Meticulously planned and sitting on the banks of Big St. Germain Lake, this spectacular five-bedroom house is the perfect fusion of modern comfort and lake house charm, ideal for your next vacation with family and friends! Big St. Germain Lake is a 1,600-acre recreational lake ideal for water sport activities such as water and jet skiing, kayaking, canoeing, and swimming right from the dock! Fishermen can reel in trout, musky, walleye, and bass. St. Germain Sport Marine is less than five miles away, with plenty of boat rentals available, from jet skis to pontoons. Winter guests will even be able to rent snowmobiles for some cold-weather adventure. Take the family out to enjoy a good hike on Shannon Lake Hiking Trail, Awassa Trail, or Fern Ridge Hiking Trail, all five miles or less from the home.
Inside, the living area is bright and spacious, with spectacular lake views through wall-to-wall windows. Guests will love kicking back in the great room, dressed in luxurious furniture, a mounted flatscreen TV, and a stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace, with access to the covered back deck furnished with a swinging bench and comfy chairs. The screened porch is the ideal setting for catching up with old friends over glasses of chilled wine while the kids explore the yard with the family dogs.
The gourmet kitchen is the dream of any family chef, with gleaming countertops and high-end appliances that include a French-door refrigerator and dishwasher, a large pantry, and a center prep island with breakfast bar seating for four, plus a high chair for the little one. The handsome dining table has plenty of seating for up to 10 dinner guests and there is a barbecue dining area right outside the screened porch with two picnic tables and a gas grill, perfect for your next grill session. Good thing too, because after a day on the lake with the home's complimentary rowboat, kayaks, and canoe, there's nothing like throwing a little char on some freshly caught fish!
Gather everyone around the furnished firepit area to spend an evening savoring toasted s'mores and constellations while waves lap against the shoreline just beyond. When it's time to wrap up the night, you'll have five bedrooms and additional sleeping arrangements in the loft to take advantage of, each with its own mounted TV and unique furnishings. The main bedroom enjoys access to an en-suite bath through sliding barn doors, plus access to the covered deck.
Wake up to the aromas of freshly-brewed coffee and head out to the private dock to enjoy the sunrise with a favorite novel. Spend a day in the sun and don't forget to visit the wet bar when it's time to take a break from all the fun. The home's private washer/dryer will keep everyone's laundry sparkling clean, so you can afford to pack light for your trip. Challenge someone to a game of Ping-Pong while the kids play each other with the provided children’s games. Have some work to do while you're here? The home's high-speed WiFi makes it quick and easy for remote workers and students to complete their projects on time. The central AC will keep everything nice and cool during those hot summer months.

They layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen and dining/living room are huge, ample space for everyone. Bedrooms were all very large, closet space was nice and large to store our luggage and clothing.
Our biking group will definitely come back! The biking trails are beautiful, restaurants were very good, and coming back to this house was very nice. Never ran out of hot water, and beds were comfortable.

Everything regarding the house was fantastic.

Property was wonderful, excellent room size, be it bedrooms, kitchen, utility, great room, 3 season or porch. Yard was great, and dock was long enough to accommodate our boat and jet skis. Highly recommend this home.

I enjoyed sitting on the screened porch and looking out at the water. The colors at sunset were beautiful. Ducks, loons, and an eagle were fun sights to see.

Great home with ample of space inside and outside. Firepit and sandy beach lakefront with a small dock. Location is ideal near supper clubs and 20 mins or so into either nearby town. Only issue we had was smoke alarm keep going off - bring 9v batteries.

The house has a great common area. 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and was very clean. Could have had more kitchen towels and dish cloths but had more than enough bath towels. We had a great stay!

We lived our 5 day visit to this lovely home. Very well appointed and everything you need. I would recommend if you plan to cook in, be sure to bring any seasonings, spices, oils etc. Often people will leave these things behind, but the only thing they had was salt and pepper. Not a issue, just a heads up for next renters. The kitchen had all appliances you’ll need. The house was beautifully decorated and the outside area was perfect for relaxing and having a fire in the evenings. We will definitely go back again. And if you need more room, the owner also rents the home right next door that is brand new.

Gorgeous home in a perfect location. Walking distance to two restaurants and beautiful views of the lake.
Disappointing that after I asked the driveway and walk be shoveled before our arrival, knowing they were getting lots of snow. The managements response was, “ I'm so sorry for the condition of the driveway! We usually supply the homes with a shovel so that guests can plow the driveway if they are able to”. I am sorry but I expect that to be done for us seeing as we paid over $3000
to stay there. The following day it was shoveled and plowed by management only because the neighbor was embarrassed that it was not done.

If you’re looking for a place to have multiple families or a group, this is it! The owner made many smart decisions in terms of layout and spacing. The great room is spacious with a lot of seating for dining/games, the kitchen has so much room for your own food/ belongings, and each bedroom has plenty of walking room and closet space (and king rooms essentially have their own bathroom). The beds and linens are also very comfortable.
The mudroom, back screen room, fire pit, and garage space are all extra bonuses that are so helpful when renting a house. Again, the owner thought through everything one might need and want.
Vacasa was easy to work with and thankfully we didn’t have major issues during our stay, but with the fees you pay it’s surprising that you’re always supplied with the bare minimum. (Couple of rolls of thin toilet paper, a couple of dish towels, cheap paper towels, some laundry detergent). When paying a lot of money to rent a house, it’s nice to be supplied with quality and plenty of materials to keep your stay comfortable.
Lastly, we stayed during the winter so if you’re looking to ice fish or snowmobile, this is a great location. Walking distance to two bars/restaurants is also a huge perk. We look forward to returning!

First timers to Saint Germain and had a wonderful time. Home location is very quiet and peaceful and would be a perfect summer getaway for a large group. Very cleanly and spacious. Highly recommended

Huge space that is so open and welcoming. Our mixed generation family reunion had a great time and able to gather in a central location for cooking, meal prep, dinning together, game time and football viewing with a cozy fire.
The home has everything you’d want or need. The beds were comfortable, the quality of the lines, furniture etc was exceptional and everything well appointed. Impeccably clean as well. So nice to have our dogs with us vs having to kennel them.
Our group did some ice fishing and had a little luck even. We’d come again!

This beautiful home was the perfect impromptu retreat for our family Thanksgiving reunion. Our Mother’s health is declining and it was apparent this would possibly be the last holiday she would be have the capacity to participate in. The house easily accommodated our party of 12 and 2 four-legged family members. The beautiful open-concept chef’s kitchen
allowed us to make a cherished memory preparing our holiday meal as our Mom looked on. The amenities made us feel like we were at home.

The home is absolutely beautiful, and the kitchen is setup for a chef! We loved the view from the living room. So easy to get to and alot to do within miles. We will be back! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

We arrived until 4:15pm (check in was 4pm). Upon entering the house, it smelled of pot and full of flies and fruit flies. We opened all windows to air out the house and used the wax melter to help get rid of the smell and found a flyswatter to kill the flies in the house. The landscaping was overgrown, the lawn of full of weeds and numerous ant hills everywhere. When going into the bedroom to unpack suitcase, we found hair all over the master bedroom sheets so we immediately stripped the bed and washed the sheets. The stove and range hood was covered in what appeared to be hardened bacon grease or some other grease used (we assume by previous occupants). I was going to wash the grates in the dishwasher only to see the note that the dishwasher was out of service (Vacasa should have informed us of this as we planned on cooking all meals on the property). When changing the sheets from the washer to the dryer, I dropped one of the pillow cases on the floor and when I went to pick it up, I touched the floor which was gritty. I was wearing white socks and when I looked at the bottom of my socks, they were filthy. We found a wet swiffer and cleaned all of the floors on the main floor including the bathrooms. The swiffers were almost black and covered in dirt. At that time (2 hours after arriving and still not unpacked because now we were cleaning), I received a text from Vacasa asking about the cleanliness of the property. I gave it a low score and someone from a 503 area code asked for a description and pictures of what the issues were. I sent them all of pictures and told them while I have taken care of most of the issues, my concerns were the dishwasher and grass/ants because we have two small rescue dogs and I didn't want them bit by the ants. The person from the 503 area code responded that they were alerting someone from the local Vacasa team (this was a Sunday night). On Tuesday afternoon, I sent a follow up text informing this person at the 503 area code that no one followed up. At 8:45pm on Tuesday night (our last night at the property), Jessica called me to inform me she is looking at the ticket and reviewing the pictures. Jessica was my only contact from the local team and while she was responsive, I wish she would have contacted me Sunday night or Monday morning. There was also construction next door Mon and Tues from 6am-6/7pm daily. Vacasa did not inform me of applicance issues or construction. We would have cancelled

The house is very spacious and great for a family! Tons of room in the kitchen, dinning and family room area. We really enjoyed the space and ability to spend time with everyone in the same area. We really liked the modern look of the home and the backyard area is certainly a plus for a family. Beds are very comfortable and sleeping for family of 15 was easy!! On the downside Maintenance and cleaning was lacking before our stay. Floors were not cleaned properly along with the oven and grill. We needed to clean a lot when we got there and the dishwasher leaked during week and was never fixed. Garbage is an issue as it was never picked up throughout our stay. I think the positives are greater than the negatives and we would recommend a stay with a large family!

This property had it all! from the gourmet kitchen, to a dinning room table that could fit us all. Loved the sandy beach close to the house for the grandkids to play in. Everything was just beautiful!
5.0 / 5.0
The house was clean and beautiful! Check in and check out process was as simple as opening and closing the lock box. They are building a house right next door this year so that was a little annoying, but nothing major. We loved that there were 2 bar/restaurants within a block of the house, and the grocery store and gas station are less than 10 minutes away. The water is pretty shallow at the end of the pier which was perfect for kids to swim, but difficult to tie a deeper boat to. It was fine for a jet boat but not for a deep V boat. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely recommend this house!

We had a great time bringing together a large group of family and friends to enjoy the start of summer. The wrap around porch, all the outdoor spaces and direct lake access made a great week of outdoor enjoyment right out our back door. Plus the homes amenities and comfortable beds made the trip relaxing and enjoyable. Plus, there were lots of places to find a quiet place to relax and wind down. This is a great getaway location and home!
3.0 / 5.0
The house inside was beautiful, perfect set up for our family of seven. Unfortunately unlike the picture the yard was not mowed and continue to grow all week with lots of weeds, and directly next-door another home is being built and we spent one whole day listening to a dump truck and tractor as they brought Phil down the hill backed into the property and laid it all the way up the basement to ground level. From 7:30 AM until 8 PM. And it was a day that we actually did spend quite a bit of time around the house because the lake was a little choppy for boating. I communicated to the manager and supposedly someone it’s going to drop off a gift card maybe for gas and that never happened, and since then I have even sent my home address to have it mailed and that has also not happened. I think it’s great if the property manager communicates to take action but when action isn’t taken that almost as worse!

Extended weekend getaway
The house is big and updated. We loved the open concept main level. Lake access is awesome, although we went in April, so it was still frozen. We also enjoyed that it's literally 3 driveways down from a supper club, and had a couple bars the opposite direction in walking distance. It was very, very quiet this time of year. Loved it!

Perfect winter getaway home for extended family. Spacious, clean, beautiful location and directly off snowmobile trails. We will definitely be back next year!

Christmas House
This is a beautiful house. It was clean. We had plenty of bath towels. There was only a sponge for kitchen clean up. I like to use a dish cloth for clean up and I would have liked more kitchen towels including a dish towel to dry dishes. We needed hot pads and the management brought some out to us- thank you. My sons are great home chefs - they loved the great Viking appliances. The king sized beds were very comfortable. My grandchildren had a lot of fun in their room with the bunks. They loved the swing outside. Christmas was great celebrating in this beautiful home. Thank you.

Potential Renters Beware
I reserved this home the summer of 2020 from Karen Cropsey of Cropsey Vacation rentals. Cropseys sold it in April 2021 and Vacasa had to honor our reservation and rate we paid. When we arrived at the home it was as beautiful as all the pics show but keep in mind the furnishings, decor and all high end fixtures was done by Karen Cropsey not the current owners. So the following issues we had I do not believe would have occured had the Cropsey's still owned the home. Walking in there were flies on the kitchen island because there was sticky stuff all over it. There are no screens on any of the doors so that you could leave the door open for a cross breeze. Unlike the pics there was NO firewood for us for campfires. The WIFI is useless don't even bother. There were no kitchen towels I had to go to town and buy some. The kids got covered with swimmers itch after their first time in the lake so no one ever went back in for the entire week. We had 12 people there for a week and two small garbage cans in the garage for our trash. They were full by the end of the 2nd day and there was no mention of trash pick up anywhere in the guest book. Needless to say the home is now owned by absentee owners that pay Vacasa to manage it so they (the owners) really don't have a clue. What we paid for the week in Summer Breeze this year (remember we booked with Karen Cropsey from Cropsey Vacation Rentals) has now more than doubled for the same exact week next summer 2022. It is well over $10,000+ a week now with the new owners and frankly it is NOT worth it. Will not be returning.

Gorgeous Home just a few issues...
The house was gorgeous plenty of room for 6 adults and 6 kids. The kids loved the bunk bed room and the sand to play in outside. The location was also great being close to town and a few restaurants. However, the main reason we rented the home was so the kids could swim at the cottage and right off the dock. What we did not know about the swimmers itch or duck itch until it was too late. Most of the kids got it and a few adults. And were miserable all week despite everything we did to try and prevent it. I would not recommend swimming off the dock or at the cottage, if you you plan to make sure you have anti itch cream and medicine in case you get it. The other main issue was the WiFi was horrible. It kept going out and not working. And most of the TVs needed the WiFi connection to work. Only one garbage bag was left for us and one dishwasher pod. Those were things we thought would be supplied. We also tried to vacuum during the week but it had not been emptied when they cleaned so we just ended up sweeping when we could instead. I would recommend if you are looking for a gorgeous house and just planning on boating, enjoying outside. Would not recommend if you are looking for a cottage where you can swim at.
