful and transparent, I suggest you eliminate "hot tub" from the property description. It's the first thing people see under "popular amenities" on the property's landing page, which is false and misleading.
Other minor (but hopefully helpful) criticisms: there were loose floor tiles in the kitchen and master bathroom that require repair, and there was no cookie sheet.
The high quality coffee beans, toilet paper, and shampoo/conditioner/soaps were appreciated.
Overall, we had a very positive, memorable week in DC and the house served our family very well.

Great place to stay to visit DC. Easy in and out of the city and close to Union Station and restaurants so getting around DC is easy. Nice, safe Neighborhood.

We were more than satisfied with this location. The place was clean, well-stocked, in a quiet neighborhood and close to all the downtown happenings. Correspondence with the owner and his assistant was easy and their responses were quick. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for three days. Our family, ages 7 to 85, thoroughly enjoyed living in this home. It is as described: comfortable and thoughtfully furnished, very clean, well located, everything worked, and management contacts were easy. We highly recommend this property.

This was an awesome place for our family of 5 to stay to get the total DC experience. A really great historic house, clean and well appointed, in a very nice historic neighborhood so very close to all the sights. The neighborhood was very safe feeling and you can drive, walk, ride the bus, or walk to Union Station to get to whatever you want to really easy. We had a great family vacation with 4 adults and one teenager. The house was exactly as shown in the pictures. We would definitely stay here again. The only challenge was parking my F150 but we managed to “squeeze” into a spot every day. Stay here and you won’t regret it.

We loved the neighbors and the neighborhood! We especially loved the park across the street and watching the kids play basketball, soccer and softball on our down time. Thank you, thank you you made our road trip much more enjoyable!

The house is adorable and nicely stocked. The stairs may be a concern for some. I’m 78 and didn’t have a problem. There is a hide a bed downstairs if necessary. The hosts are wonderful and very accommodating. Love this place

The house is located in a great neighborhood, close to shopping, a coffee house, and the Capitol. The house had plenty of room, was immaculate and well-cared for. The owner was very responsive and communicated with us regularly.
There was a nice sitting area outside in the back and very little street noise. The beds were comfortable and the house was well-stocked with plenty of toiletries and cooking utensils. Free parking was provided out-front with plenty of spaces available. I would highly recommend this property! If I travel to DC again, I will most certainly be booking this property.

Clean, well appointed, lovely home in a really fun neighborhood that is both peaceful and has lots of things in walking distance. Perfect place to meet my college age son and his friend for a weekend visit. We will be very happy to stay here again.

It was the perfect place for our family including a 2 year old and 4 year old to stay. Communications with the host were great! Always got a response in a timely manner. The house was very clean and the amenities were excellent. The kids loved the park across the street. H street was so close and convenient for grocery shopping. Its proximity to Union Station was a plus as part of our group arrived by train. Also, street parking was always available. We would certainly stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at this wonderful VBRO in Washington DC this past week. The condo was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked even with whole coffee beans and a coffee grinder. It was stocked with decaf coffee grounds, spices, sugar, honey, hot tea and cocoa. We came in late in a snowy night and it was nice to have those items. The steps were shoveled during the snow storm. Condo is well located within two blocks of Whole Foods and cvs and electric trolley to union station. Could not have been more pleased. Lu, the owner was very accessible.
We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice property. Clean, plenty of space and great location. Beds were comfortable. Nicely appointed furniture and kitchen. Across the street from a school with a great playground that gathers families when school is not in session. About 5-8 minutes from union station for metro.

Overall, this was the perfect place for the 6 of us to stay over a long weekend! It was close to Union Station, so getting around DC was easy. The Union Market area is nearby for great shopping/food/etc. The house itself was just like the photos, maybe even better. Sometimes pictures make a place look nicer/bigger, but we were in awe of the space, which had everything we needed. Beds were comfy, kitchen supplies were abundant, and they even were stocked with complimentary coffee and bathroom shampoo/conditioner/body wash. If I have family or friends in town again, this place would be at the top of my list.

The property was centrally located by many restaurants and a Whole Foods. It was clean and comfortable. The kitchen is wonderful.

5 adults and a toddler were very comfortable for a week. Cooking facilities were sufficient with pots, pans, and dishes. Towels and linens were adequate. Washer and dryer were fine but very slow. Dish washer is old and could use updating. Host bought a new coffee grinder for us and supplied whole bean coffee, which was greatly appreciated.

We picked this place because the location seemed to be what we wanted and we were right. It was very close to grocery stores, restaurants and the Capital Building. We were able to Uber easily when we wanted to and walk the other times as well. The house was set up well and was perfect for the Family to stay in. The neighborhood was nice and peaceful. The owner was very attentive and in constant communication to make sure we had everything we needed.

What a great house! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our visit to DC. The location can’t be beat! 2 blocks from Whole Foods and Starbucks. A 10-15 minute leisurely walk to Union Station, The Capitol Building or The Supreme Court.
There were 5 metro cards left behind from previous guests. We purchased one more, as a family of 6, to leave behind for future guest use as well.
The house was very clean and in a quiet neighborhood. The house also has a wonderful book collection. There were travel books about DC and maps as well as a variety of novels for guests to enjoy.
On our next trip to DC we will book this same house!!! The kids were so sad to leave, as were the adults.

We had a very nice stay. The unit was mostly clean. The rugs and carpets need a good scrub. We couldn’t get the master bedroom Tv to work. There were a few little maintenance jobs needed and the towels shed and were so non-absorbent I felt more wet after using them! Lol. But, it worked great for us. Nice proximity to Whole Foods and restaurants.

This was a great townhouse for our family and the location is perfect. Truly
lovely neighborhood, easy walk to Metro (Union Station) and the Capitol. Needs a bit more polish and upkeep around the edges (washing machine doesnt work properly, blood stain on linen, broken towel bar, under cabinet lights in kitchen do not work, broken handle on kitchen cupboard). I would recommend having placemats and kleenex for guests. But still good experience overall and would recommend.

We absolutely loved this home! There is plenty of space (we were 4 adults; my husband and I in our 30’s and my parents in their 60’s), and the area of town is perfect. It’s a short walk to a few food/coffee options, as well as a Whole Foods grocery store and a CVS. We took advantage of the home being close to Union Depot so we could utilize the DC Circulator bus. We are happy we decided against renting a car, as the street parking in the historic district is tight. We felt it was not necessary with the location of this home.
Everything was clean, spacious, quiet and overall lovely. The home has everything you could need for an extended stay. We had no issues while staying here and would recommend this home for your DC travels. It’s a very easy check-in, check-out system. The neighborhood itself feels very safe. We cannot wait to come back someday!

This property was the perfect size for our family. Me, my son and his fiancé, and my sister-in-law. The location was excellent; we walked each day to Union Station to board the metro wherever we wanted to go. Easy walk to Whole Foods, where we shopped for breakfast and evening snack groceries. 2nd bathroom could use some updates. Already alerted the owner

We had such a lovely stay! It was just the right size for our family (my husband and I, teenage son and my mom). The house was comfortable (especially the beds), the kitchen had everything that we needed. So comfortable that my mom decided to take a day off of sightseeing and just relax at the house:) I really appreciated the closeness to Union Station (7-10 minute walk) and that there were already Metro cards at the property. It was a good reminder that transit was nearby. Two groceries stores within walking distance (Giant and Whole Foods), multiple local coffee shops, and restaurants made it an easy place to stay. It was so nice to come home to a neighborhood after being tourists all day. Lu was so nice and such a great communicator. Thank you for making our trip comfortable and easy:)

Fantastic and well kept row house in a great neighborhood. Two blocks walk to bustling H corridor, with grocery stores, restaurants, shops. A few more blocks to union station and metro. Thoughtful touches, including metro cards, current magazines, and Aveda products in the bath. Comfy beds and cable access, and a quickly responsive owner. Would absolutely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this house. It was perfect for our family trip to DC. The location is great. A nice neighborhood with short walk to groceries and public transportation. The house is beautiful, clean, and well stocked.

Fantastic location with access to local restaurants and all the tourist activities in DC. The rental had great space. It could use some enhanced maintenance (light bulbs) and general upkeep (loose tile in the bathrooms and kitchen) and general cleanliness.

The house was perfect for the two of us, plus our 2 teenager sons. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Just a short walk to groceries and restaurants. The house was clean, beautiful and comfortable to come back to after a long day of sightseeing! Some nights we just sat in the porch rockers with a glass of wine and relaxed. I highly recommend this property and cannot thank our host enough!

Easy to walk to union station but we never took public transport. Used uber or walked. So close to Capitol building. Nice neighborhood. But listing disappeared from VRBO. Very strange. We couldn’t see details leading up to our stay.

Lu and his assistant are fabulous to work with! The home is so very well appointed. The truth is in the details, extremely soft throw blanket, Aveda bath products, etc. The neighborhood is friendly, there is a CVS, Whole Foods and many restaurants within walking distance, including Union Station. Scooters are plentiful and make the trip to the Mall, Capitol, and even the Lincoln Memorial, fun to get to. As a Grandma bringing her 4 grandchildren (ages 10 - 17) to see their Great-Grandpa's Arlington resting place, I was probably a bit of a drama queen with Lu. But one phone call and he made me realize what a great time everyone will have. And we did. I will definitely book this home again. Patricia
