it is extremely loud at night, they did warn us that ir will happen but it was worst than we ever expected

Very cute rooms, bungalow style, loved the outdoor shower and staff were very lovely.
Can hear the club next door until late at night

It was close to the main square and restaurants. The pool area was very relaxing and the stone huts were quaint and very dark Which allowed for very good sleeps. Bacalar itself was one of favourite places with friendly people, good food, and a gorgeous lake to swim in. on of the few places on the Yucutan that has free beach access.
The bar behind the hotel was the place to party and if you were a light sleeper it would keep you up. if you like to party it would be perfect. Also our rental car was broken into our front and the spare tire was stolen. Viva la Mexico

Lovely bungalow in a jungle garden, close to the lagoon and square. A nice experience in Bacalar. We loved the outdoor shower. The birds are particularly tuneful here. Staff are lovely too.
The windows have no mosquito nets. The music from the nearby bar kept us awake. Not a fault of the resort, but we didn't sleep well. Shame!

The place looks beautiful and the location is very central but, because of this there is a lot of loud music during the night from a bar very close by till 3am. If you want to have a good sleep DON'T GO HERE!
The staff is friendly but they don't put effort to provide practical information.
The room is very basic and lacks practicalities (e.g. dry hooks).
The shower was cold during our stay of 3 nights.

very convenient spot and cute jungle cottage feel in the middle of town good pool and nice staff
the night club next door, ear plugs sorted it but be aware

The cabins were very nice and comfortable, and the bathroom was amazing with an open-air shower. Beds were comfortable and clean. The location felt like a little jungle in the village. The staff was very helpful and nice.
Despite the nice location and the kind staff, the club next door blasts music which is so loud (weekends) that you can’t have a proper sleep. We were there from Wednesday until Sunday, and the volume on Wed-Thurs was okay but Fri and Sat was very loud. Make sure to bring ear plugs.

Very nice atmosphere, cosy cabins, great location, suberb staff that was really helpful in everything. From switching rooms, organizing a sailingtrip and very early checkout because we left for Calakmul. noise did not bother is in our sleep at all. was not as loud as some other reviews might suggest. had a great stay.

Next to noisy nightclub that played all night until 6am.
Toilets didn't work

the room was cute.
One of the worst night sleeps i have ever had in my life. What they do not tell you is that on Friday and Saturday nights there is a club next door that plays music from 10:30pm until 6am, SO insanely loud that it feels like there is a speaker in your room and the walls rattle. It felt like you were trying to sleep at rave on top of the speakers. We were not warned of this by the staff and even though we were in the room farthest away, it was horrendous.

Since the booking went via booking.com, I kindly ask you for a 100% refund (we were promised a refund for 1 night, but since the hotel is not even giving us the 1 night and sends me the email to cheat and is not honoring any of it’s commitments + the noise form the 2nd night was even more unbearable than, from the first night). In my modest opinion, you should even give this hotel a fine or delete from your website. I also invite you to check the reviews on the booking.com site, where there is not mentioned once about the hotel being in a neighborhood “full of clubs” or reviews from customers who had sound issues.
Would like to make a complaint against the Aldea Che-eek hotel in Bacalar, Mexico. On arrival, we were informed that the neighbours were somewhat noisy. We asked to change rooms to one where the neighbours could not be heard as it seemed to be a known problem. The staff told us that our room (next to reception) was the one with the least noise problems. The first night we discovered why. There was a party going on next to our room, which we informed the staff about the next day.We slept very badly. The staff advised us that we could get a refund for 1 night, which seemed fair to us. We stayed for the 2nd night, but upon arriving at our room in the evening (+/- 11 P.M.), it seemed like our room was in the middle of a club. We went back outside, discovered that there was a nightclub adjacent to our room and informed the staff that the music was very loud. We agreed to talk about a refund the next day at check-out. That night we did not sleep until 4am !!! The music was very loud, below is a recording of that night. I was shocked when I received an email 10 minutes after the night we complained again (02/09/2022) that we complained again about the noise to the staff, that there was hotel in a neighbourhood with clubs and we should be informed before sleeping there. Email proof received on 03/09/2022, while our check in was 01/09/2022 and check out 03/09/2022. The next morning, when we wanted to ask for a full refund (We paid cash), the staff member at the front desk immediately referred to the email that we should be informed about the nightclub noise (FYI there is only 1 club next to the hotel, this is not a neighbourhood full of clubs and we were informed on arrival that neighbours tend to make some noise, not that it was like the DJ's sound system from that one club was literally in our room).

Cute little bungalows among banana trees, really nice vibe, super friendly staff and amazing location. They also have a big tv with netflix which came handy during the daily rainstorm.

the garden is beautiful
it was noisy at night
4.0 / 5.0
The hotel consists of several bungalows/huts, which we really liked. To get to the rooms you walk through a little jungle in the backyard which is covered with palms and banana trees - really beautiful. The room has a huge bed which was really comfortable and the outdoor bathroom made it unique. The location is perfect - it's just a minute away from the center with all the shops, restaurants and bars; and also really close to the lagoon.
The noise from the bar next to the hotel was not at all bad. From the previous reviews we read that it should be really loud, but we didn't had any problems and could easily sleep - I guess this depends on how sensitive you are in your sleep :-)
- The shower only had warm water on one day, the other day it was cold
- The room is pretty dark, the one light bulb is not filling the room with light
- There was just few possibilities to hang / put your clothes

We loved the place and all the intentions behind the way they made the buildings. workers were very very friendly and helpful.
we stayed 2 nights. the noise of the bar wasnt that bad. but the alarm of the reception kept making noise every 10 minutes both of the nights. we didnt sleep at all because of it.

nothing !

The location can't be beat - really cute room, VERY comfortable bed, great outdoor shower. A fun little Palapa situation that we really loved...staff super friendly, helpful, everything great except the late-night noise which due to location, can't be avoided...
This was no fault of the hotel, but the location means that you are hearing the louder bars / clubs nearby until roughly 12:45AM (on weekdays, wknds prob later). Earplugs are provided - the hotel is aware of this issue - but for anyone looking for absolute peace and quiet, this is not the place. Still very lovely though!
