Gorgeous interiors. Friendly staff. Extremely comfy bed and pillows. Great shower. Really nice evening meal. Good cooked part of breakfast. Excellent value for money.
Nothing too major but the cereal/ juice/ pastry bit of breakfast was a little disappointing. There was homemade granola but no natural yoghurt or even a small amount of fresh berries to go with it. Breakfast just needed a tiny bit of upgrading to match the rest of our experience at Bickley Mill.

Impressive and lovely setting; our room was spacious and well-appointed, with a lovely view, and was exceptionally clean; our bed was huge and fantastically comfortable, and the duvet was snug, whilst light in weight; breakfast was very good quality, varied and plentiful. But best of all were the staff members: so friendly and welcoming, whilst being ultra professional and efficient in all they did. They were all outstanding.
I couldn’t find fault, even if I tried.

Clean room, good shower
Very thin walls, could clearly hear conversations in the next room

Friendly and attentive staff, very efficient.
Bags of character, in a nice “off the beaten track” setting.
Yet well presented and maintained.

clean and comfortable
poor choice of traditional ales

The location .. the welcome .. the room .. the restaurant .. the staff. Everything was fab .. u .. lus!!
The walk in shower was great in 'Dartmoor' ... but being a rainfall shower, if you don't want to get your hair wet,
you really need a shower cap as the water comes straight down on top of you. Fortunately, I took one of my own with me so it wasn't a problem at all, but it may be a good idea to perhaps provide one.
This really is only a minor little thing as the shower was brilliant, but we feel it's worth a little mention.

The food was excellent & the room was very comfortable
The shower was not great as the pressure was very weak.
The internet was also very slow

The room was really big and the grounds of the pub are beautiful. The shower was really nice with good water pressure and temp. The staff were amazing, we were the only people staying I think and unfortunately we woke up late and had to leave quite quickly so didn't have a chance to eat breakfast. We did eat a light supper the night before, some of the starters and two coffees each. The food was beautifully presented and we really enjoyed it. It was also dead silence at night and pitch black which is certainly relaxing
The WiFi was really bad and there is no mobile signal either. Also the mattress was quite soft, the road to get here is very windy barely a cars width so can be difficult to get here if you are not a confident driver or have a van or something bigger.

Smoked salmon delicious, s- eggs freshly cooked
To have had muesli maybe, and fruit compote to add to cereals

Location was a bit out of the way. Our room was very hot even though we where given a fan. Breakfast was good with enough to eat.
Room was to hot we couldn’t open the window as we could smell all the cooking as it was realised out by the window.
