About this house rental
This stunning, spacious, 4200 sq ft, Santa Fe stucco style home is within a gated community in Tesuque Hills that lies a few miles north of Santa Fe Plaza and is just minutes from the famous Santa Fe Opera. This custom home was designed to blend in and compliment the surrounding hillside. The home is situated on a hill facing the east in order to watch beautiful, unobstructed sunrises climbing over the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, from the large windows. Skylights provide ample light that accentuates the fireplace, decorated with coyote prints in the tiles, in the beamed ceiling living room. There is also a deck off of the living room to watch the sunrise.
The dining room is open to the living room, separated by a beautiful baby grand piano for your enjoyment. Off the dining room is another deck, with a barbecue, to watch the sunset or to enjoy the night-time stars.
There are two levels, professionally decorated, with art in nichos boxes on the clay walls. There is a dumbwaiter to transport groceries up to the gourmet outfitted kitchen. The kitchen is state of the art with Bosch appliances, a breakfast nook, and a built-in desk. At the opposite end is a cozy, comfortable den with a flat-screen TV to watch favorite shows and another fireplace to cozy up next too. There is a half bath upstairs.
In similar style to a berm house, Casa de Paz's bedrooms are located downstairs, optimally keeping them cool in the summer and warm in the winter. This gorgeous Santa Fe home sleeps up to 10 guests with four furnished bedrooms plus two sofa pullouts in the cozy den. The primary bedroom has a king bed, beehive fireplace, and flat screen TV with a small portal and a luxurious bathroom. In the second suite is the large, traditional Mexican inspired bathroom, a full bed and shares the small outside portal. The next bedroom has two twins that may be made up into a king bed. The fourth bedroom has a full bed and there is a full bathroom across the hall.
Lastly, there is a two car garage.
Approved dogs are welcomed.

Our family booked this property for a getaway. The property management company was very courteous and followed up expeditiously. There were a couple of issues during our stay. There were several leaks in the master during afternoon rain storms, all of the carpets were stained and there is missing or cracked grout in the master shower. On our final day my adult son was showering in the hall bath and the door fell from its track and shattered causing him several lacerations from the safety glass. With that said we mostly enjoyed our time at the home. It is located in close proximity to Santa Fe and is easy in and out to local venues. The home is well decorated and suited our group. The kitchen is well equipped and the furnishings were appropriate for the space. If the issues are addressed I am sure this home would be a great destination for your family or group.

Very nice. Did not anticipate two floors. Bedrooms should have luggage racks

The home is superb. It is spacious, tastefully decorated, well appointed, has a great location, is in a beautiful community with privacy, is homey, has a superior piano, and made our family vacation all the more special. We plan to return.

Wonderful place…close driving distance to Santa Fe and surrounding areas.

Property was nice but, the Checkin process was poor, as they weren't ready for us, and we waited 20-30 minutes to get our keys! Lady who checked us in was quite rude as well!
Also, location description made it appear that the property was across from Bishops Lodge...and it's not! In fact it was several miles from the resort!

We really appreciated the quiet location of this home, while only being a 6 or 7 min drive to the Plaza. It was roomy and the layout worked perfect for our family. Management was quick to respond when I told them the coffee pot was broken (and hadn't been cleaned).
I will say the check-in process is ridiculous for 2023. You have to drive to a neighborhood office to pick up the keys and then drive back to the office to drop them off. It makes absolutely no sense and is frustrating after you've already travelled for hours and just want to settle in. Just put a key lockbox at the property or use wifi locks. We travel a LOT and haven't had to do this in a long time.
If you go when it's really hot, the downstairs A/C struggles to keep the area cool but they do have fans for each room if needed.
I took off 1 star for the check-in/out process. 1/2 star because of the dirty coffee pot and lame A/C downstairs (where all the bedrooms are) and 1/2 a star because they put a big blanket over the piano with signs telling all the rules about it. Just remove the piano (It takes a lot of living space away), or don't rent your home if you don't "really" like having people in it.

Gorgeous Santa Fe Home
Beautiful stay. So happy we choose this place. One of the most gorgeous houses we have ever stayed in. The house was spotless and quiet. Short drive to everything we needed. Hope to come again.

Peaceful
Lovely views; near to everything we wanted to see but outside the city with space to breathe. Terrific house, well appointed.

Mixed experience
Large house with lots of bedrooms and living space. We enjoyed how all the bedrooms were downstairs and the living was upstairs. Decent outdoor balcony space. Good appliances in the kitchen. We appreciated the soft towel paper and the shampoo/conditioner/soap in each bathroom. Plenty of towels. However, we did run into some annoying aspects of the property. The house is located close the highway, so there was constant traffic noise. The heating was variable, causing some rooms to be hot while others were freezing, making it hard to keep everyone comfortable. Beds and bedding were not very comfortable and the descriptions on the website were confusing. We asked for bedding for the pullout sofas and never got a response. Water availability came in and out. When we contacted property manager on thanksgiving, we thankfully got a quick response, but continued to come in and out. No corkscrew or any stemware for wine at all, which was strange. Left us 4 garbage bags for a house of 8 for a week during a stay at home order, which was not nearly enough. No recycling in the neighborhood at all. The driveway is extremely steep and hard to navigate especially in snowy conditions. The garage however, was nice and roomy and big enough for 2 large cars and still room to move. Fireplaces were nice. TV room was nice, but no streaming services. Cell service was awful, but I think that is true for most of Santa Fe.

Great vacation!
Beautiful home, the owners thought of everything you would need during your stay. The views from the decks are amazing, the home is in a beautiful location and it’s located just a short drive away from the center of Santa Fe. Wifi connection is weak, but I believe it’s related to the area, that was only concern because I had a couple work meetings.

Great house for large gatherings
Overall this place was great. We had two families of four and there was plenty of room. The separation of bedrooms worked great for us and there were plenty of rooms to spend time for everyone. Kitchen was great and had all the necessary items we needed. Trips into town were very easy - maybe 10 mins.

Overall Lovely Stay
Overall we had a lovely stay at Casa de Paz. The house is beautiful and for our group of six adults, two children, and a dog, the space was perfect. The large, well-equipped kitchen meant that we could prepare a full Christmas dinner with lots of people sharing the cooking. I would have given the rating five stars, but the wifi that was promised was not working and was only replaced the day before we had to leave. The other problem was a leak in one bedroom that dripped and kept the occupants of that room awake.

Missing Room
The home is beautiful. With two exceptions it worked quite well for a family Thanksgiving retreat. the two exceptions:
1) One bedroom was unusable due to a terrible roof leak and the fact that the full sized bed was not large enough of r two people.
2) The water heater is terribly under-sized. It took forever for water to be heated in the master bedroom and kitchen. Bedrooms closer to the water heater were slow but adequate.
Overall, we would return, but we do believe the bedroom leak was a known problem that should result in a rate adjustment.

Beautiful, spacious home
We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. It was spotless and well appointed. The location had beautiful views and was secluded just enough for our liking. This home was also great for our two children. We will be coming back!

Plenty of room in southwest style
This is a lovely large home, decorated beautifully, in a gated community with views of the area. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything a large group needs. There are only two drawbacks to the property: lack of internet (extremely slow if at all), and double beds rather than queen beds in the additional bedrooms. We completely enjoyed our stay in Casa de Paz and would recommend it.

House is beautiful and the mountain views are awesome
House was stocked with everything we needed. Garage was huge for oversized vehicles. Only issue for us was the Wi-Fi and at&t service is not good at all in Santa Fe for your information.
