If you round the corner, or enter through the garage, there are 3 oversized lockers that allow you to hang your coats. The front hallway goes past the stairs to the lower level, and if you turn left you will find the laundry room and access to the back patio and grill. The laundry room has a sink and full sized washer and dryer for your stay.
There is also a powder room off the main hallway and past the powder room is the master suite.
Living Area:
Enter the main living area and you’ll immediately notice:
• The stunning kitchen flowing into dining room and living space
• The amazing view out a wall of glass
You will feel that you are in a glass treehouse looking out to the beautiful tress that fill the property. The living room has a wood burning fireplace and seating for your whole party. We do ask that you do not use the fireplace for stays less than 10 days. If you would like to use the fireplace for a shorter stay, there may be additional fees. Please let us know when you make your reservation.
Above the fireplace is a TV hidden behind a steel ribbon. The dining room table, which seats 10, is adjacent to the living space and adjacent to the kitchen for easy food and drink service. A Sonos sound system fills the entire space with music to entertain with and to relax.
Kitchen/Dining Area:
The kitchen and dining room are attached to the living room so that you can visit with each other at all times. Don’t worry parents, there is a downstairs den to send the kiddos ;). The kitchen has all appliances you might need. There is a Bosch oven and induction range (no flame – no mess!). The island in the kitchen provides huge prep space and the tuck away bar allows for discrete storage. There is a wine fridge and beer fridge under the tuck away bar cabinet. The kitchen also has solar tubes which bring in wonderful sunlight throughout the day.
Main Porch:
Off the living room is the main porch. This screened in porch is amazing for hanging out. The Sonos system is connected there and the breeze that blows down the mountain keeps it very comfortable even on the hottest day.
Bedrooms:
The master bedroom is on the main floor at the end of the hallway. It has a king sized bed and its own, private porch. The two walk in closets provide plenty of storage and the master bath provides its own special retreat.
Upstairs are 4 bedrooms. The first has a king sized bed and a twin daybed with another twin pullout below. This room has an en suite bathroom. Down the hallway are two bedrooms, one of which has a king sized bed and one of which has a queen sized bed. These two bedrooms share a jack and jill full bath. The last bedroom on this floor has 2 full sized bunk beds (4 beds total) as well as bean bag seats and a gaming system for the kids. This bedroom shares the jack and jill bathroom but you must enter the bathroom through one of the other bedrooms.
The bottom floor has a queen bedroom with its own full bath that also doubles as the bathroom for the lower level common area.
Lower Level:
The lower level living space includes a pool table and 70 inch tv for hangout time. You can also exit this level into the yard for outside time.
Some notes:
• For stays less than 10 days, we ask that you do not use the fireplaces. If you want to use them, we ask that you note it in your reservation request as we have an additional cleaning fee for the wood fireplaces.

• All inside TVs have DirectTV. The main porch TV has roku. Sonos systems are throughout the main floor and porch, as well as outside the lower level.

• Wifi is available throughout the house
• For the safety of all of our guests, we do have exterior video cameras on the home and property. There are no cameras inside the house of course.

My family of 14 enjoyed our stavery isolatedy. Home is beautiful and true to listing pictures!!! The 3 floors gave us plenty of space. Kitchen is well equipped. Teenagers enjoyed the pool table and corn hole boards. Screened in porch was a delight and we spent much time there. As stated in listing, the home is very isolated and road is narrow but paved the whole way.

This is an absolutely amazing, peaceful, private, retreat. The home is so beautifully renovated and kept up. Everything was as advertised and better. So many amazing amenities on hand from the kitchen to everyday needs.
We truly enjoyed our wedding week having this as a home base and getting to show off the area to our friends from afar. We wanted another few weeks just to enjoy the home and it’s peacefulness.
Thank you for a great experience!

Just a lovely home! My sisters, cousins and I have been getting together every summer for 30+ years and this is the best house yet. Great for a large group with plenty of comfortable seating and open floor plan. And the kitchen....oh, the kitchen - just a joy to cook in with everything you need - even a martini shaker (thank you). And so close to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Perfect getaway!

The house is as beautiful and modern as the pictures show. And the location is secluded--tucked into the woods. Very unique and wonderful.

Completely secluded, super modern, amazing house and property! Couldn't of been a better stay! About 25 min from downtown Asheville. Don't pass it up

Our family had a wonderful time. The listing does not give this home justice. This home exceeded our expectations. We were a group of grandparents, parents and grandchildren the location was spacious, quiet and well supplied. Will stay again.

Amazing stay! The house is chic and it definitely fit the occasion. It’s fully stocked with quality products and appliances. The fireplace created an extra ambiance. Everything we needed was provided and then some! Kudos to the host! Super responsive and kind. I will definitely go back. Trust and believe the last mile to the house is real, it’s steep, narrow and winding. Once you arrive you will forget all about that! Enjoy and thank you.

The house was great and the kitchen was fabulous for large family gatherings.

The house was beautiful and easily accommodated our group of 13. Only downside we encountered was not being able to get an Uber or Lyft to pick us up from the home and take into Asheville but other than that we had a wonderful trip.

The rental was incredible tucked back in the woods. Everything was clean and as advertised. The only item I wish we had were more descriptions of the surrounding trails and such.

One of the best houses we have stayed at. 13 of us, with plenty of room. Everything you could wa r in the kitchen with beautiful views. Multiple hang out spaces. Screened in porch. Short drive to Asheville and Chimney Rock.

We planned a weekend getaway for our youngest sister who is getting married! We had 13 ladies and we had plenty of space! The pictures do not do the house justice. It feels like you are in a "grown-up" tree house! Everything is beautifully laid out and decorated. The driveway/road can be a little tricky, when they tell you to go slow...go slow! There is a grocery store and Dollar General right down from the house if you need to do a grocery run. We all would highly recommend this home for your next trip!

Had a small weekend get-together here with friends and this place was incredible. Clean, spacious, with plenty of seating and a great central location to access both Asheville and sights like Lake Lure & Chimney Rock

Mountain House
Online information was partially accurate. Internet access was spotty; many small repairs needed in the house. Routine maintenance seems to have been overlooked.

Treehouse Tranquility
My wife and I wanted to enjoy a week around Asheville and don't believe we could have chosen a better place. The home is remote and very peaceful. Its design makes you feel like you're in a tree house, which came in handy with the amount of rain we had keeping us indoors (or out on the covered screened in porch).
The home is well equipped, tastefully decorated, and communication with the property manager is very good.
As mentioned in other reviews, the 2 mile road to the home (especially the last mile) is extremely twisty and narrow. It may not be for everyone. We didn't mind it, but it's worth noting.
Another item worth noting is the use of security cameras. I've stayed in many VRBO and similar rental homes where the owners wish to protect the property with some additional security. And, this is to be expected. Typically, I'll see security cameras at the entry of the driveway and/or monitoring the main entry. My only complain here is the extent of exterior coverage. There is one camera monitoring the main driveway (again, typical and expected) but it appears to have a good look onto the screened in covered porch (which is one of our favorite areas of the home). There is also one at the back door over the grilling area and two overlooking the fire pit area. I can't fault any owner looking to add a layer of protection to their home. But, to the extent that nearly any outdoor activities would feel like we're being watched, it was less than ideal for us.
Because of that, we didn't enjoy the fire pit and outdoor grill. That said, we didn't rent this home to explore the outdoors at the home, we rented it to explore the outdoors around Asheville and Lake Lure. Of that, we did! Most importantly, this would also not prohibit us from renting the home again.
We enjoyed it and the location that much.

Terrific
The place is really well furnished for a large group. We had 16, including 10 adults, and we had plenty of room for everyone. Plenty of towels, dishware, etc. We cooked pretty much every night, and we didn't lack for anything. The pantry even has what I assume to be left over spices, oils, and other cooking supplies from prior guests, so we didn't have to buy a bunch of that stuff. The house is tucked up into the neighborhood, at the end of a long, sometimes-steep, single-lane road, but driving 10mph it never felt like it was unsafe. We had 5 cars with plenty of space for parking. There is a little creek down the road that the kids played in a few times, but otherwise there is not great outdoor space, and if there are trails near the house, we didn't see them. But considering the Blue Ridge Parkway and so many other great areas are around, we didn't look too hard for trails right around the house.

Great getaway/family reunion in Asheville area
Beautiful and modern home. Spacious and open first floor. Nice kitchen and great spaces to socialize for a group. We had 14 people in the home---three generations of family members throughout the house. Really lovely, modern design. Master suite on first floor is huge. Nice bedrooms upstairs plus one in basement. House is very secluded---long and winding drive up a one lane road (confident drivers needed). 25 minutes from Asheville, close to lots of nature. House manager was very responsive (we had an issue with the refrigerator--- make sure it's take care of).

Great modern house with all amenities
This house is just as presented online. The home is very well equipped and stocked, from coffee, tea and fixings to cooking utensils to laundry soap. We only had a family of five, but this house could comfortably accommodate a large group. It’s a very private placement, surrounded by trees. Although there aren’t mountain views per se, you are at the very top of a private mountain road, the last house nestled in a woodsy lot so it is quiet and secluded. The kids loved the pool table, and the Wi-Fi worked great for both school and work purposes. The house manager was lovely, responsive and very accommodating. Depending on your needs, there may be one caveat to this house. It is maybe 2 miles up a narrow steep and winding lane, so if you’re a squeamish driver late at night or in inclement weather, you might be uncomfortable. But a great, clean, well- maintained and cared for property with lots of windows and lots of room. Last comment: Use Google maps or Apple Maps to navigate, not Waze. Waze Takes you to an entirely incorrect street that it thinks is close to the property.

simply amazing
we have stayed at a number of places in the area and this home is far and away the best. the only minutia that could be better is that there are no mountain view's. that being said we would stay here over a different home with a better view given the perfect layout of the home.

INCREDIBLE Home for a Family Gatherings
This house is amazing! It was the perfect spot for our family to gather for a wonderful 3 day weekend. We had so much fun cooking meals together in the fully stocked kitchen, enjoying fires on the outdoor patio, playing pool in the basement, and eating around the table. Everyone had a very comfortable bedroom. Our only very small disappointment is we didn't know they do not want the indoor fireplace used, just the outdoor one. Other than that, the house was so much more than we were hoping for.

We had a big group and this house worked great. Has big screened in porch with fireplace which is great place to hangout during COVID. Easy access to hikes and other amenities. Well stocked although they need a new grill. Highly recommend.

The first thing you notice about this property is it is beautiful, and every day the lovely clean lines of the home and the beauty of the wall of windows and woods means peace and comfort. Everything we needed was there and the property manager was instantly accessible. Our family of 6 spend our time reading, hiking, hosting lots of friends and family for meals and games, and the hobby of the month was making usable archery bows and toy wooden tools and weapons. There is a stream with a beach for wading and damming and water play. Entertainment systems are top notch, high quality appliances and an Instant Pot, tons of identical silverware, ample comfy beds, all these things and more made staying here detailed delight. You can hike on trails from the yard, there is a lovely farm stand at the bottom of the lane, the lane itself is a perfect daily gym to walk. We would return here again and again. Or forever.
