About this house rental

Warm and cosy and plenty of room for the family. Only a few hundred metres to public transport, shops and all the major attractions. Beautiful and spacious rooms and a big backyard. Fully catered kitchen and fresh quality linen and towels. The house will make you want to move to the blue mountains as you immerse yourself with the vintage touches.

The size of this house will surprise you with lost of places to sit and read, eat together as a group/family, enjoy the fireplace and take in the view. It is in a great spot. You will have every thing you need to feel like you are in the blue mountains.

Full equiped. 4 bedrooms, 10 bed space and three bathrooms.

Room 1 is luxurious with a king bed, gas fireplace. The bed can be made in two singles if requested.

Room 2 has two bunk beds.

Room 3 (upstairs) has a Queen Bed, balcony, electric fireplace, and a single bed.

Room 4 has three single beds, an electric fireplace, and sperate toilet and shower. As well as a small balcony with a view over looking Leura.

In the lower part of the house, is a small toy room, washing maching and dryer and an third toilet and shower. Making it perfect for groups.

We loved exploring this lovely old property. Every room seemed to hold some beautiful artifacts or furniture, and you never knew what you would find behind the next door! The stairs to the top floor were steep and would not really be suitable for the elderly or for toddlers. The beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets and pillows, and we loved the view over Katoomba from the dining room windows. It is well located, being just a short walk to the centre of town. The communication with the host was great, she kept us up to date with all we needed to know. I would recommend this home to someone not wanting an ultra-modern place to stay, but one that is comfortable and with plenty of character.

The property is very close to the main street of Katoomba. It was a very cold weekend but the property had enough heaters and electric blankets for everyone. We managed to walk to the main street for dinner and breakfast, even though there were cooking facilities in the property. We initially had some login issues with a streaming service but the owner was very responsive and helpful, and the issue was rectified quickly. In summary, it was a very enjoyable weekend for my family.

The photos make this property look much better than it is. The positives: good shower (though bath needs re-enamelling), generous toiletries in the shower, nice main bedroom, heating and fire work well. The negatives: multiple items not working or broken (kitchen bin lid, sandwich toaster, coffee milk frother), location is on a busy street (might suit some), kitchen very poorly stocked so it’s hard to enjoy cooking (eg blunt knives), if that’s your thing, furniture very poor quality, garden a bit of a mess and unsightly, whole downstairs area just has the feeling of a junk room/attic. Don’t like to be critical. Read all the reviews - most much more positive than this one - and make up your own mind. Personally I felt duped by the listing.

Cute cottage with lots of space, main bedroom is downstairs, with 4 singles and a double upstairs (lots of stairs). We were able to block off some rooms from the children, we were afraid of the trinkets breaking if touched. Shower had hot water, decent kitchen. suited out needs and would stay again.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay in Lurline Gables. Its a three storey house and has great views. Looks exactly as in the pictures and very close to the shops. Alia was very prompt and detailed in her instructions. Highly recommend this place.

Had a charming energy and plenty of amenities. Only draw back were location of first floor and lower ground bathrooms. Owner gave access to more than most owners do in the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry. House was warm with available heating.

The house was beautiful and intriguing and everybody loved it. Unfortunately though we did find a large amount of black mold in the downstairs area and so no one was able to enjoy the history of downstairs. Also the upstairs bedroom howls when it’s windy. Other than those two issues the house was beautiful and rich In history and we greatly enjoyed it.

The location was great. The heating in the house and the showers was lovely. The number one thing I seek in accommodation is a good nights sleep. We used three beds upstairs (in two rooms) and the main bedroom downstairs. Upstairs the bedding was dreadful. My friend situated downstairs liked the bed, but had a problem with the pillows in her room. Sorry, I'm unable to recommend to others.

This house has a rather quirky layout which appealed to me but might not be everyone's cup of tea. The owner was very considerate and responsive. The cleanliness was very good, as was the location in terms of access to shops, restaurants, Three Sisters, bushwalking etc. I would happily stay here again.

Overall although we enjoyed our stay but the property it self needs rework.The property is good for winter with good heating but worse for summer as there is no windows that could be kept open.Balcony cannot be kept open as no fly screen and mosquitos were taking over the room.No fans and this made it difficult to sleep on really hot nights.with No air conditioning and no windows we struggled.

We enjoyed our stay at Alia's beautiful house. Very well positioned and clean. The only thing that we couldnt enjoy was the backyard as the lawn was overgrown. We would stay there again next time we are up in Katoomba. Thanks Alia!
