Comfortable house
We enjoyed our stay in East Vail. House was perfect for our needs, which included hanging out with our 3 grown kids and their 2 dogs, between ski trips. Big family room with comfortable furniture attached to a nice open kitchen was ideal...David was responsive (disclosed that the pictured hot tub had been removed before we booked) and was diplomatic when my loud kids caused a neighbor/tenant to complain on New Year's Eve. Also was cool when I told him the dog ate a couple of remotes:-(
We'd stay again.

Great place for family vacation!
We are thankful it worked out and it was a great trip! Communication with David was great and we appreciated his flexibility. It was a trip spent eating, and playing games with our family. Went into town one day but with all of the covid stuff we just enjoyed spending time together at the house. Thanks for a great stay!

Excellent place in East Vail
Enough space for our large group of friends/ family. Excellent communication with John, the owner. The upper level is updated and very clean, downstairs could use a little TLC. Loved the hot tub and proximity to bus stop!

Great Place Excellent Host
We are 2 families who have skied new year’s week together for 16 years. John’s house was the best value we have experienced in all our years. Very comfortable and well appointed, but we didn’t feel like we might break something at every turn. Clear and accurate communication and expectations met. House is very comfortable, well stocked, and near public transportation. We had tons of great snow snow. The drive was plowed, and a fully functional snowblower was also available for our use.

Classy ski chalet with a comfortable feel
Really enjoyed our Spring stay in Vail. The neighborhood is great for walking and hiking, and there is a bus stop right down the road for easy transportation. The house is laid out in such a way that we were able to divide by family and feel we had privacy, but could still gather in common spaces for meals and hanging out. Owner was great to communicate with, and solved our few small issues quickly.

Great house for a large group. Plenty of space and very comfortable.
We loved having so much space and plenty of bathrooms for a large group! John, the owner, was very easy to reach and always friendly and helpful. We will definitely keep this house in mind if we all travel to Vail together again.

Great for hiking in East Vail
This location is great for summer hiking. Besides all the places you can drive to around Vail, you can walk several great hikes from out this house's door. (Gore Creek trail, Deluge Lake trail, Bighorn Creek for the adventurous, or the paths along the hills or the walking path/bike ride to Vail)
The house has nice facilities (clean and modern kitchen, bathrooms, TV and WiFi) and a hot tub to return to after hiking/skiing.
The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Summer Fun
We came to Vail in the summer and had a wonderful time. The area is so beautiful, we didn't want to leave. The house was great. It is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood, minutes from town. We had a really large group, 3 families and 13 total people, and the house worked wonderfully. There would have been enough beds for 20. There was also a bathroom for each bedroom, which is very important, especially with a large group. The house is very nice; granite countertops and stainless appliances in the kitchen. The middle floor bedrooms have beautifully tiled steam showers with glass walls. There is even a sauna in the garage. The owner was great to work with, very accommodating. The hot tub was even cleaned and heated just prior to our arrival. I would highly recommend this rental.

Wonderful Ski Rental
We rented John's house for a week-long ski trip in February and I would highly recommend this rental. The house is comfortable, well-furnished (and great if you have a large group of single friends or families with kids where you need some "non-couple" bedroom arrangements), has a well-equipped kitchen, wonderful hot tub on the deck and sauna in the garage. It is located in a very lovely, quiet neighborhood with some great mountain views. No car needed as house is right on the free bus route - very convenient (we only used a car once to get to the grocery store which is also on the bus route but on the other side of town so nice to have the car for our one big grocery run). Was also easy to walk to some hiking/cross-country trails nearby on a non-ski day. John was very helpful with answering questions about the house and other information needed about Vail. Given all the nearby hiking, I think it would be a great rental in the non-ski months as well.
Would also recommend some very good restaurants in Vail -- Sweet Basil, Pepi's, La Tour, and Lancelot in Vail Village, and Tavern on the Square in Lionshead.

Serfaus Ski Laeufer...A real treat in the Vail Valley!!!
Our Favorite Place in the Vail Valley!
Although I have spent many years living in Colorado I grew up skiing in Serfaus Austria. European friends looking for a true "Colorado Experience” this is the place!!! The home has it all at a very fair price.
It’s 4 comfortable rooms feature very comfortable beds (2 each) and private bathrooms with each. This part of the home allows a comfortable retreat for each couple / guest. The amazing living room / kitchen allows for the social breakfast, apre ski, and dinner time that is a must for those who expect a small European hotel / bed and breakfast (of course the food and “Gemuetlichkeit" needs to be provided by you).
Some of our favorite things:
THE BEST HOT TUB…ever!!! Massive jets to soak and massage your aching muscles after a long day (You will not get off the
largest Ski Mountain in North America in time to make it a short day). The Tub is always clean and ready for service for and your group!!!
BUS SERVICE: The bus runs every 20 minutes or so for a short 15 minute ride into Vail Village or back to East Vail. No Car needed!!!
HEATED GARAGE: Enough said!
60” PLASMA TV: In the living room…perfect for movie night with your group. 48” plasma TV’s in every bedroom for those who need a bit of quiet time.
WASHER / DRYER: Things do not smell so good after a day of skiing / riding…so wash them.
BOOT / GLOVE / HELMET DRYER: Get off the slope and dry all your gear overnight with a switch of a button.
Thank you to the owners of this mountain get away for sharing this great home at a price that can not be beat in the Vail Valley.
Dieses Haus ist in einer super Lage und Preiswert!!! Einfach Geil...

Vacation of a lifetime
This place has it all! The most beautiful views in Vail Valley which are the East Vail Shoots. This place includes a Jucuzzi that makes a hard day of powder Skiing a delight on the old muscles. Some of the other pluses of this mountain mansion are granit counter tops, heating gas fired stove for extra heat, wine cooler, 4 premier large bedrooms with private bathroom, even a addition 5th bedroom and bath in the loft area for extra unexpected guest or kids to have their own play area. This place will sleep 20 plus people if needed which make the cost a easy choose.

Very Comfortable and Spacious
my family and I had a great time in Vail. The house is ideally located in East Vail. The garage is heated and that is a real plus. Everything worked fine and we found the house to be very comfortable.

Excllent value chalet with everything the owner stated it wold have.
I have rented many time through VRBO. I have never had an owner that paid such attention to detail. The owner called to make sure all was fine in the chalet. He made sure we had everything we needed. With all the snow at this time of year, the owner had the driveway ploughed every day. We could not have had a better stay.

Home away from home
What a terrific mountain house! Close to the bus to Vail Village to go skiing and then a terrific hot tub for relaxing afterwards. Beds to accommodate more people than I can imagine under one roof with the ability for a little privacy when needed, very functional kitchen and dining area that made us feel like we were at home. Heated garage a major bonus!!! Not to have to clear the over two feet of snow Vail received while we were there off our cars, store our equipment and put out boots on the boot dryer! Wish I didn’t have to leave and go back to work, but can’t wait to go back again.

Great House, perfect location
This large house is perfect for a group of adventure seekers! Located on the bus top and close to town, you can easily be at the slopes in no time.
The house comfortably held our large group, especially the kids. The adults had space to mingle and the kids had room to roam! All members enjoyed the large hot tub.
We love staying at this home!

Great for extended family/multiple families
We had a great time with a group of 13 in 4 extended families. Plenty of room to give each family own bedroom and bathroom while sharing great common space and extra sleeping room in loft. East Vail location great for biking to Vail Village in summer and easy stroll to bus stop year round. Local park excellent for young kids. If toddlers, might want to bring safety gates for stairs as loft steps steep but fine for older kids.
We did this in summer and had a great time in Vail, wouldn't hesitate to come back for any other season. Great wild mountain views out virtually every window! Plenty of parking as well.

Great place to stay
I've stayed there several times when in the Mountains and will continue to stay there in the future. Big place, beautiful, situated a bus ride away from downtown Vail but away from the hustle and bustle. Large kitchen and family room area. Bedrooms are big with everything you need. 100' from the bus to ride to the slopes or downtown without parking hassles.
Great place to stay in Eagle and Summit Counties.

Had a great time on our Fishing Extravaganza. The house was perfect! Had Six adults. Everyone was very comfortable. Enjoyed the place. Hot tub was perfect after long days of fishing. Would love to bring my family back for a week long ski vacation next winter. Thanks to John for making everything so easy and enjoyable.

Great Home in Vail
Super location whether in summer or winter. We walked to wilderness trail heads from the home. Adjacent to free in-town bus service. Home provides plenty of space with great views of East Vail chutes from living room and deck. Two bedrooms downstairs makes it private for couples. Two master suites on main level are convenient. We really enjoyed staying here and will be back during the winter for great skiing.
