We recently stayed at this charming historical property and it definitely lived up to our expectations. The kitchen was well equipped, though we didn't cook since we wanted to enjoy the seafood at City Dock. The linens were high quality, and the whole place was very clean. The beds and couches were super comfortable. It also has central air and plenty of fans, which kept us cool and comfortable. Parking was easy to find right across the street, conveniently located in front of the Naval Academy. The house itself is a beautifully restored piece of Annapolis history, with a distinctive yellow entry door. Sean, the owner, was responsive, kind, and accommodating. Everything you need in Annapolis is within an easy walk, making this an excellent choice if you are looking to experience Historic Downtown Annapolis.

The Circa 1885 apartment is truly a little gem in Annapolis. A friend and I stayed for two nights and found the accommodations met our needs 100% perfectly. Super clean, super comfortable (even during a hot June week), fantastic location, charming decor, and a great host added up to an amazing experience. Sean was wonderful to work with, answered all my questions promptly, and provided all the information we needed for the rental property and the surrounding area. He and his wife have done a beautiful job restoring the apartment and the front door is only a five-minute walk from all the shops, restaurants, historical buildings, and waterfront views of Annapolis. The ability to park on the street using the host provided parking pass is a great perk and was much appreciated. I highly recommend this property for an enjoyable stay in Annapolis!

This historic get-a-way is incredile in so many ways...super clean with incredible high end features. Couldn't be any closer to USNA Gate 1...pop into DTA for a drink, meal or just walk around the waterfront. Can't wait to come back!

My third time at this cozy and super-perfect USNA location! Sean is very communicative and responsive. Sad that this is likely our last stay as our Midshipman will Commission in a matter of months! Cannot recommend this more!

We had an amazing weekend!
Location was perfect! We walked to fun events going on at City Dock, ate at delicious restaurants, shopped at a variety of boutiques and specialty stores, and just enjoyed everything Annapolis has to offer downtown. We enjoyed the Christmas Market, Boat Parade, and carolers, all only just a few blocks from our front door.
The property was beautiful! Clean, full of charm, and had everything we needed. Decorated for the holidays with wonderful personal touches like a lovely bottle of wine and drinks in the refrigerator. Our gracious host Sean was absolutely wonderful and not only accommodated us with everything we needed, but checked in with us throughout our stay.
We will definitely be back!

Sean was an excellent host...starting with his clear communication in the days leading up to our stay. The property was very clean, nicely appointed, and very comfortable. We were visiting our Midshipman at the Naval Academy and the location was superb for access to Gate 1 (public gate) and an easy walk to Downtown. Parking was super simple with our rental car when coordinated with Sean; we never lacked for a close space either on Randall St. or King George St. We hope to stay again. Highly recommended.

This property is well-appointed, the furnishings are lovely and it is in a convenient location for the Naval Academy and all that Annapolis offers. The owner, Sean, was very responsive in addressing any concerns. We enjoyed our stay to celebrate my husband’s 50th reunion at the academy and will book again if we are in the area.

This property is an absolute gem! It checks all the blocks as the perfect place to stay when visiting Annapolis. The owners take great pride in their property as displayed by the immaculate and precise presentation of each room, so much so, that it does not feel like a rental when you enter. The owners were great to work with during the process, answering questions and providing any information needed to best plan our stay. They even texted several hours afrer check-in to ensure all was good or anything needed, and then again each day. This was the best VRBO experience we have ever had, and are already making plans to stay here again!

Great place to stay!
Location is perfect to everything - Naval Academy entrance across the street, two blocks from the downtown restaurants and ego alley. Great spot for 4 guests. Six might be a bit cramptas there is only one bathroom.
Sean has every amenity you need. Hair dryer, iron and board, starch, wine opener, wine glasses, etc.
Sean is incredibly responsive and even checked in every day to ensure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.
Thanks Sean!!

Had a great long weekend in Annapolis at Circa 1885, traveling with my partner and parents. Rooms were comfortable, apartment was spotless and well appointed, and location was prime. Short-walking distance (2 blocks down Randall) to the main part of downtown, and across the street from the Naval Academy, where we took a tour and checked out the museum. Perfect location for me (pregnant) and my parents (70s) to pop in for a quick rest here and there in between our various walking explorations or meals, as its literally next to everything. Parking was easy nearby, and even though on a fairly busy corner, we weren't kept awake or bothered at all by the street noise. Would 100% stay again and highly recommend! (Also, clawfoot tub is awesome and waterfall showerhead was clutch)

Love the historic and local feel to the home. If location is everything, then this home wins the prize! Shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Also walking distance to the harbor.

We had wonderful stay at Sean’s apartment. The location could not be better as it is across from the USNA main gate and a short walk to DTA.
The apartment was very clean, nicely decorated and well equipped, ideal for 4 people. Sean was very helpful, friendly, and checked in with us several times.
We have recommended this apt. to other Academy families and will stay again if the opportunity arises.

We were so pleased with the location first. It was just what we needed.
We were in Annapolis fir I-Day, so the location was perfect as were were right near the gate we needed to use to get onto the yard. It was also very close to restaurants and tours, all were a short walk. The property itself was so clean and decorated in such a smart way. We loved the space and amenities. We thought parking might be an issue since the main parking structure had been torn down, but it was not an issue for us. We found close parking every time we needed the car. We only used the car once in our five days because our needs were all within walking distance. The location also welcomed us with a bottle of wine, snacks, and coffee. We really appreciated that extra touch. The owners were very accessible to us and we felt we could reach out easily. The beds and furniture were very comfortable and the house was always at a comfortable temperature. We also had the ability to control the climate if need be, we never had to make adjustments, but it was great to have the option. We would definitely go back as it is a great place to stay when visiting our midi in the future. It’s also a great place if you just want a place to visit Annapolis independent of the Naval Academy. There were so many restaurants and bars as well as yummy ice cream places. The history alone is another reason to visit. We highly recommend this location!

Sisters getaway - great location, sparkling, amazing owner
This vacation rental was just what we needed. Separate space for sisters to spread out but lovely (and fully loaded) kitchen for lazy breakfasts and great hangout living room for well overdue chats. Also minutes to several bars and restaurants. Was also a15 walk to Eastport where we tried float therapy and lucked out with a fresh catch joint opening early due to the amazing weather. Parked the second car at the Calvert Street Garage that is about 10 minute walk away and free after 6pm Friday through the entire weekend. Great WiFi that supported a bit of work and Teams meetings before turning toward the fun of beers and crab cakes at Dock Steet.
The pictures do not do this place justice. Every turn revealed a perfect touch, like umbrellas at the entry along with snacks and drinks at the ready, and it was absolutely sparkling clean. I didn't want to mess up the perfection, but instantly felt comfortable enough to do so.
Be in the action of Historic Annapolis and rent this place. I know we will again!! Maybe we'll even let the spouses come along next time.

It's perfect.
The location is excellent--with the most iconic Annapolis view from the living room. The place is super comfortable and well stocked--the kitchen, the bathroom, the beddings and towels--are all of great quality yet usable. You don't feel scared of using anything in the place; you feel it's there for you to use and enjoy. It's welcoming in that way.
And Sean? L-o-v-e-l-y! Such a gracious host. He genuinely wants to make sure everything is perfect for the guests.
You really cannot ask for a better (a) place, (b) location, (c) setting, and (d) host!
I wish I could have assigned this place six stars.
