Visiting family in DC
Excellent accommodations, and host had everything prepared for arrival, very helpful!

We had a blast with our four kids. Apartment was perfect for us and close to the metro to sightsee quickly! Owner was very accommodating letting us check in early and stay a little later to catch our flight. Thank you again! We will be back!!

The apartment is extremely nice and very clean, just as described and pictured. James is very accommodating and communicative. However, We didn’t like the walk to and from the Shaw metro or riding the local bus. We didn’t really have any problems, we just didn’t feel safe at times. If you are willing to Uber in and out I would recommend staying here. I parked my vehicle on the street and didn’t have any problems. Wonderful apartment, mediocre location.

We enjoyed our stay at this clean and spacious townhome in a great location. The owner is wonderful and accommodating. I would stay here again, and recommend it to friends.

Great location and the space worked well for our group of adults, would recommend to others visiting the area

There were 4 of us including one age 85 and another age 91! The listing's photos accurately display the property and its features. The stairs within the unit are quite steep, so holding onto the rail and being careful was the way to go. The kitchen is very well equipped, though seemingly designed for giants ;-) ! We loved that the living room had enough sofa/chairs to provide everyone a comfy spot. Not a negative, a suggestion: add some grab-bars and anti-slide features to the bath tubs. Great experience overall and communication with owner was very good. Would recommend.

While the location was excellent the house was lacking. Broken tiles and door handles, lightbulbs out and very large insects (cockroaches). Nicer furniture and some attention to detail would vastly improve this property. For the same price we have experienced much better value at other properties.

Extended family stay for 4 nights. The house is on a fairly busy road and the noise can be an issue in the front bedroom but it’s much quieter at the rear. In general the house was really good but could benefit from a few minor bits of sorting out - the blinds in one of the bedrooms don’t extend all the way down, there are a few bits of decoration needed (gaps between tiles in a bathroom etc) and there was a leaky window which let in rain during a storm. The host/manager was very responsive and helped sort out the problems as far as he could. Beds were very comfy and the kitchen was is well equipped. The area is up and coming, which makes it really interesting but like in a lot of the city you need to be sensible at night.

We had a wonderful time. The few things that needed adjusting for our group were quickly taken care of by the host. Took a minute to get used to the city noise but even that was charming. Took a bit to figure out the TVs but that enabled us to spend time talking and reminiscing. We hope that we didn't make too much noise for the host and his neighbors. Hope this lovely place is available next time we visit D.C. Thank you, James!

Great location. Nice set up for three couples with bedrooms and three baths. Easy walk to Metro. Enjoyed nearby restaurant “Royal”.

My family (spouse, kids ages 8-16, and I) stayed in this home for a week to be DC tourists. Having spent part of our vacation squeezed into a hotel room, we greatly appreciated having enough space and bathrooms for all of us to recharge separately. The portable air conditioners throughout the home made the temperature comfortable. We used public transportation during our stay, readily accessed via bus (just 1-2 minutes) or metro (10 minutes). The main street was occasionally a little noisy, but it wasn't disruptive to my children's ability to sleep. The owner was very quick with all communication, which I greatly appreciated. I'd recommend this home for future stays!

James was very quick to reply at all times. We forgot to ask for a parking pass and he provided one very quickly. Easy to get around via Uber or scooters or walk.

We had a great 3 day trip to DC- great communication and prep for our time from the owner!

It was a great location. Lovely neighborhood, comfortable setting. We either Ubered, walked or took the metro everywhere. No need for a car. We ate out mostly, but the house has a full kitchen if you want to save money by cooking for yourself. We were 3 couples and we split the cost. It was much less expensive that 3 rooms in a hotel!!

Near subway, central location, easy walking, good kitchen, washer dryer, very practical

Great place overall and super convenient for Green Line Metro access. However, like many D.C. places, this place is old and breezy. We found it impossible to keep the house and bedrooms at reasonable temperatures during the winter. The back two bedrooms were 85 degrees, while the front bedroom and main floor were 60. No amount of adjusting vents could compensate. This wasn't a huge deal but did cause some sleeplessness. In addition, many of the windows don't close or won't stay closed so traffic and city noises are much louder than they could be.
Even with those minor inconveniences, my family would certainly stay there again! The complementary coffee, comfortable beds and plentiful bathrooms were wonderful.

The place was very nice and comfortable. All went smoothly with the parking and it is a convenient location to the tourist spots in Washington D.C. and to restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay and am very happy we stayed in this neighborhood.

We are colleagues that came to DC for a conference and the home was great for our needs… large tables, good seating, and multiple bathrooms. It was nice to have amenities like coffee and tea available ehrn we got in, as it was cold.

The home definitely met our needs for 3 couples. Very comfortable. All amenities were as described. The neighborhood is good. Plenty of local restaurant choices. Host is very accommodating for requests of recommendations. We used Giant grocery store that we walked to. By preference, we used Uber for all transportation. Parking is on the street and requires the help of the host to obtain the parking permit. Also, be sure to read all parking signs closely.

Great place for my family of 5 to stay and explore the city. James was prompt in returning messages. Everyone was happy including 3 boys ages 11-11-13 and wife whom are all spoiled rotten.

Parking: Had to ask a neighbor where to park. The neighbor was surprised we weren’t given a parking pass from our “Host”. Received a $30 parking ticket. These people are sincere when they say you need a pass. I watched three cars get towed away Sunday morning.
Entry: City garbage can at the front gate. Yard was so overgrown, the sidewalk was 1/2 width. A RAT greeted us as we came across the entry walk.
Front door so ill fitting, difficult to open and close to lock( we were warned the door was difficult).
An old mail slot near the bottom of the door was so rusty and missing parts we could see outside. If we could see out, our friendly RAT could see in, so we barricaded it every night.
The Host asked us not to wear shoes inside, but if you go sock footed or slippered, you received a good dirty sock or slipper.
Beautiful dining table, soiled seats, tho. Same with couch.
Tub faucet in third bedroom about to break off.
Bottom hinge on third br door pulled away from door facing, screws on floor, I left under sink under the cabinet.
Fireplaces: Not sure they have ever been cleaned, as there was debris that had fallen apparently from the chimney, into and onto the decorative candle lanterns and fireplace floor.
I assumed there would be A/C. There was. Little noisy portable units for each of the three bedrooms and one for downstairs.
I had asked our host, James, about the availability of a keurig coffee maker. He wrote me and said yes to the Keurig, grinder, coffee pot, no Starbucks nearby, but a Dunkin’ at the gas station a couple blocks up. SURPRISE! Actually NO Keurig!
Beds were comfy
Towels were dirty. Actual fecal matter on a hand towel in the master BR.
We were a little late leaving beyond our 11AM checkout- I was confused about the time, so we vacated at 11:35. I was called by James and the cleaners boss. I could continue. But I’ll stop here. We were celebrating my mothers 89th birthday. We live in a home that is one hundred years old.
There’s absolutely no reason for all of this.
I think this home has a lot of possibilities, but it needs supervised cleaning and yard care before this should be labeled “Elite”. Questions? Go check it out for yourself.

This town house provides a nice base for us to visit relatives in DC. It is very clean and nicely finished, recently remodeled.
It had 4 bathrooms & 3 bedrooms. Kitchen nicely furnished, though we did not use it much.
Good WiFi.
We were able to park on the street with no problem, moving the car across the street from 4-630pm if we were home at that time.
James answered all questions in a matter of a few minutes.

Great place with wonderful amenities
Highly recommend this property. In a wonderful historic neighborhood location, very close to the "metro" for easy transport to the whole metro region. Wonderfully appointed. Would have enjoyed staying more than the five days. We were delighted.

Wonderful weekend in the city
Our small group of friends (3 adults) fully enjoyed our long weekend in this beautiful home! It was an excellent location from which to explore DC, and walking distance to some great eateries (we enjoyed Dacha beer garden and Zeppelin sushi). I only wish we could have stayed longer to spend more time in this home itself, which was as wonderful as the pictures promised. Each of us had our own bedroom and bathroom, so we had plenty of space. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. James was super responsive to our questions leading up to our stay. Couldn't have asked for more, and would happily stay here again.

Just in case it’s cold
This place is the best. Everything you need for 4 women! Lots of bathrooms, everything in the kitchen you may need. Only item is it changed to cold weather and the downstairs does not warm up without making upstairs to hot. Location was awesome l, communication was wonderful.

We had a great time at this home. We were a group of 6 teachers on a little getaway for Spring Break. The accommodations were great. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed.

DC Trip
The property was very clean and well stocked. The beds were very comfy and bathrooms also very clean. We enjoyed the working kitchen and beautiful dining room. Our only critique was uncomfortable furniture in family room. We would also warn that the street noise is very loud at night.
