The owner did not reply to some of the messages I sent.

central location in a historical building with access to multiple amenities downtown Minneapolis had to offer.
none

The location can’t be beat: 7 minutes walk to the entrance to the convention center and just blocks from various stores to get what you need for a nice stay.
The space was clean, cozy, and the kitchenette had plenty of space and equipment for food prep.
This is a really special building in the middle of an area with lots of big-name hotel chains. So glad they are preserving this building and letting people use it!
The sheets were brightly clean, but they were a little old and had some pilling.
The kitchen supplies could be better selected (there were no teaspoons and the pans weren’t exactly the right type of metal for the induction cooktop, so it was a little hit-or-miss on getting them to work).

Location was great for the NFL game
Part of the rug was sticking up so could have tripped and couldn't get the thermostat to work but luckily it was nice weather. Also couldn't get just regular TV stations.

The hotel is very well located in the city center, there are big supermarkets and bus stops nearby, it is very convenient to go anywhere, the room is spacious and bright, there are microwave ovens and refrigerators, can meet the basic needs of life
Since it is self-service from check-in to check-out, there is no cleaning service even during the few days of stay, and you need to empty the garbage by yourself and prepare another garbage bag. You can't even clean yourself if you want, because there are no cleaning tools in the room, and the water from the faucet in the bathroom is very small, including the toilet flush. When I arrived, there were even tissues in the room that were not washed away. The shower room only has a very high fixed shower, which is very inconvenient for families with children, and the control lever of the blinds is very high, which is out of reach for short people, and the combination lock of the back door is broken, which means that other people may come in at any time, especially for living in the room located on the first floor and near the back door will feel particularly scared and very unsafe!

loved the aesthetic and the historic building. loved the keyless entry that made check in and check out super simple. loved the location and the walkability.
The bed was very uncomfortable, disappointingly so. it wasn’t soft at all. I was also disappointed that the body wash dispenser was completely empty. I didn’t bring toiletries because the listing said they would be provided.

It was different than a normal hotel and the old style rooms were nice.
The parking is ridiculous. If someone does not pull all the way in you get blocked. I ended up up paying for a spot in the next parking lot because I was afraid I would not be able to get out early Sunday morning.

We were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional ambience./style of the room and decor. History of the building was also very interesting!
Water pressure in the shower was very low. Shower door was broken.

ease of getting parking, getting into building, access to my conference
no directions on how to lock hotel door but there was very little not to like

Very spacious room, everything was clean, and the location was very convenient

I loved all the historical information that was displayed.
The water pressure in the shower wasn’t very good. It was odd because both sinks had great water pressure.

Location and quietness.
Hard to get into Networks.

The location, the history… it’s an absolutely stunning property
The parking. There is a lot the I assumed was specific to the property which is located behind the building. You need to make a reservation to park there, however it doesn’t seem to be reserved for just the hotel guests as there were no available lots for us to reserve. Fortunately there is another lot right along side the building that cost just a little bit more to park.

The room was elegant, the check in process very modern. The ambiance very quite especially for the location. The location was perfect for events or if you need to travel near all major highways. The host was gracious and provided all necessities.

Such a cute property! I appreciated its central location to the conference I was attending and its amenities. The plants growing from the third floor were a lovely touch, the history lining the walls of the hallway was a treat, and the bathroom was GLORIOUSLY beautiful. Check-in was a breeze and the hosts were so responsive. The bed was comfortable, the thermostat was impressive. For those who like to eat their own food while traveling, there's a fridge that fits more than two items!
I did not love the smell of the common areas - I'm sure it's just how an old building smells, but it wasn't pleasant. The hot plate was interesting to use, but I'm sure it was operator error! I've never used one before and was a little surprised at how quickly it starts making things smoke... (immediately). The cookware was not as clean as I would like, but I recognize I'm uptight about my dishes! Same goes for the orange mildew collecting around the shower. The coffee was fine, but I would have loved a coffee maker that is versatile enough to allow me to bring my own - you cannot find those little cloth packets of coffee in most grocery stores.

There was no cleaning for a whole week. No coffee or tea or even a person to contact for toilet rolls, hair cutting and hair dropping all over the place. They did not give me the check in details till 5pm. This- is a horrible service with nothing at all. I will put in a Google review. Yes, they will say, why did you not report or inform, well there is no one to report. The cleaners simply said, put in a complaint and ask for your money- but doubt it, whether they will give you anything. Had the worst time, just had a room to sleep, no information on AC or supplies or laundry or anything in the room. Please return my money. I will inform booking.com folk but I know nothing will change.
No service, no cleaning, no one was there to contact, had to stand outside for hours waiting for the code to get in.

great location, lovely furnishings, great value for money. very pretty set up and spacious certainly for one, would be fine for two. love the key pad check in and out, no key to loose! very very happy i have found a central, affordable, clean and nicely furnished Minneapolis pad ! love the all hours check in, felt very safe even tho downtown
need a little more clarity in room as to how things work - ie tv and cooking facilities to avoid double handling, ie person having to come to room to explain things
more blankets, but provided when i asked
a little noisy with sirens but solved with earplugs , and light spillage but solved with eye mask, both of which any sensible traveler travels with !
attention to detail re cleanliness - dust under blinds and drawers, one hair in shower which no real biggie but a little off putting coffee filter left in machine.

Enjoyed the extensive display in the hallways of the building's history and the view of the historic Foshay building.
Would have been nice to have a box of tissues. Note that the hotel requires you to send them your passport or driver's license by text message before they allow the booking.

so beautiful inside. comfortable and warm and cozy.
I wish it had a cafeteria.
