Peaceful and tranquility in prime accommodation

The property was in an idyllic location,close to amenities and also in a beautiful spot.the property was spotless and everything you required was at hand

Lovely cottage for two in a perfect location.

Really nice cottage with excellent facilities - the bed, the shower and the sofa were all wonderful and everything was lovely and clean. Great location near a park, the river and a pub with lovely food. Really handy to have a parking space outside the front and a little private courtyard at the back of the property. Nice to find toiletries in the bathroom and tea/coffee in the kitchen. Nice communication with a helpful host. We will definitely stay here again!

Enjoyable stay close to some lovely places

The only negative thing was the tight parking which was certainly not the fault of the owner. I managed to park elsewhere

Pleasant little cottage in lovely town

Excellent location

No hot water first night and didn’t enjoy crawling on hands and knees under instruction from owner to fix boiler. He might have offered a few pounds off in compensation. Also had to fix TV. All this took the edge off at the start!

Great location, with everything you need.

it’s in a perfect location for everything in Matlock, short walk to the town and 20 minutes away from Matlock bath. The cottage is a great size and has everything you need wether you’re staying a weekend or longer.

Nothing to comment on, we had a great stay.

A lovely cosy cottage - I’d recommend

It is a lovely cute cottage in a great location. Perfect for a couple. The bedroom was a good size and easily accommodated our two suitcases with plenty of extra room to walk around. Only a short walk to Matlock town centre. Matlock itself was ideally situated for the activities we had planned in the Peaks/Dales. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we needed. I especially loved the shower, bath and very comfy bed. I just wish we could have stayed for longer!

Minor thing but I really dislike leather sofas. I understand why they are useful in rented properties though, especially dog friendly ones. As other reviewers mentioned the parking space was very tight. We got used to it though so it wasn’t a big enough issue to knock a point off.

Exceptional

Blue Sky Cottage was lovely. Decorated to a high standard and everything you might need was there. The fairly central location meant that we could walk into Matlock through a park which was a lovely place to be when the trees were turning colour. Would highly recommend.

Location great for our intended trips plus town’s facilities were in walking distance

Needed to be informed about the correct parking space which was actually a small garden area so we parked in a neighbour’s area by mistake but he informed us about the correct space to use, nice man and friendly. Once in the cottage and having read the owner’s guide book the space was confirmed/described. I should have asked by email beforehand really.

The town was lovely with lots of friendly locals. Ideal location with plenty of places to visit within a short distance.

The cottage was beautiful and in a lovely location. It was very clean and well equipped with everything needed for a short break away.

There was nothing to dislike about the property.

The cleaning, all doors were dirty so was the skirting boards .Bin in kitchen was dirty and rusty and kitchen floor needed a good scrub and outside space needed a good brush.

Perfect location has everything you would need, had a lovely stay some fantastic days out.

Wifi didn't work did smell of damp and dog even tho it was clean. Outdoor space could do with a little tlc

Blue Sky Cottage

Fantastic free standing bath and a big walk in shower, lovely electric reclining sofa and Netflix was a nice touch!

A dehumidifier on the kitchen wall was constantly on and a bit noisy and the cottage is on a main thoroughfare so there is a constant stream of people passing right outside the windows day and night.

Lovely short stay.

Blue Sky cottage was in an excellent location, close to the park & an easy walk to Matlock Bath, shops, restaurants & pubs.

The outside space wasn't as big as expected.

Lovely cottage

Great little cottage...lovely bathroom and comfy bed. Front lock takes abit of wiggling but you get used to you. Location was great for train station and town. Would stay again😁

Absolutely super

Blue Sky Cottage is a little stone two-up-two-down with the back bedroom converted into a spacious bathroom (with free-standing bath and a great shower). It's all tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The kitchen has absolutely everything you need, the wifi works great and there's a good telly. All within easy walking distance of the town centre across Hall Leys Park, with the river just yards away.

There's no garden, just a few square feet of yard out the back. But you're right next door to a park, so why would you need a garden? The stairs are a bit steep so you need to be fine with that. Also, getting the keys back into the key safe is really, really fiddly as there's no hook. That may seem nitpicking but it's literally the only negative thing to say about this delightful cottage.

Fantastic!

Amazing place, great location, quiet, comfortable. The owner is a top man, he's been excellent to deal with throughout and gone above and beyond to make the stay perfec. 100% recommended, I'd give 20/10 if I could. Thanks a million!

Very good

Location very good; handy for local walks. We stayed in October and the cottage was very cosy. The bathroom was lovely and large.
