Had a great time. Kids had fun at the hidden water pond. Kyle was great to deal with. Very easy check in. When we had issues he replied quickly and was helpful. Would just say the house maybe could have been a little cleaner. Overall, a good stay and super location.

My crew came up to enjoy the beauty of nature with several planned hikes throughout Acadia. The most appealing aspect of this property was the proximity to Acadia. It was LITERALLY a 4 minute drive to the Acadia entrance and probably 5 minutes to the center of Bar Harbors shopping area. Communition with the host was flawless.

Clean and well-maintained property tucked away in the woods but bright inside. Swimming hole off trails in the back is an added bonus. Overall great place to stay.

When visiting Maine and Acadia National Park, there is no better place to stay than Woods and Waters! This open-concept family home is located at the base of Cadillac Mountain, steps from Acadia Park. Its location is absolutely perfect! The house has a detailed (waterproof) map of the many trails of Acadia that are left, right and all-around this wonderful property. It is a short drive (less than 4 mi) down the street to get to downtown Bar Harbor (Otter Creek turns into Main Street Bar Harbor. It was wonderful to go to downtown for the whale watching and shopping but yet retreat back to Woods and Waters for the cozy, relaxed get away in the woods. We even explored the trails on the property and found the creek and watering hole. The kids swam and made wonderful memories. Catrina was extremely responsive and helpful before and during our trip. This home is a definite YES!!!

Property is close to town and close to Acadia which makes it great after a long day of hiking or sightseeing. Skylights are great at night in the master bedroom but make it a little difficult when the sun creeps in before 5 in the morning. We didn’t do much cooking but the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. Would recommend having more plentiful paper towels and toilet paper available for guests as those aren’t things we usually worry about running out of at other properties visited in the past. It was also nice having a house in the woods and we were able to hike to the creek nearby. The window units worked well keeping the home cool during the day with the summer heat but otherwise weren’t necessary at night time when things cooled down. Overall would recommend staying at Woods and Waters.

The location of this home was great, surrounded by green woods, right by the beautiful Otter Creek. The house was spacious and very pretty with beautiful wooden ceilings. They had a collection of books, toys, and games that my kids happily dig into. Owner very responsive to some general inquiries I had. I recommend this property and would rent it again if we are lucky enough to come back.

Comfortable house in a perfect location close to but outside of town. Clean and spacious, it served us well for our family vacation. Our little one especially appreciated the toys left at the house. Although the trail was not well marked, we found the water and rocks, which were amazing. The house was so nice, I wish we could have stayed longer.

The home is beautiful, in a wooded area with lots of room for our family. It is conveniently located close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Some of our family camped at Blackwoods Campground which was just a 5 minute drive away. I would highly recommend staying here. The owners were quick to answer any questions and even had some suggestions for things to to in Bar Harbor.

This house is more expensive than its competitors in the area, but it’s well worth it if you prize “bright and spacious.” It’s truly bright and spacious, and very well designed for a group. This is especially important if you think you might not be spending all your time outside.

Did not meet my expectations
House is ok and close to all attractions. One full bath for 6 adults can be difficult to manage. Putting small things like hand soap and extra toilet paper etc can make life easy for guests.

Cozy and private home
Had a great experience at this property. Everything was ready for us when we arrived. Comfortable beds, and cool nights for sleeping. The only think we didn’t realize was there was quite a staircase leading up to the house and had to haul our luggage up . Thankfully our retired husbands were up for the challenge.
We would definitely recommend this private getaway home especially since it was so close to Acadia!

Great stay at Woods & Waters
My family and I stayed at this property in late August. The house was very clean - with ample space for a family of 5 to feel comfortable and spread out. Incredibly close and convenient to major hiking trails and food/shopping in Bar Harbor. Communications with the owner were seamless - which was comforting to us as we were headed to Maine as a hurricane was approaching. Overall had a fantastic stay at this property and look forward to returning in the future.

Location can't be beat
Excellent location, close enough to everything but away from the hustle and bustle. House had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Internet worked fine, but be aware that there is no cell service (typical for the area which had spotty cell service most places). Although there is a TV, there is no access to it without an account (Netflix, Prime, etc.). We had accounts so it wasn't an issue for us and we only used later at night as we were out all day enjoying Arcadia and Bar Harbor. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again in the future.

Peaceful stay in the woods
A nice place to stay and we would stay there again. The setting is peaceful and pretty and the house was comfortable. Internet worked fine, but not much cell connection. Given lack of cell coverage, it would be helpful to have a lane line phone available. Close to one Acadia entrance, which is great, and not too far outside of Bar Harbor. Smoke alarm went off in the middle of one night, and the owner came by to replace the battery in the morning. The issue did not repeat after that. Main floor toilet was a little wobbly. Everything else that we used worked as expected. Plenty of room for the family to spread out and relax.

Highly recommended
Great location. 4 miles to town and right next to jogging trails. Acadia park is close by. Felt like we were in the middle of the woods. The cabin was bigger then expected. It was clean and very nice.. It was also well supplied. It has a brand new grill and fire pit too. We really enjoyed our stay.
