Beautiful centrally located Air BnB. Very lovely hosts. It was a dream

Loved it so much! So much history and character
Checking in wasn't the easiest. It was a small inconvenience.

The main house was very nice. Lots of beautiful furnishings. The wine in the evening was a nice touch. The hostess who showed us around was very friendly. Good heating system for our chilly stay.
Had to pay $10.00 for off street parking. No breakfast but there was coffee and orange juice in the dining room. Can’t remember if I did or didn’t request a private bath when booking. The bath was just next door and I think we were the only ones using it the night we stayed but a private bath would have been better for us. Not a deal breaker tho.

The room was in the carriage house of an old mansion. I liked its vintage and classic character and the general setting. The room had a good shower, but there was not much light to put on makeup, or much space for my toilettries. There was also no room to work inside the bedroom: no table to set the laptop, for example. There was, however, a common area just outside the bedroom with tables and chairs, coffee and tea, and a refrigerator for client use.
What I found best was the ease with which I could get into my room, as I arrived late and there was no personnel in the facilities. I even had a welcoming note waiting for me. The bed was also very comfortable. All in all, it was a reasonable option for my needs.
The worst part was the noise coming from the three young women occupying the room next to mine. Our rooms were only separated by a door and I could hear everything: their conversation, their music, their laughter (around midnight!). I did call the hotel's personnel and they managed to "silence" the people next door, but it was a nuisance.

It was gorgeous
Because it’s an old building it was kind of dusty

I loved the way the downstairs rooms were redone to give an essence of the time period- very thoughtful and warm. The owners have clearly put a lot of care into keeping up this wonderful property!
It wasn’t super handicap accessible.. no elevator or ramps- this is just a general note for those who may have accessibility needs.

Friendly staff, beautiful space, and cute animal friends!

The Mansion was unique, beautiful, and amazing to walk around and explore.
That I do not live there!! 😀

it’s a unique historic property in the heart of Minneapolis. it was fun to spend time on the wide porch and inside reading.

Very unique place to stay! Enjoyed exploring the mansion and all the historical artifacts inside as well as the haunted basement. Free pinball and arcade machine as well as pool table. Some pastries and coffee/tea/juice provided in the common room for breakfast. Is located in a nice quiet neighborhood nearby the outdoor sculpture garden.
The toilet seat in one of the bathrooms was loose. It would be nice to have a small soap bar provided but shampoo and conditioner bottles were present.

When we booked I thought it was a B&B with a full breakfast but found out they had coffee and rolls was a plus!😊
It was kind of hard to find... good thing we have GPS!

Beautiful room with a private patio, fun wine and cheese hour, loved the ducks, cat and dogs, koi pool was amazing. Very interesting place to stay. So different than just going to a hotel.
Nothing, although bed & breakfast usually makes you think breakfast is included in the price.

This is such a unique place stay! I loved being in a beautiful, historic place. The (free!) wine in the evenings was an excellent addition that made it feel special! Truly a great place to spend some quality time with my partner.

Great location; beautifully and uniquely appointed rooms, Lovely common areas. Nice touches with wine and snacks in the afternoon and coffee, OJ and breakfast treats in the morning.
Parking should be included in the room rate.

Fabulous atmosphere and amazing experience. Loved the estate and the grounds were beautiful.
Our rooms were a little dark (we were in the stable room) more light would have been nice and a TV would have been a good addition, but nothing we couldn't do without.
4.6
No breakfast. Thin walls - can hear other guests’ conversations like they are right next to you.

Staying in a unique museum, part of Minneapolis history, a real home. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The staff seemed to work hard at their jobs, were almost invisible, the rugs and surfaces were clean. The antiques were awesome! Museum quality furniture. A bronze flute player. A London cab! How often do you see one? Played pinball and pool. I liked the history photo exhibits upstairs. When a hot water handle was loose, I let him know and it was repaired right away. The house is quiet and you have a sense of privacy even though they were booked full. Free bottles of plain water in the carriage house, good. I got excellent directions to the Walker Center. Enter through the sculpture garden that you access by crossing a bridge at the edge of the park at the foot of the hill. The closest hotel. You are living in Minneapolis at this location.
The dresser had a stained cloth on it, with a welcome note hiding it. Should be cleaned or replaced. I was unsure how to find coffee on the premises. I thought the frozen pizza and big screen tv in the basement of the carriage house was over priced, but I relaxed there. It would be good to stock tourist maps from the city, and a recommendation list of local eateries or closest coffee house. The online maps did not have the short cuts that my Lyft driver knew to and from MIA. The city is easy to walk but I needed a map. The pastry coffee service on Sunday looked magnificent in the dining room but I did not have information about its cost or if it was gratis, so I skipped the experience. Leave a text to invite.

So unique, cozy, and elegant!
only the clanking radiators and it was easy to hear other doors opening at night if in the same floor as other visitors

Great location and history.
We were placed in the forge room connected to the carriage house. Super cool history but one feature was very odd! There is an original “oil pit” in floor which was converted into a fish tank. We were told fish were removed for winter but water remained and smelled stagnant. We weren’t really expecting a quirky theme room so would have been good to explain these details upfront so we could have maybe upgraded to something else.

I liked everything. The whole experience was way above and beyond anything I could have imagined. I felt like guest at an old friend home.
The fact I had to leave and go back to my regular ol life.

It felt really cozy and the people were so friendly. Felt like a B&B you'd see in a hallmark movie.

The decor and vibe were exceptional. Like a visit to a haunted mansion (we stayed on Halloween). Someone has really taken the time and care to restore and maintain the building. The rooms were very creatively designed. Very whimsical.
The mattress was a little uncomfortable. Everything else was great.
