The house was very clean with a well-stocked kitchen and other amenities such as paper towels, nice quality toilet paper, enough dish soap, shampoo, and extra blankets. Property was also landscaped beautifully and was an easy drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia as our main attractions, but we also enjoyed the town of Ellsworth to stock up on groceries or for a coffee before heading out. Air conditioning was easy to use so we always felt comfortable. When I booked the trip in March, I regretted not booking sooner since I couldn’t locate anything in Bar Harbor, but now I’m glad I stayed in Hancock and would stay in the house again if we.are in the area. Also, some, perhaps older, reviews mentioned there was not a TV large enough for family view ing, but we did have a large Smart TV in the living room. Very enjoyable!

Really enjoyed this place. Lots of room and clean. About a 30-40 minute drive to the entrance to Acadia National Park. Susan, the property manager was very responsive.
The only thing that prevented a five star rating was that we were expecting three FULL bathrooms, based on the original listing, but there were only two full bathrooms. The third was just a toilet and utility sink connected to one of the bedrooms.
Grill also didn’t fire up with enough heat to use—might have a been a propane line problem, so we had to bake fish in the oven instead of grilling.
Other than that, it’s a great place.

Property was very clean and met our needs very well. We did not spend much time at the house.

A nice comfortable home. Lots of comfortable seating. Very easy check-in. Quickly responded to our questions. Close to Bar Harbor and Acadia NP. Walmart and Price Chopper nearby.

Comfortable and quiet location. Hot shower and comfy beds.

This property is nestled in nature. Convenient location to Acadia and Bar Harbor. House is well laid out for couples traveling together

My husband and I and 2 friends stayed here. Very clean and comfortable rancher. The house is laid out perfectly and 3 bathrooms was an added bonus. We would recommend staying here. Close to everything.

The home was exactly like VRBO listing. Susan I’d SimplyRentalsUSA was excellent in communicating and addressing my questions.

Very Clean and comfortable stay. The manager was very helpful with check in and questions during our stay.

This was a nice house to stay in with all the amenities that we needed. The bedrooms were large enough for my family and there were nice gathering spaces including a large deck outside. It's close enough to Acadia that it was a relatively short drive whenever we wanted to hike in the National Park or visit Bar Harbor. Not a ton of things to do in Hancock itself, but it made for a nice relaxing vacation for us. My dad appreciated the Downeast Scenic Roadway (he's a train guy) which is the one (major) thing that is in Hancock. We did take a puffin tour which was a fair distance from Hancock but it was worth it! Puffins, loons, seals and other wildlife.

You could not beat the location of this lovely home. 30 minutes drive to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. We loved swimming from one of the local beaches and can also recommend Echo Lake for swimming. Very responsive to any issues and can’t recommend enough.

The location of the house is wonderful -- surrounded by nature but a short drive to local stores and amenities. The property manager was helpful and responsive. Getting in and out of the house was a breeze. Comfortable furniture and beds. We only had minor complaints. The living room TV was useless because it was not hooked into cable, antenna, wifi, or anything else; the only TV that worked was a tiny one in one of the bedrooms. There could have been a few more pillows and drinking glasses. The propane tank ran out of gas and we had to run to the store to get more. All in all, though, a great place that we recommend.

The property was a lovely place to “land” after a day in Acadia with many amenities. We had a bedroom and bathroom for every adult and the location was quiet and quaint. Highly recommend this listing!

This property and home are in a convenient location for hiking and visiting Acadia National Park. We appreciated the air conditioning, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, washer and dryer, and propane grill. The host is very responsive to all communication. Check-in was very simple as well. Wonderful place for a family to stay!

We very much enjoyed our stay here while visiting Acadia National Park. We did long hikes and enjoyed having a comfortable place to come back to. The King bed in the Master is extremely comfortable with good pillows.

After eight years or so looking for the ideal spot on the Maine coast for a vacation, we have finally found it. This is the perfect location for us to get to restaurants, events and attractions. It is about 30 minutes to Bar Harbor, Winter Harbor and less than that to Blue Hill, if so inclined. If ones turns left out of the driveway, one is in the middle of Ellsworth in a few minutes. If one turns right, Route One in minutes away. But, the house is in an extremely quiet setting. This is ideal for comfort: clean, spacious with three bedrooms, 2 and a half baths on one floor. AND it is 1.1 miles away from the best cheesecake in the universe. (Of course, that is both good news and bad news.) The people in charge are easy to contact, both by message or phone. They are extremely responsive! Early in the rental process we had loads of questions and they patiently helped with the answers. Considering the central location, the price was very reasonable. Stay here again? No brainer, absolutely YES!

We wanted to have our own space and this home provided that for the five of us. It was ideally located between the main more frequently visited part of Acadia and the Schoodic peninsula (more low key but equally as beautiful). The manager was wonderful at communicating and responded quickly each time we reached out.

Easy booking, clear instructions, location is ideal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Very clean and great open layout for all to space out.

This house was absolutely perfect! This was our first VRBO experience and we were very pleased! The house was as described and more! Very clean and cheery!

Very clean and well-appointed. Close to all major activities but still quiet and peaceful at night. Would stay here again.

Spacious, clean, and quiet. we enjoyed our stay here. close to grocery and restaurants. really nestled in nature and about mid-way to bar harbor and winter harbor, making it a perfect place to stay if you want to visit and enjoy both places.
Hosts/owners don't live on the property so you don't feel the pressure of being watched, however, they are very responsive to any phone calls or requests even on Sundays. All in all we had a very relaxin stay and will love to stay again if we visit the area.
Thank you so much!!!

My husband and I loved the location of the property. It was 35 minutes from Acadia and Schoodic. The house was adequately furnished. We enjoyed sitting on the deck every evening having happy hour.

Nestled in Nature is a beautiful home. it was very clean, spacious, and in a good proximity to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Ellsworth, and multiple ponds. The management company was great! They quickly responded to our request for more propane and we were able to enjoy our barbecue later that evening.

Great Getaway
This was an excellent property. Close to shopping and not far from Acadia National Park. The fresh raspberries were great for our morning fruit salad. The house was well stoked in the kitchen and the baths. We had an excellent time and would highly recommend this to others. Thank you!!!!!

Pleasant home with all the room you need to relax after days of hiking and exploring the area. Exceed our expectations. The only thing that would make it any better was the small investment of a larger tv for families to relax and watch a movie together.

Quiet Retreat
We really enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed playing board games out on the deck while grilling.
It’s was great to be in a quiet house with plenty of room after spending six nights in hotels.

A well-appointed house about 30 minutes from Acadia. Felt very private to us, which we liked.
We enjoyed our stay at this property (5 nights). The home was clean and well appointed for cooking (we grilled on the deck). Prepare for about a 30-minute drive to Acadia (not a big issue for us). Be advised that the shower in the master bedroom is tiny, but the other full bath is nice with a normal-sized shower. Great having a washer and dryer in the front of the house. We just wished there were ceiling fans in the bedrooms and some nicer deck chairs on the hood-sized deck. We appreciated the communication from the management company throughout the rental process.

Maine vacation
Nice house and convenient location. Bar Harbor and Acadia are only a 30 minute drive away. There was plenty of room for our family of 4.

First time visitors to Maine
This property was comfortable and clean. We’re a family of 5 adults, and loved having 3 bedrooms & 2 1/2 baths as well as 2 sets of washers/dryers! We enjoyed the land around the property, giving us sense of nature and seclusion (although you can see other homes through the trees). It was an easy drive to everything we needed, including the forty-ish minute drive to Acadia NP and Bar Harbor. We also enjoyed the Seal Cove auto museum & Thurston’s lobster pound. We loved our time in Maine and would definitely stay here again!

Great place!
We loved Acadia! The location of this property was great. Very clean. Could use a few more supplies in the kitchen for cooking in. The TV was quite small. We had some rainy days and wanted to watch some movies, a larger TV would have been enjoyable for those days when you have to stay in. Overall the place was great and we loved Maine!

This was a bit farther than we would’ve liked to stay - about a 45 min drive into the park most days. But it was a nice quiet area. And plenty of space to hang out in the evenings as a family. The TV was TINY. Like, smaller than a computer monitor. And there wasn’t a wine opener. We appreciated the folder of information. Overall, a nice place to stay.
