Paws a While was a great place for our group of 8 children and 8 adults - plenty of room for everyone to spread out and we enjoyed the common space and the nice back porch! The property managers were very helpful and everything went smoothly with check-in, check-out, etc.

We had a group of 12 stay here, and all 4 groups were happy with this stay. Everyone had their own room, and the house is very clean. Our kids enjoyed running up to the fire pit area above the house. My parents enjoyed having their bedroom on the main level so they didn't have to climb any stairs. If we all travel together again, this is our pick.

Very charming property with plenty of room for our friends to stay. Close enough to campus as well to be able to get to the games.

Lovely property in the mountains but still incredibly conveniently located to Blowing Rock and Boone. Spacious home and very clean. Would definitely return!

The home was clean and ready when we arrived. No issues with the directions and code to the door. The home had everything we needed, especially a hot tub :). We had 9 adults and 3 kids and the home had plenty of space for all of us. I would definitely stay again!

The house was clean and had plenty of rooms. There were games available to play and a pool table on the lower floor. Two of beds dipped in the middle a bit, but the rest were fine. The location is less than 10 minutes from Appalachian ski resort, where we took lessons. Overall we had a great stay and would come back again!
10.0 / 10.0
The place is well described in VRBO and managers of the property were excellent in communicating - especially about pets, the hot tub, and the steep gravel road. The fire pit and hot tub (which had great jets as was sparkling clean) were the highlights!
The only thing I would change if I could is the bathroom layout on the top floor (the third bedroom on the top floor has to go down stairs or through another bathroom to access it in the middle of the night.)
Thanks for a great holiday and kudos to the management team!

Great House near Boone and Blowing Rock
We had an excellent time staying at this property. Plenty of beds and the fire pit area and hot tub were a hit!

Fabulous house for large group
This house is fabulous for large groups; we had 14 people there for 5 days. The kitchen is easy to work in with several cooks at once. The bedrooms are great, and by spreading them out across 3 floors you have some privacy. We especially loved the large deck on the side of the house. The only problem with a large group in this house is that you need to bring disposable plates and cutlery, as there are not enough of these to feed everyone. We ran short on coffee mugs too, so good idea to bring these things with you. The reason I can't give the house a 5 star for cleanliness is that the hot tub needed chemicals after the second day and there were none around; also there was a drip in the ceiling of the main floor bathroom from the tub above, so the crew had to come out and clean the ceiling. The fire circle is fantastic - it's located up a steep hill behind the house and is hard to hike up to, but worth it. (We drove up there.) Overall this is a great layout for a family gathering and we enjoyed our 5 days there. The house is located beside Tweetsie, and you can actually hear the train whistle. It's also near Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk, so there are plenty of things to do whether you have kids with you or not. Even though this is a pet-friendly place we did not take our pets. It was clean though, and we saw no left-behind pet hair at all. Great place to Paws A While!
