It was close to all the amenities and easy to find .
Everything we needed was right there .Will definitely go back
4.5
Very cozy and clean apartment. Everything you could possibly need, is there. The only thing missing (or, at least, we couldn't find) was a drying rack. There is a washing machine, but no place to dry your clothes! So we didn't use the washing machine.
On the front side of the house, the road is very busy and there is a loud bar right across the front door, on the other side of the street. But since Nelly's Nook is on the back side of the building, you hardly hear anything, which is perfect. Nice view of the surrounding hills.
Matlock itself is a nice town for a short stay and a perfect location if you want to visit Chatsworth House (which we did).
We were lucky to park our car each day on the Olde English Road parking location, which is on the backside of the building and a 1-minute walk. It does cost 6 pounds a day, but we were okay with that.
It's three stairs up to the apartment and no elevator.
Also, having to leave the apartment at 10.00 o'clock on the day of your departure is rather early.

Apartment is extremely cosy and in a great location. Everything is within walking distance. Was nice and warm inside. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need. Sofa and bed were nice and comfy. Great communication from Finest Retreats and they were very friendly when helping solve any problems or questions we had. Everything we expected and would highly recommend!
Floor wasn’t as clean as I’d have liked, some old food was on the floor and needed to be hoovered up.

Fantastic location, ideal for a city break stop off.
The property was very clean and as described really can't fault it. Little smaller than we are used to but as it was just somewhere for us to relax and sleep it was fit for purpose.

Central location, nice clean appartment
Bed space a little small with sloping ceiling
4.5
clean, well kept and well located
4.0
excellent location and spotlessly clean
I asked questions about items included in the kitchen and the response back from Finest Retreats was inaccurate which was extremely frustrating. When acting on behalf of the property, they need to contact the owner to get accurate information. It has put me off using Finest Retreats again.

Great central location and being at the back of the property meant less noise from local bars. The apartment is tiny (the smallest shower room ever, although the corner shower is quite spacious, and half the bed is under a sloping ceiling) but very cosy for one person. Matlock is perfect for walking in the hills, and public transport links along the Derwent Valley are good. The bus to Derby stops right outside the front door.
The apartment is nicely furnished and everything works, but some tea bags and a jar of coffee in the kitchen would be a nice touch. Some listings say there's a dishwasher, but there isn't one. Rather small thin towels and two rolls of budget toilet paper seemed a bit mean.

very clean, all mod cons , great location
the bed was comfortable but as it is an attic squashed in, the towels could do with updating

I thought the location was fine. We had trouble finding the front door as not all of the shops are numbered. We think it would be easier if you mentioned the door was next to the title of the shop next door aswell as the number. We had to drive up and down the main road a few times. Other than that it was great.
nothing.

great position in the centre,

We could not get the Internet to work. It was showing up that there was a fault. We did not bother too much about this because we had adequate cell phone access.
The nature of the property meant that the bed headroom was restricted on one side.

Flat is clean with all things you need for a short stay - washing machine, iron, cooker, microwave, kettle, shower, wardrobe, sitting furniture. Towels, bed duvet cover and under sheets replaced.
Fiddly to enter because front door key has to be withdrawn slightly. Summer sun shines through bedroom window blind waking you up too early. A black-out blind is needed.

brilliant location. Bonus with having a parking pass. Good short stay accommodation.
The key lock was hard to engage to get the keys. The locks on the door were difficult as well. Difficult getting the keys to turn.

Great location, a few minutes walk from the train station and a short drive from other towns like Bakewell and Chesterfield. There were some nice walks around the town. The apartment was clean and welcoming and had what we needed to be comfortable for the week.
The apartment was fairly small so was difficult getting ready in the morning in the bedroom doing hair/make up. The water kept running out of the showers door when showering. There weren't any extra bin bags/sponges for cleaning.

Location was perfect and the kitchen was well equipped.
Perfect for walks as well
The apartment seemed slightly smaller than what we thought the photos had demonstrated and for the price we paid. Nevertheless there was still room.
2.5
Nice sofa area to watch tv and well equipped kitchen bar
A lot of stairs to access property
View from property poor
Very small double bed with no bedside table or lamp
In hot weather a fan would have been nice
Bathroom cramped but adequate but little hot water so be prepared for Luke warm showers.
Very functional but lacks any personal touches

Beds very comfy. Very clean and tidy lovely apartment will recommend to family and friends
